I HAVE GONE 4 TIMES. I TAKE DIFFRENT PEOPLE AND I LOVE IT EVERYTIME
It was evident that the performers worked hard to achieve a quality show. The historical presentation was great. It was great to have the performers personally bidding everyone in attendance farewell.
I've seen this show many times and it is still manages to stay fresh each time. The setting is wonderful and the cast do a wonderful job.
Overall, I enjoyed the show and the storyline. The costumes were gorgeous and the use of the mountain as a part of the production was very impressive. The show seemed a little "high schoolish" at first. The dancers were slighly off the beat and the acting was stilted. As the show progressed, the cast seemed to get more in sync with each other and it flowed better. "Viva El Paso" is a unique way to educate and entertain locals and visitors with our special history. I'm glad I went.
I haven't been to Viva El Paso in awhile but have already gone twice this season. I love it. I'm also getting several groups of family and friends together to go see it. The colorful costumes and energetic performers are wonderful. I will be sure to keep spreading the word!!
The event was longer than in past years. That made for a really long drive home to Las Cruces. We took friends who had not attended before. We missed the traditional 'Viva!' with the horses, not so many long folklorico at the end of the second half. I missed the tribute at the end with the American flag in prominence. We are moving next month out of state, but would not recommend this to first-time goers. The dances were great, but all of our party did miss the old 'Viva! El Paso.'"
