    Event of a Lifetime

by Tightwad on 11/12/11The Oak Ridge Boys Theatre - Branson

There is no doubt in my mind why Vicki Lawrence is in a class of her own. I absolutely enjoy this show and will definitely see her again if she returns to Branson. She is talented, funny and my gosh, can she sing. If you have never seen her perform, you should make a point of seeing her at least once, you will not regret your decision. In face, you should put this show on your bucket list.

    Comedy in the gutter.

by nixamousa on 11/7/11Oak Ridge Boys Theater - Branson

We may have been naive . . . we expected a funny show from Vicky Lawrence but she showed a definite lack of comedy writing skills by her almost continous display of rude and crude humor. If you like dirty, this show is for you. If not, save your money. In any case, don't take your children.

It was a little more raw than I had expected. I could have lived without some of the language, but it was funny too.

Mama takes you on a hysterical ride!

by Lynneth on 12/7/10Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

As always Vicki Lawrence does a fantastic job. If you loved the Carol Burnett show and Mama's family this is a great trip back to the shows. Mama even gives great advice on life's current issues. My only negative thought is that I wish it had been even longer.

    Vicki was the greatest

by HobbyHollyBabe on 12/6/10Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Have not laughed so much in years. Her material was unbelievable. She kept you laughing from beginning to end. Starting off as herself was very enlightening, and ending with Mama was unforgettable. She was greaaaaaaaat!

Vicki & Mama a Two Women Show was great!

by walkerre on 12/6/10Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

What a great show. Vicki Lawrence was great with stories about her career, true stories in her life it was all told in a great way. Her imitation of Carol Burnett was right on. She even sang her hit 'The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia' and real well too, her voice is great. When she came out as Mama things got even better, she talked about DWTS (she wanted know why Bristol Palin was dancing - 'I thought it was called DWTS, she's not a star). A fun time was had.

Vicki & Mama were a riot!

by walkerre on 12/6/10Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

The show was fantastic! Vicki took us through her career & sang The Night The Lights Went Out In Georgia - didn't expect that, what a treat. When Mama came out things got even funnier, she was up with current topics and really had everyone feeling great. I would see her (them) again. Well worth the $50 price of the seats.

Vicki was so incredibly funny both as herself and Mama. I really enjoyed taking time to forget about outside life and enter into the world of laughter and a trip down memory lane. Thanks so much, Vicki!

    Vickie & Mama was Fantastic!

by PamPhillips on 12/6/10Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

Vickie Lawrence was as funny as she always has been. She had everyone laughing so hard we were crying! And this was even before Mama came out. Her skits on a lady in the bathroom was dead on....We've all been there done that! But she made it funny! And Mama was Mama that we love. I wish I could have given her the beer she wanted. Mama says she is all about health, I wish I could have spoken to her, I work at Cypress Place Senior Living in Ventura, and we are having a Health and Wealth event in January and she would be the best speaker we could ever hope to get. So, Mama, if you read this please call me.

    Show was Good

by alicea588 on 12/6/10Fred Kavli Theatre-Thousand Oaks Civic Arts - Thousand Oaks

She was a good performer. I didn't care for some of the jokes and inuendos but I guess that is what sells. Sang a few songs but I could not get a clear hearing for the words so most of those jokes passed me by.
