Disappointed
by Mimis3 on 3/30/24Tacoma Dome - TacomaI was disappointed in this show. Too many vendors selling the exact same stuff on different aisles. Not enough presentations. An hour was way too long to attend this event.

About the So Northwest Women's Show
An expo focused on women and women's lifestyles, the So Northwest Women's Show features two stages and hundreds of exhibits for a weekend of fun, freebies, fashion and feasting.
As of its 31st year, the So Northwest Women's Show is a part of KOMO ABC 4 TV and KOMO 97.7 FM, and many of the KOMO radio and TV anchors will be on-site as hosts. Other celebrity guests from TV, radio and the arts will appear at the expo to meet-and-greet, and some give talks, lead classes or teach seminars on their areas of expertise. Different celebrities come on Saturday than on Sunday, so check NWWomensShow.com for details.
The 2019 hosts include actor, author and television host Mario Lopez, Dancing with the Stars champion and choreographer Lindsay Arnold and HGTV and DIY Network home improvement maven and storyteller Matt Muenster. And this year the make-or-break business brains of reality TV show Shark Tank are hosting an open call to hear one-minute pitches in real time from innovative women who want to launch small businesses, new products and creative endeavors of all kinds. Show up Sunday morning between 9 and 11 for your chance to pitch.
Other favorite live events at the gathering include live music, DJs, and group dance lessons in line dancing and ballroom taught by professional dance instructors, as well as fashion shows from both boutique and national clothing designers, with couture displays put on by Macy's and other major garment industry retailers.
In addition to clothing booths where you can spot and shop for the latest trends, a number of makeup artists, hair stylists and perfumers will be on-site demonstrating products and giving makeovers and giving beauty tips. Other fun booths show off the latest trends in jewelry and accessories like hats and handbags. And wellness booths with herbs, soap, scents and candles will send you home with tips and products to relax and be healthy.
Good taste also extends to home decor and design, and those who find HGTV remodeling shows inspirational will be delighted to see the array of home makeover displays and exhibits from vendors showing off the latest in lighting, fixtures, and interior and exterior furnishings and finishing touches.
And of course part of the fun of the women's weekend is tasting the best of the Pacific Northwest from food and drink exhibitors, who show off their wares and offer cooking demonstrations, booze tastings, fresh food samples and show-only deals on favorites like locally made chocolate, wines and smoked meats.
Other major sponsors and exhibitors will have info (and free swag) for your workaday life in the Seattle and Tacoma areas, whether that's as a mom, grandma, student, entrepreneur or all of the above.

15.00 a person. Not alot of booths focused on anything in particular. Lots of things that should be at a home show. Used to be alot of home made crafts and now it's 3rd party clothes and expensive stuff.
Enjoyed the Women's Show, but it certainly wasn't as big as I remember the past ones have been. Used to going through the whole place, not just one side. Enjoyed most of the booths, got a number of freebees and bought a number of things. Only took us about 2 hours to get through everything. Hope next year's is bigger, have always enjoyed going to this event.
This event has gone down hill, it was nothing like it used to be and so it was so incredibly small. It really should have been free, it was that disappointing! Years ago you’d get a free gift upon entry even if it was as a makeup bag or cards. This time it was a reusable bag that literally fell apart right away. Save your money and avoid this event.
I have been to about 6 NW women’s shows in the last 15 years. This was by far the least impressive one. We went to one at the Tacoma Dome in 2020 and there were fewer exhibitors and fewer attendees than there had been when it was in Seattle, but it was a really fun event with enough exhibitors and attendees. Then they went a few years without doing it due to the pandemic. We went to the 2024 event last Sunday and they didn’t have the nice decorations in the front entry. There were far fewer exhibits than at the 2020 one. There were far fewer attendees than I have ever seen. The only advertising I saw was on the KOMO news which we happened to see because my husband watches that station. Most of the people I know didn’t even know it was happening until I mentioned that I was going. The exhibitors we talked to were really nice and had great samples and products, there just wasn’t all that many of them.
All the booths were wonderful and helpful and answered all questions, I bought plenty of items, I look forward to this every year.
Im so glad i attended this show the information and products that are out now is just what i needed as a consumer and being on a budget i try to get the most out of my money and because of the show i feel empowered to do that it was fun and really nice
As the kids say, this event was mid. Compared to how it used to be, it was basically a high pressure sales bizarre. You used to go and trick or treat for beauty product samples. But it was a lot of mlm groups. That’s mostly what it was. There were lots of macarons though. You could sign up for chiro, gutters, windows, I think a new roof as well, you could sign up to go to a seminar for a time share (at a later date) and get a trip. Nothing very different there. We left and went to point Ruston. I bought some licorice (best thing there) and a new scentsy warmer as well as some awesome beeswax candles. $15 admission to be pressured to buy things….at least the parking was free.
No interesting vendors, not able to bring in your own bottle water, even if he was brand new and unopened. Not enough choices of food. All vendors were just body massage, body oils, clothes and jewelry. Nothing to do at all with past years. Extremely disappointing
The show was alright - I remember it used to be this huge thing that you could spend all day at - now it’s so small that you can get through it in as little as two hours (maybe three at most). I wish it would be big again.
