Vanessa was magnificent as always!!! She continues to be an engaging performer with a voice as beautiful as cut crystal. Vanessa continues to display her vocal range with hits from R&B to Broadway! You won't be disappointed.
Vanessa was on her game. She was extraordinary!!! She was well dressed. Her band was well dressed. The band was great. There talent and the many years they have performed together shined through. They were a well oiled machine. Vanessa's voice is still strong and vibrant. Her material was impeccable!!
She brought us through her career with the songs we all remember and have wonderful memories attached. Her band is also very talented and it was nice to see how much she appreciates them.
Vanessa Williams is the ultimate performer. This was our first time seeing her in concert and she did not disappoint. I would definitely go to another show. Wonderful!
She started off her show with some sultry jazz renditions of Comfort Zone and The Right Stuff. Then she moves through some of her ballads to rockesque to Broadway. The way she emotes is something you don’t see from today’s stars.
What an amazing performance. This is just what my heavy heart and spirit needed during this COVID 19 era. Once the show began, I was immediately transported to happier times. Vanessa did not disappoint. She and her band are the true meaning of class. The music, the wardrobe change, the intimate setting - all perfection. I felt like I was being entertained at her home. I encourage anyone who loves real singing and a class act, go check out her show. You will leave smiling from the inside out! Your heart will thank you.
I sat in 4th row near the right side. During the first few songs (faster songs), the sound was very echo-y and the music too loud (not the first time I've had this problem at Civic Arts Plaza). I could hardly hear Vanessa's voice. Later, when she did ballads there was less / quieter music and I could hear her lovely voice much better. Civic Arts Plaza needs to do something about the acoustics. Otherwise, the concert itself was fantastic! Vanessa is so talented. I liked the fact that she talked about the songs and her experiences. She looked amazing and I love her voice. 5 stars for concert, 3 for sound so I'm splitting the difference.
Vanessa Williams put on the most wonderful show. She looks beautiful, now more than ever. Her voice is gorgeous. Her performance was fun and relaxed, warm and intimate and so exciting. Her backup singers were absolutely terrific and her 4 piece band was SENSATIONAL. (It sounds like there are a dozen musicians). Especially loved the Reverend’s (piano and keyboards) smooth and sexy voice. Hallelujah !!! Miss Williams sang her pop/jazz hit songs, some get up and shake it salsa and also some Broadway songs, from shows she has been in. I almost didn’t go, because of the fires, but am SO HAPPY I did. Fantastic show from beginning to end. An hour and a half of pure JOY !!!
Adorned in a green and purple sequined gown, Vanessa Williams took the stage and never failed to entertain her audience for a second. Her vocals were powerful, emotive and strong. She opened with one of her biggest R&B hits- The Comfort Zone. She then intertwined other hits such as The Right Stuff, Running Back to You & Dreamin. She also performed full songs for Colors of the Wind and Save The Best For Last. As well as covering Chaka Khan's Everlasting Love. Harking back to the days of Etta James- she sang a special song dedicated to former 5th Dimensions singer Billy Davis. He was in the audience along with his wife Marilyn McCoo. Her version of Lena Horne's Stormy Weather was fabulous from the first to last note. Ms. Horne would have approved we are sure. As well, Vanessa wowed us all with her cover of Children Will Listen from the Broadway musical Into The Woods. One of the show's best moments came when Vanessa performed "Love Is" from the first Beverly Hills 90210 soundtrack. This was one of her biggest overall hits. Sung with one of her band members (the originally featured Brian McKnight). Both of their vocals were absolutely flawless. There was one encore with a funktastic version of Work To Do. This was a minor 90's hit from her Comfort Zone album. The crowd went crazy!!! I have been a die-hard fan for 36 years and finally getting to see her live was truly a gift.
I wasn’t sure what to expect but Vanessa Williams was fabulous. She sounded every bit as good as she did when her first album came out and she still looks gorgeous Her band and back up singers were also really good and my husband and I both thoroughly enjoyed the show
I wanted to see her sing " colors of the wind" because when that song came out my daughter and her mother were in " Indian Maidens".....( like the boyscouts)….and I just remember her, my daughter dressed up like Pocahontas and really liking the Disney movie. She didn't disappoint and when she song that song, I had tears rolling down my face. Thank you Vanessa for taking me back in time :)
Vanessa is a great entertainer! She has a beautiful voice and is very personable. She sang her hits and a number of standards. Great show!

Disappointed that I could not get a signature on my very old CD's covers I'm had for many years. How do you get the backstage passes? Only half the seats were taken so wish Vanessa had time to meet with more fans. The show was great was great.
The show was so good. Vanessa Williams was entertaining, funny and sings beautifully. It was a great night out for the group of us that went to see her.

This concert showcased by Vanessa Williams was great. Not only was Vanessa the consummate professional, she also remained very humble and did not mind sharing the spotlight with her band and background vocals. Although, the concert could have been a tad bit longer considering it was on a Saturday night, I enjoyed the selection of her songs and Broadway tunes that were tastefully performed. I look forward to returning to the Atlanta Symphony Hall in the near future to experience more performers in this venue.
