In 2019 & 2020, Vanessa won the Blues Music Award for “Horn Player of the Year”. Vanessa has also been Nominated 5 times for "Contemporary Blues Female Artist of the Year" (2018, 2019, 2020, 2022 & most recently in 2023), winning the award in 2022!!

Vanessa Collier delivers head-turning, fiery, and passionate performances as a master musician who weaves Blues, Funk, Soul, R&B, and Rock into every show. With soulful vocals, searing saxophone, and witty songwriting, Vanessa is blazing a trail, racking up an impressive arsenal of honors. Vanessa has already singled herself out as an artist of distinction having been Nominated for 9 Blues Music Awards since 2017, winning 3 of them.

A 2013 graduate of the prestigious Berklee College of Music, Vanessa Collier has toured nationally and internationally, and released four critically acclaimed albums (2014’s 'Heart, Soul & Saxophone', 2017’s 'Meeting My Shadow', 2018’s 'Honey Up', and 2020’s 'Heart On The Line'. 'Honey Up' spent 9 weeks atop the Billboard Blues Chart in the Top 15, 3 months on the Living Blues Charts at #10, and continues to be spun on Sirius XM’s B.B. King’s Bluesville radio station.

    Saw Vanessa at Bayfront Blues Festival in Duluth MN. One word....UNREAL! So lucky, she's opening for Blues Traveller in Minneapolis in Sept. She should be the headliner.

    We saw Vanessa in Florida this past Feb/Mar 2024 and loved every minute of her show. Vanessa mentioned she would be at Jimmy's Jazz & Blues in Portsmouth, NH. We looked it up and immediately purchased tickets. We had dinner at the show and the food was incredible. We are looking to go back to the venue soon.

    Last minute booking. I was seated with three other women which was terrific . I met wonderful people while enjoying a truly fantastic show. I enjoyed every minute . Jimmy’s was a great venue as well.

    Vanessa Collier is a dynamic talent. She shares her message of positivity through her passion for music. She does not limit herself to a single genre. Her voice and lyrics are amazing and she walked around the club playing a mean saxophone! Jimmy's Jazz Club in Portsmouth NH is an outstanding venue to see live music. Jimmy's continues to deliver top talent, excellent food and a great vibe.
