Vanessa Carlton is a must see!!

    by Jennifer1033 on 3/20/17Birchmere - Alexandria

This was my third time seeing Vanessa Carlton and the show was amazing!! Skye Steele, her violinist opened with a few songs. Tristen was on next and I can safely say I am a new fan of hers! Vanessa's setlist combined some older favorties such as White Houses and Thousand Miles and Fair weather Friend along with her newer songs off of Liberman. Her stories in between were very interested with her unique sense of humor. She ended with I Don't Want to Be a Bride and then brought Tristen back on stage for a wonderful Janis Joplin cover. The piano and vocals were nothing short of ethereal combined with Skye Steele on the violin. Vanessa took the time to meet fans after the show! Amazing night at an awesome venue, The Birchmere!

Vanessa and her opening acts were phenomenal. She was funny and down to earth. I would definitely go to see her again.

    A personal living room concert

by Juniorsk on 12/23/15Carolina Theatre - Durham

This was a great show. There were only 139 people at the theatre but it was so worth seeing her. For those who didn't see her, it's your loss. She was really into it and gave it her all. If you like her music, go see her. For those who don't know her music, take a listen.

    Wonderful show!

by Googlyhat on 12/17/15Carolina Theatre - Durham

I was blown away by Vanessa as expected. Also her opener Josh Hyslop was incredible. So intense! I sat two rows from the stage which was such a treat. Two talented musicians!! Vanessa played a lot of new stuff and talked about what inspired her songs. I was beyond impressed. Still my favorite artist! Don't miss this tour! She is incredible live.

Vanessa is so wonderful live! She was so personable and in between songs shared parts of her life and stories about her music with the audience. It felt like it was a living room concert :). I highly recommend seeing her, especially in a smaller venue. After the concert she signed any merchandise people purchased. We spoke about our mutual love for the piano!

Vanessa Carlton plays to a sold out audience!

by Survivor39 on 12/10/15Brighton Music Hall - Boston

After spending years listening to Vanessa Carlton's songs on the radio, I finally decided to see her show at the BMH when tickets were available. She did not disappoint with live renditions of her previous hits and her new album, Liberman. The whole album is faithfully reproduced from beginning to end. The audience was obviously happy to be there showing in a sing-a-long with many of Vanessa's "older" songs. I am still excited to have finally seen Vanessa Carlton live in concert.

    Boring

by Daphne005 on 11/10/15Duck Room at Blueberry Hill - St Louis

Vanessa Carlton plays maybe two popular songs, the rest are off her album that was released about two weeks ago. When she does play a song the audience might know, she introduces it by essentially saying it is a song that made her famous but she doesn't like playing it. She doesn't seem to like being on stage and perhaps is touring to pay off expensive studio time. It was a disappointment, but maybe I had the wrong idea going in.

    A dream come true!

by AliceAyres on 7/1/11Brighton Music Hall - Boston

I've been a fan of Vanessa Carlton since my middle and high school days. I grew up with her albums, especially Be Not Nobody... she is more or less the soundtrack to my youth. I recently graduated college and this is perfect timing, seeing her live in concert as an adult. She sounded beautiful, just like she does on her albums. I had to hold back my tears during the second song. Thank you Vanessa for coming back and gracing us with your music!

To see such a great artists in a small venue was great. The venue was clean and had a very nice staff. Everyone had a view of the stage. The music over-powered the vocals during the first couple of songs but then was much better. The only diasappointment was that Vanessa didn't sing Ordinary Day or Pretty Baby.

    1000 Miles

by wanv1rus on 6/27/11Brighton Music Hall - Boston

I came all the way from NYC to watch her. The venue was pretty decent with a good stage and sound system. There were 3 bars in total. Two in the main room which you could enjoy the show at the bar and one in the back room where you can hang and shoot some pool. Vanessa was amazing. She played alot of new stuff so I was finding myself distracted by the atmosphere. The drinks are cheap ($3 PBR's) and offer a good wide selections of shelf and tap. The bartenders were gorgeous and very polite. I would recommend this venue to any artist. I got to meet Vanessa and her cute little brown pup after the show. She was in a hurry (and maybe quite frightened) so I couldnt take pictures. Very shy girl, but beautiful at her best =]

Vanessa is ready to make a come back!

by jho07 on 6/27/11Brighton Music Hall - Boston

Vanessa was awesome at Brighton City Music Hall in Boston. She not only played her old favorites from past albums but played a few of her new songs that will be featured on her next album due out in late July. It was really interesting to hear some of the stories behind her songs too. She really made you feel like she was sharing a part of her life with you making the concert very personal. She has such an amazing voice live and she is even more impressive with her piano skills. You don't want to miss seeing her play live.
