Vancouver Canucks History

The Vancouver Canucks started play in 1970, entering the league along with the Buffalo Sabres. Vancouver has been to the Stanley Cup Final on three occasions, though they lost to the New York Islanders in 1982, the New York Rangers in 1994 and the Boston Bruins in 2011.

Despite humble beginnings, the Canucks continued to develop. With the arrival of three key players—Captain Trevor Linden, netminder Kirk McLean, and "the Russian Rocket" Pavel Bure, the Canucks had a winning Playoff run season—making it to the 1994 finals.

The Canucks continued to acquire superstars like Alexander Mogilny and Markus Näslund, and while the following years meant a series of losses, it allowed for the team to draft Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who would go on to lead the Canucks to Presidents' Trophies in back-to-back seasons in 2010-11 and 2011-12, as well as their finals appearance in 2011.

    by Jame O on 11/19/21Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Our entire family had an amazing time! From age 5 to age 71!! Entertaining start to finish! Lines were short. Great food and drink options!

  • Great time

by Jamieb on 11/10/21Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

Great time, lots of fun. Seating was squished, should’ve had seating spaced out more. But felt like we went back to normal for a night

It was so easy booking our tickets. Proof of vaccination was super smooth and ticket checks were quick

Had no idea that section 104 had seat service. Bonus!

  • Visibility

    by M. C. on 11/2/21Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 2 out of 5

A tall young man sat in front of me. He wore a turban which made it extremely difficult to see the game. He was very cooperative when I talked with him but it was very little improvement. I had four tickets for the game. The other three individuals had a great experience. There was no let up with noise more like a concert than a hockey game

  • Overpriced for nosebleed section

by Oilersnation on 11/2/21Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

Paying 200 for second row from the top is a bit excessive.

  • An amazing event

by Fwego on 10/31/21Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Wow the game and the crowd were so energized and had a great time there.

  • Good time bad result

    by Canuckfan33 on 10/31/21Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

Disappointed about the loss but the experience itself was much improved. Feel like Vancouver Canucks have put a substantial effort into improving the experience in terms of food options, crowd atmosphere, and the entertainment during intermissions and getting the crowd involved during commercial breaks and during the game.

  • Not the Greatest Experience

    by CF67 on 10/31/21Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 1 out of 5

The game experience just wasn’t great. The atmosphere was boring, the people around us weee obnoxious, drunk, not wearing their masks, standing up all the time, leaning forward on the railing to talk to their friends in front of them for most of the game. The Host did all he could, probably going and talking to them no less than 40-50 times, but they just didn’t seem to care.

  • Canuck’s ganme

by TKG on 10/30/21Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 4 out of 5

The experience was great, but the game would have been even better if the Canucks had won — too bad you couldn’t guarantee that! Canucks employee Daniel was especially patient and helpful as I had difficulty accessing my digital ticket.

  • Great game

by Dakota on 9/30/21Abbotsford Centre - AbbotsfordRating: 4 out of 5

Everything about the game was great, great view, good atmosphere, polite and friendly staff. One thing I would submit to ticketmaster is please display if the seats you are buying are non alcohol seats before purchasing.

  • Training Camp Fun

by Jack on 9/27/21Abbotsford Centre - AbbotsfordRating: 4 out of 5

It was a perfect day. The price was a good deal. The Canucks played very well. You picked a perfect day to have the game. The sanitizer took too long to dry.

  • My first hockey game

by Robert Frederick on 3/11/20Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 5 out of 5

As a newcomer to Canada, this was a really great experience for me. This was the first hockey game I ever attended. I never went to one because of financial reasons.I managed to take advantage of the 50th Anniversary Canucks sale which was really helpful. The night was full of fun and did not expect it to be filled with other activities. Stadium was clean and staff were extremely helpful and nice that night. Overall, my experience was very wonderful and hopefully I will get to do it again in my lifetime in my new adopted country.

  • Amazing staff

Shout out to the gentleman who helped my boyfriends dad (who had a cast and little mobility on his crutches) He went above and beyond wonderful service. Thank you, your kindness did not go unnoticed .

  • Maybe I’m too old

by Susie on 2/11/20Rogers Arena - VancouverRating: 3 out of 5

I enjoyed the game even though the Canucks lost. I did not like the long introduction before the game. Too long, too loud and terrible music. I have not been surrounded by so many drunk people at a hockey game before. It really takes the enjoyment out of watching the game!!
