Vancouver Canucks History
The Vancouver Canucks started play in 1970, entering the league along with the Buffalo Sabres. Vancouver has been to the Stanley Cup Final on three occasions, though they lost to the New York Islanders in 1982, the New York Rangers in 1994 and the Boston Bruins in 2011.
Despite humble beginnings, the Canucks continued to develop. With the arrival of three key players—Captain Trevor Linden, netminder Kirk McLean, and "the Russian Rocket" Pavel Bure, the Canucks had a winning Playoff run season—making it to the 1994 finals.
The Canucks continued to acquire superstars like Alexander Mogilny and Markus Näslund, and while the following years meant a series of losses, it allowed for the team to draft Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who would go on to lead the Canucks to Presidents' Trophies in back-to-back seasons in 2010-11 and 2011-12, as well as their finals appearance in 2011.

Great View, Great Service, Great refreshments. A little pricey but for me it was very very worth it.
It's a spectacle, to be sure, but I found the pre-game presentation patently ridiculous - especially the Canucks as 'super-heroes' short film. The lights, the lasers, and all the other fluff were completely unnecessary. I suppose my expectation is that if I am paying to see a hockey game, then I want to see a hockey game, and not players pretending to be 'arts and entertainment' graduates. None of this adds any discernable value to the experience, and is actually quite annoying. With regards to the game itself, it was just OK. The seating in Rogers Place is great--but this was the only real saving grace. Moving forward, I'd like to see NHL teams simplify the fan experience - fan interactions are good, but all the other glitz is pointless, save for giving organizations a reason to over-charge for a 'hockey/sporting' event.
A fantastic day.priceless excelllent service. The ambiance good. The food was great. The host are very nice
My wife, a friend and I were seated in section 312, row 8, seats 1, 2, 3. The cold air was blowing so hard that all three of were chilled and got cold. My friend went to the customer service and we were given three seats in section 120, row 22, seats 1, 2, and 3. We were so happy for the change in seating arrangements. We did warm up and enjoyed the game.
Finally we got to go to our first games since 2019 after our annual games got cancelled in 2020. I was impressed with the ease of checking in with the vaccine passports. The variety of food offering was very good, though the pricing for a draft beer was somewhat shocking. The whole game experience with the pregame and intermissions was very good. But, the effort put forward by the team was disappointing! Against Calgary on Friday, they came out flat and except for the beginning of the second and a few moments of the third, Calgay dominated both ends of the rink. The Canucks have a young talented team, but they don’t have the fire in their belly to be Stanley Cup contenders. It seems to me that once the players gets their huge contracts, the level of play drops. We have players who have the talent to score 40-50 goals a season, but seem satisfied to maybe score 20-30. Until that attitude changes, we will be blessed with continued mediocrity!!
Never seen a more half hearted effort from the Canucks - first period never won one battle v Flames. Half hearted effort down 5-0 and ended up 5-2 without any real fight back Looked like a team that gave up on making the playoffs
I win my game!!!!!! Super Night!!! Go Canucks Go!!!!
I live here in beautiful Avola British Columbia which is a six hour drive to Vancouver and seeing our Canucks win or lose it’s always been with me since I was a child. Games and seeing new players are always fun. Great times as usual
Skytrain was great, very near of the arena Popcorn was not too expensive Good hockey game The best team win
was able to see one of the craziest hockey games, all made very easy with ticketmaster
It’s always fun when the Canucks dominate the other team. When Calgary was coming off the 10 game win streak I did not have a lot of hope for the Canucks but they were unstoppable. Players showed up and the seats I had were amazing. Easily one of, if not the funnest game I have ever been to.
Exciting atmosphere with Canucks facing their rivals the number 1 Pacific division Calgary Flames with previous teammates Markstrom, Tanev and Toffoli ! Period one the Flames came out on fire and had our Canucks on their heels. But the Canucks righted the ship mid period and they ended period one 0-0. Demko was brilliant throughout the entire game. Deserved to get a shut out! Periods two and three were all Canucks offence with beautiful Passing, shooting abd retrieval of rebounds. Their heavy checking to maintain control of the puck pressured the Flames into making numerous penalties giving the Canucks a chance to right their struggling power play which worked! . A 7-1 win for our home team delighted the crowd and silenced the many Flames fans attending. Canucks played their best level. What a treat to watch and enjoy! Well done boys!🙌🙌🙌
I enjoyed myself. I had an awesome seat. As I don’t get to many games in BC (as I am from Ontario) and I like my seat immensely
Experience was very good, Canucks just didn't show up to play... that was disappointing.
The entertainment was great but the canucks performance was poor. Barely attend games because cant afford to. Was really hoping for a win, but still had fun.
Come early to the game!!! Due to vaccine checking I just got to my seat for the anthems. Very long lines to get vaccine status checked. I rarely get to a hockey game in Vancouver and got a ticket 3 seats away from the Canucks bench and loved it!
Only drawback was TM online payment system refused my UK-based Mastercard and I had to use a friend's debit card. Just a tad annoying.
Being French, Hockey is not really our national sport... so I am kind of a rookie in the department. However, the game was amazing and the athmosphere incredible ! The Canucks fans were really cool and I was glad to witness a win ! First but definitely not my last hockey experience.
just not sure why the seating is so small and uncomfortable... its just not worth trying to sit through an event when the seats are so bad
What a lovely family outing to watch a great sporting event
