Vancouver Canucks History
The Vancouver Canucks started play in 1970, entering the league along with the Buffalo Sabres. Vancouver has been to the Stanley Cup Final on three occasions, though they lost to the New York Islanders in 1982, the New York Rangers in 1994 and the Boston Bruins in 2011.
Despite humble beginnings, the Canucks continued to develop. With the arrival of three key players—Captain Trevor Linden, netminder Kirk McLean, and "the Russian Rocket" Pavel Bure, the Canucks had a winning Playoff run season—making it to the 1994 finals.
The Canucks continued to acquire superstars like Alexander Mogilny and Markus Näslund, and while the following years meant a series of losses, it allowed for the team to draft Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who would go on to lead the Canucks to Presidents' Trophies in back-to-back seasons in 2010-11 and 2011-12, as well as their finals appearance in 2011.

The Vancouver Canucks play their home games at the 475,000-square foot Rogers Arena(Opens in new tab), which also played host to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games where Sidney Crosby scored the “Golden Goal.” A staple of downtown Vancouver, the Canucks played their first game at the arena on October 9, 1995. Other notable events that have taken place at the arena include the 1998 NHL All-Star Game, 2019 NHL Entry Draft, and in October 2002 when Queen Elizabeth II dropped the ceremonial first puck during an NHL exhibition game between the Canucks and San Jose Sharks.

The game itself was awesome. I just wasn't happy about the seating. When I chose my ticket, I chose it thinking it was an aisle seat, because that's what it looked like on the map you guys have on your website. It wasn't an aisle seat. I was stuck between an old man and a father and his son. So, update your map or something, I don't want something like that to happen again. Thanks
I had never been to a hockey game. I took my husband to this game as a surprise for his birthday. It was actually more fun than I thought it would be. We are looking forward to coming back. The Canadians are such nice people. Very helpful very easy to communicate with. And glad that you are there to enjoy yourself.
Close scores throughout- both great teams. We aren't from Canada so this was a great first time for Hockey Night in Canada. Game went into overtime and the Canucks won at shoot out. Great food and beer, great crowd. Plan on returning next year for another game.
Arena was clean, people friendly, nice central area. Hockey game was well played.
I wanted my family to experience live NHL hockey since all they are exposed to is live WHL. Since Seattle doesn't have an NHL team, Vancouver was the closest I could get. The Canucks did not disappoint my Canadiens fan, my Maple Leafs fan, or my Penguins fan. Thanks Vancouver! You're my team until Seattle gets NHL.
While our team, the Minnesota Wild, lost, it was a very fun and enjoyable game! As always, Vancouver, Rogers Arena and the Canucks were Great Hosts! Wonderful Time!
The game was awesome! The venue was clean and had plenty of vendors to chose from. Overall great game! I would definitely be back!
it was a great game that I had the pleasure of sharing with my son and grandson, the hotel was very nice and walking distance. We look forward to going every year. we had a really good time. my team lost .
The Canucks didn't win, but we had a fun time at the game, enjoying it thoroughly.
A great location to see the game from, 11 rows up from the goalie's net. I could see all the plays up close and the reactions on the players' faces as they played.
Really had a good time at this event. Sight lines were good, seats are a little small by today's standards.
The fast paced action and the amazing crowd really made my first ice hockey game an event to remember and cherish. I'm hooked
Though I was and still am fighting a terrible cold, it was worth it. The seats were awesome! Watching Henrik Sedin make his 200th goal was fabulous. Two empty net goals. Watching the Miller brothers play against each other, loved, loved the game.
The only downfall is the price. Otherwise it was an awesome family outing!

We sing the Star Spangled Banner and Oh Canada . . . loudly. We shoot, we score! We shoot, we score! They shoot and score three times. We lose. Must find beer.
Was overall happy with the event and the facility. Just one little draw back. I was sitting in section 102 and the section is split in half for some strange reason. One side is non alcoholic and the other side is alcohol permitted. Now this would have been fine except I was told I couldn't consume alcohol so being a rule follower I drank during intermissions. This would have been OK except I look around me seeing 20other people in the same section not getting hasseled about their beer. I little annoying.
Great event. Better than a game. More affordable. For charity. Lots of giveaways. Only issue I had was ignorant people sitting in our seats that WOULD NOT MOVE.
What's great time. Had a blast. A great event for family's, individuals and couples. Lots of entertainment and plus all the money is going to a great cause. A must see.
I took family which included 2 nephews, ages 3 & 8, whom had never been to such an event. They had such a great time, as did my brother, my sis and her hubby and friends. They were all new to the event and already looking forward to next year's event. I have been several years now and enjoy every moment watching the event and the players with their kids all just having fun. It's a fantastic family event and its supports a wonderful cause. Thank you Canucks!!!
