Vancouver Canucks History
The Vancouver Canucks started play in 1970, entering the league along with the Buffalo Sabres. Vancouver has been to the Stanley Cup Final on three occasions, though they lost to the New York Islanders in 1982, the New York Rangers in 1994 and the Boston Bruins in 2011.
Despite humble beginnings, the Canucks continued to develop. With the arrival of three key players—Captain Trevor Linden, netminder Kirk McLean, and "the Russian Rocket" Pavel Bure, the Canucks had a winning Playoff run season—making it to the 1994 finals.
The Canucks continued to acquire superstars like Alexander Mogilny and Markus Näslund, and while the following years meant a series of losses, it allowed for the team to draft Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who would go on to lead the Canucks to Presidents' Trophies in back-to-back seasons in 2010-11 and 2011-12, as well as their finals appearance in 2011.

The Vancouver Canucks play their home games at the 475,000-square foot Rogers Arena(Opens in new tab), which also played host to the 2010 Winter Olympic Games where Sidney Crosby scored the “Golden Goal.” A staple of downtown Vancouver, the Canucks played their first game at the arena on October 9, 1995. Other notable events that have taken place at the arena include the 1998 NHL All-Star Game, 2019 NHL Entry Draft, and in October 2002 when Queen Elizabeth II dropped the ceremonial first puck during an NHL exhibition game between the Canucks and San Jose Sharks.

Great time! Really enjoyed the atmosphere around the arena. I wasn't harassed at all as a Kings fan! I just wish the group who was sitting in the same row as me would have not gotten up from the seats constantly throughout the game. Otherwise, great time!

Right from the beginning during my wait in line I encountered so many nice people. The security staff was very friendly and efficient. The venue was easy to get into and to my section. The restrooms were very clean. The food service staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was great. The seating staff were friendly. All the fans, both Vancouver and Philadelphia, were nice and friendly. Of course there was some friendly chiding since I'm a Flyers fan and was wearing their jersey. Rogers Arena was fantastic. The seating was very comfortable. There was plenty of leg room for sitting, but It was a little tight if you have to walk in front of someone sitting. The video scoreboard is top quality. The sound perfect. Great music. Of course the game was the best part! Well played and exciting. The intermission activities were fun. I will definitely be back. Thank you!
Seats were not cheap but it was a great game. Canuck fans lover their team, many were dressed in team jerseys...which looked great. Our seats were in the upper section but view was great. We could see all the action. A well played, defensive match. The Canucks goalkeeper had a great game. Vancouver led 1-0 after scoring on a long slap shot late in the first period. Then there was a crazy ending. Calgary scored the tying goal off of a deflection with 6 seconds left, right after Vancouver had killed off another Calgary powerplay. Overtime started (only 4 v 4 on the ice) and the Canucks scored about 30 seconds in for an exciting 2-1 shoot out win.
I love watching hockey, mainly when I'm sitting at the game! and on the glass. The game was fun, the seat is what I call the best worst seat in the house. It's behind the net. Your view of the game isn't great (quite often), but, you are right there! You can almost feel the players on the other side. You actually feel like you are a part of the game, not just watching it. The stadium employees do a great job of entertaining you while keeping you safe. If you ever get the chance,,,, sit on the glass at least once!
Rogers Arena is great for viewing hockey. The game, unfortunately, was sub-par, but that happens. But the horribly loud sound system, with constant, REALLY bad "music" was totally annoying. Maybe because the game was so dull, they thought we'd like an amateur rap concert instead? Also, TV timeouts detract from live games. Can we dispense with them, please?
This was my first hocky game and it won't be my last. I loved every Moment of it. Great food n great game
I prefer watching WHL games considering where I live and of course how much NHL tickets are. We attended the Chicago Blackhawks at Vancouver Canucks and everything was awesome. Our seats were great, the food/drink prices were cheaper than prices in Portland, OR. The fans around us were great and fun.
I LOVE going to the Canucks games (mostly for the other team, sorry!). It's a wonderful arena with great employees. It's easy to get into. Plenty of parking, hotels and eats around it. This seat was not my favorite because the pole that holds up a camera is right there at your knee. BUT! It was still on the glass and that was a tough seat to find. I'd go again in a heartbeat!!!

For the season home opener it was a very exciting match up. Overtime shootout with the home team winning cannot ask for better. Only downside were the seats. Far too expensive for standing seats where the view was less than great.
Went in with little expectations but came out with a big smile on my face, it was nice to meet and great some Canucks. Going into the dressing room was a neat experience as well and all these for $5 and what's even better is the food was affordable this time around. I hope the Canucks can do this every year, well not having a crappy year that is.
We are Blackhawks fans. There were a lot of other Blackhawks fans there, too. The Canucks fans were cordial and friendly. Rogers Arena is a nice venue to watch a game at.
An ad hoc once a year trip north, I live in Seattle, to see an NHL game with friends, one of whom I have known for over 60 years. The only reason for four stars instead of five is that this year Ticketmaster didn't allow for printing of the tickets until 48 hours before the event instead of immediately upon payment.
I received these tickets as aChristmas gift! It was friggin awesome!!!! I got to see my two favourite teams play each other in a amazing game. The whole experience was absolutely incredible and way better than I ever expected. We are hooked and want season tickets! If you never seen a pro Hockey game your really missing out!
Originally from Minnesota and travelled to Vancouver for game. Go Wild! Arena seating was weird if you ask me, but after the second host helped us get to the right seats we really enjoyed the game. Especially since the Wild won.
we sat in section 102 row 21. Seats were great for watching the visitors shoot twice on the goal closest to the seats. Highly recommend going to a game. Other fans were very nice to us, even though we were wearing gear from the opposing team.
We are not Canuck fans or Flames fans, but wanted the Flames to win. Fans were great, no problems cheering on the Flames. Seats were very good, but in the middle of a long row and the net/glass was at eye level.
The game was amazing! The fans were polite and kind. The game it self was great. Yes we lose 4-1 but that one goal made the hole night, feeling the air horn around the staduim, feeling the energy of the crowd reacting to that goal was awesome. Over all a great experience. Hope to attend a another game soon. Go Canunks!
