Vancouver Canucks History
The Vancouver Canucks started play in 1970, entering the league along with the Buffalo Sabres. Vancouver has been to the Stanley Cup Final on three occasions, though they lost to the New York Islanders in 1982, the New York Rangers in 1994 and the Boston Bruins in 2011.
Despite humble beginnings, the Canucks continued to develop. With the arrival of three key players—Captain Trevor Linden, netminder Kirk McLean, and "the Russian Rocket" Pavel Bure, the Canucks had a winning Playoff run season—making it to the 1994 finals.
The Canucks continued to acquire superstars like Alexander Mogilny and Markus Näslund, and while the following years meant a series of losses, it allowed for the team to draft Henrik and Daniel Sedin, who would go on to lead the Canucks to Presidents' Trophies in back-to-back seasons in 2010-11 and 2011-12, as well as their finals appearance in 2011.

I have been to many NHL games from Toronto to Anaheim but primarily Vancouver and have seen a ton of different teams. My daughter plays hockey 🏒 and she is a Habs fan. The game on Tuesday was one of the most entertaining and exciting hockey we have seen. Carey Price is a king! I found the crowd 50/50 but all had fun and the concession and washrooms were never ridiculously crowded or pushy. Best time ever! 🏒😊
For such a beautiful arena, the amenities in the upper bowl are horrendous. Not enough washrooms, severely congested concourse. Long lines for everything. I’ve been to 21/31 NHL arenas, this is among the worst. Great game though!
I saw an amazing game on Saturday night. Extremely entertaining with a great atmosphere. Both teams played a hard fought game that went into overtime. This game helped me realize how much I miss going to watch games live. The people I met are so friendly and made my experience the best I’ve had in a long time. I hope everyone had a great time as I did and the young man battling cancer got to forget about his struggles for awhile and enjoy what life may bring him. I love that our community is so supportive for those of us that struggle and need a break from time to time. ❤️
The Canucks lost but overall experience was excellent
First of all the Canucks are on fire right now, and even though they lost the game I went to, it was one of the best hockey games I have ever gone to. Rogers Arena was great! The food and drinks were top notch! There are free phone charging stations that lock! How cool! The staff were also all very friendly. Can’t wait to come back!
Everything was amazing starting right from the ticket sales! The efficiency of the staff, the 1st and 2nd intermission events; mini hockey game and Bridgestone Tire Roll challenge, all the way to our amazing 2nd row seats! We will definitely hit up Ticket Master to attend another fabulous game at Rogers Arena! Go canucks!!
We arrived early to get a front row seat for the warm ups. At the end of the warmups Dylan Larkin skated over to take a selfie with the kids and then tossed them a puck. It couldn’t have worked out better.
Game was awesome service was awesome Canucks were awesome but stay away from the heat lamp Poutine at Crisp they live up to their name Crisp for leaving poutine under the heat lamp and baked to the box.
First time since 92 I’ve been to a hockey game and this one didn’t disappoint!
From start to finish the Event was beyond compare and the Captaincy announcement plus the win were icing on tge cake!
I love this experience! My first time in Vancouver! And my first play of hockey! I appreciate very much! The arena is fantastic!
The seats were amazing. I dont think there is a bad spot. Food was pricey. 5 bucks for a bag of peanuts. Fan interaction was good. Great hockey game. Loud building
The atmosphere , the place, the crowd and Elias Pettersson were amazing
I enjoyed the Vancouver Canucks Hockey game even though it's a pre Season game
When I purchased my tickets, I was never told that I was unable to drink beer at my seat or I would have never purchased these tickets. Ruined my whole night.
No parking, line ups around the building, 30 minute waits for food... spent more time trying to park and eat than watching the game. Very disappointed in how poorly prepared the Centre was.
With the arena being smaller you could really hear all the communication between all the players and that’s what I love about the game.
Great Venue for pro hockey. Great Game. Great players for a preseason game. Seating in the section I was in was hard to access and people were getting mad at the constant getting up. Concession was not big enough for all these people. Tickmaster was a seamless way to purchase tickets as usual!
The game was good. The drinks at the game are pricy but otherwise i think that everything you buy there is pricy.
