Great potential. Needs better advertising, brand affiliates and marketing…
There were only four concession stands operating for approximately 35,000 people? It’s the same problem with legion field, no drinks no food.Game was great it was really entertaining And a good product and league
The crowd was very into the game and the players were a lot better than I thought they would be great experience.
The setting felt much more personal than a typical professional football game. There were workers who many times interacted with the crowd to raise the energy in the stadium. Players were amazingly interactive with the crowd before and after the game. Overall, a great and truly American football experience. Started out with a bang with one of the most beautiful national anthem displays I have ever had the priviledge of witnessing. Ended with a bang with quite the fireworks show. Would absolutely recommend for any fan of football.
Great stadium. Great start of a new football league.
We had a great time as a family. I would recommend eating before, food lines are super long; took us an hour to get food.
I was injured at work I wanted to go so bad but was not able to. I'm feeling much better now so I should be there this coming weekend to cheer my Stallion's all the way.
I thought concessions should have more people working and they navigated us in an odd manner to the stallions side of the field. but other than that, it was good and we will come back
Great game and atmosphere. Was expecting more from the club level seating which were none. Plus anyone was allowed in the club area just not the inside which made the money spent on the seats worthless. Overall will be attending the next game
My son and I were excited for professional football in our backyard in the spring! The game was exciting from start to finish. The players were professional and courteous and interacted with the fans as much as possible during pregame warmups etc. The announcers, the hype, and Jermaine Johnson were on point! There were just a few things I think the city and venue could work to improve. Parking signage and/or traffic control and direction seemed to be non existent. I saw many police officers just kinda there…. I’m sure they had a mission but it clearly wasn’t to direct traffic or direct folks toward parking etc. Inside the stadium was great except that there appeared to be only 1 spot for merchandise, at least on our side of the stadium. There was a massive mob kinda just rushing the poor folks trying to keep items from walking away. I’m sure there was plenty that was stolen…. But the folks were pleasant and helpful. Lastly the food options were limited. I noticed there were multiple outlets that were closed. Which resulted in extremely long lines and wait times for food. We ended up eating in the 4th quarter and had 1 option for food more than just fries…. All in all we had a great time and will definitely go back. I just hope the venue and city support functions are slightly better prepared/organized.
Stadium was great but the seating situation was a bit weird with only General Admission/Premium General Admission. We paid for the Premium tickets but it didn't really look like that was enforced and we could've bought the regular tickets and still sat in the Premium section. Disappointed that the game wasn't more exciting with neither Coach utilizing the 2 & 3 point plays. If it's going to having staying power it'll need to be more fast-paced.
I highly recommend going to the USFL games. It was electric and nearly NFL like!
It was a great priced ticket and well played game but we arrived 2 hours early and we were not allowed to sit on the home feild side.
Back and forth kept the crowd engaged, No lulls or drag in the game. And the ending was worthy of an NFL ending.
Ticket prices were beyond reasonable! Truly a family-friendly event for those unwilling or unable to pay top $$$ for an evening of grown men running around in short pants. The football was better than expected! It is easy to get in and get out of Protective Stadium. The seating is comfortable. There is not a bad seat in the place. The lines to the concessions were too long! Not enough concessions were open to serve the hungry and thirsty Stallions' and Generals' fans. That said, the concessions were reasonably priced compared to other professional and D-1 arenas and stadiums--another family-friendly benefit of the USFL. The marching band that played at the beginning of the game was excellent. USFL sold out a lot of its merchandise. The rest of us will need to go online to get the gear--no big deal. The annoying drone buzzing around the field and over our heads provided some interesting video and, after awhile, became part of the scenery. The six members of our family enjoyed the evening of fun and good football! When in BHM, I recommend a USFL game for a relaxing time with family and friends--and you won't break the bank doing so!
Had a wonderful time at the game. The fans were, well, fantastic. The game was competitive and well played, especially for a first game ever after only three weeks of practice. Definitely plan to go back.
Game experience included high level football and all the extras that make for a good fan experience including the drone cam. Fans were excited and even brought back the wave. Players showed lots of enthusiasm. The flyover, the fireworks, the football and the fun.
We purchase club tickets and we're impressed at how fast we were processed into the event. However, upon entering the event the organization shifted quickly and chaos ensued. The concessions were not managed appropriately and the lines were forming through standard crowd areas. This caused major chaos and prevented us from being able to navigate to our seats with ease. The lines were at least an hour long for a simple drink. They had concession stands opened in public areas that should have been for walkway only. Then you walk to the side of the stadiums where the bathrooms are, there where there were no less than 16 to 18 vending bays designated for concessions, all of which were closed. This caused major confusion frustration and it was bad organization on the events planning committee. That was the only negative thing to mention. The event itself was exciting, well run, and full of surprises at every turn. The energy of the crowd was intoxicating and truly a much talked about event the next day. The stadium was impressive and certain full of grandeur. I was excited to be able to attend the first USFL event for the great city of Birmingham Alabama. I look forward to many more. Management really does need to attend to the concessions. Something that simple can run the event for all who attend.Great job USFL organization!
Everything was good. Seating and entrance went smoothly. Great crowd. The only complaint was the concession lines.
