Great event, great rugby, terrible concessions

by Goeaglesgo on 6/13/17Red Bull Arena - Harrison

The game was awesome, even though the USA lost, top rugby is always amazing to see in person. One thing that stuck out was the long lines for food and beer. You would often wait between 10-20 minutes with only about 5 people in line. My wife waited 10 minutes for beer when only two people were in front of her. If this was any other football, rugby, or hockey stadium, the vendors would be able to fill orders in a quick manner no problem. It is also interesting to note that the beer was mostly cans, so I'm still not sure what caused all the delays. The waits continued even past the busy times, beginning of game and halftime, and I found myself missing 15 minutes of the game due to lines. I don't think red-bull stadium is used to that many fans who wish to enjoy a game with a pint...

    Awesome experience!!

by Hambonator74 on 6/13/17Red Bull Arena - Harrison

This was my first professional match. My family and I traveled up from Georgia. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and the people of New Jersey!

Red Bull Arena was ill prepared

by Scud123 on 6/13/17Red Bull Arena - Harrison

The game was awesome and the size of the arena essentially makes all seats "good" seats. However, as it was my first time at an event at Red Bull Arena I'm not sure if they are always as ill prepared or if this was a special event --- some of the food/drink places were out of beer BEFORE THE GAME STARTED! Yeah, before the National Anthem! That trend continued with more and more running out of beer throughout the match. It was not a max capacity crowd - it was clear they just lacked proper preparation for the event, it was a touch ridiculous.

    Great time

by Anonymous on 6/13/17Red Bull Arena - Harrison

I think it was awesome that there was international rugby this close to where I live. I think having Yuengling as a selection was a good choice. Bring more rugby to this arena! put port-a-potty's in the VIP parking area.

    International Rugby

by jcon1917 on 6/13/17Red Bull Arena - Harrison

If you have never seen international/professional rugby played then it should be on the bucket list. These are often NFL sized athletes, who with no pads, bang each other and run as much as professional soccer players do. The ball movement and passing skills make this non-stop game (no timeouts) an incredible experience.

Nice venue, bad result for Team USA

by jptrugger on 6/13/17Red Bull Arena - Harrison

Ireland was firing on all cylinders and Team USA looked like they needed improvement, as always.

    Go USA Eagles!

by Anonymous on 2/7/17Toyota Field - San Antonio

Fantastic game and atmosphere in a cold, wintery San Antonio. USA Eagles and Uruguay played a fabulous game at a delightful Toyota Field venue. Pity more folks didn't come out to support our national side.

Great game! Besides it being a very close and well matched game, the USA players added an extra bonus by coming around and thanking the fans that remained in the stands post game. In addition, they spent an extended amount of time with our group/section talking to the fans, taking photos, and just simply interacting with everyone. What other sport are you going to get this from the players! Cudos to USA RUGBY TEAM!

Eagles Rugby in San Antonio was awesome!

by Shayne101 on 2/7/17Toyota Field - San Antonio

Screaming Eagle fan seats were amazing. Right on the 50 meter line, could see the entire field perfectly. Weather held off nicely and the game was spectactular as it was hard hitting and faced paced and the score went back and forth and came down to the final seconds, when Uruguay was knocking on the try line with just seconds to spare, but then committed a penalty and it was over. Brought some friends who had never seen rugby before, and they are now hooked and have purchased tickets to go see it in RoundRock. My only complaint would be the concession lines were too long and too slow. My brother went to get a beer and was gone for over 35 minutes just standing in line. They had other concession places, but they weren't open. Just one small one on the East Side of the stadium where we were sitting. Not sure about the other side. And did not see any programs for sale. Shayne

    USA Rugby

by HonduSGT on 2/7/17Toyota Field - San Antonio

I had been interested in catching a Rugby game and glad they made it to my area. The overall action was fun and way more action than soccer. After the match the players came around and took pictures which was nice to see athletes do that. My only complaint was that not enough concession stands were open. Took me over 30 minutes to get a pretzel and beer. One or two more concession stands open would have help greatly. I look forward to attend another Rugby match.

Awful stadium experience but game was great

by Delal on 2/7/17Toyota Field - San Antonio

The parking for this venue was a nightmare. We arrived well before the game but were forced into a line that went all the way around the stadium to end up across the street. This took over 45 minutes because only one person was taking money for parking. We had to pass multiple lots with spots open but no exceptions, everyone had to wait in this ridiculous line. We had great seats but the stairs next to us were a death trap. No less than 8 people slipped or fell and there was only a slight drizzle. Made the mistake of going to the snack bar 10 minutes before halftime and finally got back to seats over 10 minutes into the second half. Understaffed and very slow people working the snack bar. I've been through lines three times as long in less time. Before you think it was just a crowded game, there were way more empty seats than filled. Poor attendance. I love watching the Eagles play but this experience was bad.

Although we lost, the game was GREAT!

by Elementnoir on 11/14/16TOYOTA PARK - Bridgeview

This was a great game in a great city! The venue was a little older, but I had purchased really wonderful seats and because of the size of the venue, there didn't seem to be a bad seat in the house! I would suggest that in the future, sending out-of-towners some tips to travel to and from the venue would be really helpful. The venue was not near any public transportation sites and trying to get an Uber/Taxi at the same time as 18,000 other people proved extremely difficult.

Getting to the game was a nightmare, very poor transport connections and heavy traffic. As a devoted rugby follower this was not cool to come to Chicago and not have the event better organized. Not great value for money and as the event was half of the weekend of rugby, overall disappointing. Toyota park is underwhelming and too isolated for such an event.

    Eagles vs Maori

by QCCoach on 11/9/16TOYOTA PARK - Bridgeview

The match was enjoyable to watch. The New Zealand sides are very well skilled and very well coached. The Eagles need to play more together at this level to be able to compete. They were slow to the breakdown and had poor ball handling skills. Overall, the game was well worth the price of the ticket.

    Great except for the match.

by TedleyS on 11/9/16TOYOTA PARK - Bridgeview

Great venue and a great idea. That is, to have the U.S. play some one more on their level the Friday before a premier event. However The U.S. needs to show up and play. Rather disappointed in our boys. Could it be coaching?

    Maori AB's came to play!

by Oleeyes on 11/9/16TOYOTA PARK - Bridgeview

The US never stood a chance, Maori All Blacks would not let up. The game was excellent. And the stadium was the perfect size.
