    Senior Day at UMass

by Abelito on 11/15/10Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium - Amherst

UMass went down to defeat even though they put 27 points on the board and had a lot of success. Nevertheless the Fighting Blue hens (what is a blue hen anyway?) prevailed. Good seats, a beautiful day, seniors were honored. The only thing lacking was an upset victory.

    UMass Band Day was Great!

by tmahaney on 11/8/10Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium - Amherst

The UMass football game vs Maine was excellent. The Minuteman played a great game and bested a talented rival team from Maine. Even better was the "UMass Band Day" event that took place at the same time. Over sixty high school marching bands from all over the Northeast took place in a fantastic half-time show, lead by the award winning UMass Marching Band. The performing arts are alive and well at UMass!

    Master Tail Gaters

by AngreeBowler on 11/8/10Warren McGuirk Alumni Stadium - Amherst

The event was great, we enjoyed the game and had lots of fun tail- gating. We are very fortunate to have such a high level of pure athletic competition in our back yard. Wish I could attend more.

I do hope it is an annual event. The pre-game at "UNH headquarters" was well attended and well worth attending! I was amazed that a record was broken for Colonial conference games, but I am not surprised. Somehow we ended up in the UMASS section, but we had not difficulty finding a corner with two chairs immediately outside of the lounge.... Perhaps the cops thought we were handicapped! If it is the same event and location, we're sure to be back next year.

Awsome. Tailgating was excellent, except that none was allowed after the game. Can't wait for next year -- how about a college game every year?!

Great venue to watch my son play for his college team. Clean, comfortable, lots of choices for food, entertainment before the game even started. Was a bit irritated by the large number of stairs that my father was required to climb to get his "will call" ticket (it was too crowded to get to the elevator and the location of the elevator was not convenient). Also disappointed to see that beer was being served, as one of the main reasons that I prefer college sports events over professional ones is that there is no beer is served. Traffic into the stadium was also horrendous.

Colonial clash was a big hit.

    by prouddad44 on 10/27/10Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

Terrific time. Great parking lot management by staff. a very pleasant experience of which I worried about due to college aged students tailgating too heavily. I took my wife and two sons, ages 12 and 4.

    Go Cats!

by Anonymous on 10/27/10Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

I LOVED this event. The UNH v UMASS game is always a big game and the gillette setting was perfect! A large group of us went to this game and had a blast. Since both UNH and UMASS campuses are far for some people to travel to, the foxboro location was perfect for getting together because of its convenience to boston. Just as much fun as homecoming!

    Colonial Clash of Titans

by CobraLaw on 10/26/10Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

An excellent football game in a truly beautiful stadium! When I heard the name for the event, I recognized it immediately for what it would be, and it turned out to be even better than expected. While I am a New Hampshire fan, the UMass fans were very friendly, and almost universally everyone hoped that it becomes an annual event. The crowd was larger than I thought it would be, and the acoustics of Gillette Stadium made it sound like a much larger crowd. My wife and I are looking forward to attending again next year.

    It was Wonderful

by Gimper on 10/26/10Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

I think it was great that college football was being played at Gillette Stadium especially for such a rival game. I think it should be played there every year so it is on neutral grounds.

GREAT EVENT. THE WEATHER WAS WONDERFUL AND EVERYONE WAS TAILGATEING AND ENJOYING THEMSELVES. GREAT VALUE TOO. THERE WERE MANY FAMILIES THERE BECAUSE THE COST WAS REASONABLE AND THE FREE PARKING WAS AN ADDED INCENTIVE. GETTING INTO AND OUT OF THE PARKING AREAS WAS EASIER THAN I EXPECTED. OVERALL GREAT DAY! CAN'T WAIT FOR NEXT YEAR.

Colonial Clash--great game & great seats!

by LisaTim on 10/25/10Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

The stadium, food, comfort of seats, and position of seating were great! It was a very enjoyable time until it was time to leave. Trying to leave the stadium parking lot and leaving the area around the stadium was terribly unorganized (lights & police not directing traffic well.) Because of the disorganization or lack of organization around the traffic problem in the parking lot and around the stadium, I'm not sure we will be attending another event at Gillette Stadium.

    umass/unh

    by harrychan3 on 10/25/10Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

UMass showed its futility on offense,no kicker and too many turnovers.UNH showed a stonger passing game and the defensive ends wern't slowed down when it counted.

    Great Venue for College Rivalry!

by Bryann on 10/25/10Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

Watching UMass (my team) play their rival UNH at Gillette Staduim was great. I am a huge Pat's fan but have yet to experience this wonderful stadium. The only complaint would be the drinking, which I assume was the cause of the fight I winessed in the end zone seats and the rude behavior of many spectators. I have been to many games at UMass McGuirk Stadium and have not experienced this type of behavior. I am not talking about students/young adults either. I also would like to comment on the UMass Marching Band. Their performance was incredible and made their late director, George Parks, an instant legend to the thousands who did not have the opportunity to meet him.

    Colonial Clash

by Winddummy on 10/25/10Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

Very nice event enjoyed mostly... Not a big fan of scrapping against rowdy, unwashed college kids but all in all not to bad. security was busy but professional. Traffic was tolerable and would try this again. If I didn't have a family member involved I would have not gone.

    Colonial Clash

by Anonymous on 10/25/10Gillette Stadium - Foxborough

This was an amazing day!!! The tailgating action was awesome. SO glad that they did not charge for parking...which really made this a family event. Even thought UMASS played a terrible game, a good time was had by all. Loved seeing so many diverse age groups at this event. Bob Kraft is a genious!!!! Already getting psyched for next year. GO UMASS!
