but, the opening band, can’t tell you the name, although good band, the sound was so loud and distorted that you couldn’t hear the words being sung and is was a mishmash of noise!!! I actually need to download that music to see if I would invest in a purchase! Now, UFO was excellent sound was perfect and since it was my first time seeing them (longtime fan) the venue at the Rialto was perfect! Not a bad seat in the house, beautiful place, though not extremely comfortable and lack of leg room.
The venue was crowdEd requiring more service staff especially at the beverage centers. Sound was distorted and extremely overwhelming to the point that words and music were difficult to understand or recognize.
Phil Mogg can still bring it, great voice and intensity after 50 years. They played mostly all the hits, and the lead guitarist was at the top of his game. Definitely worth the price of admission and a great walk down memory lane!
Vocals could of been little louder and Instruments sound could’ve been softer.
I really enjoyed being taken back to when music was great!
Seen UFO live in Toronto, at the Arcadia in St. Charles, Chicago Theater and now the Rialto in Joliet...all good places to see a show. UFO has never disappointed, they brought a professional, quality show every time. Don't mean to disrespect the band, but my admiration goes out to Phil Mogg...wow 71 and still hitting those high notes, enjoy your retirement. My wife and I had the pleasure of meeting Phil at breakfast after the Arcadia show a few years back and he couldn't have been nicer to us. Hope the band continues on, I think they will as all are musicians of the highest order. The show in Joliet rocked...see them soon if possible, I think the chances are becoming scarce. I bought an import with "Boogie for George" on it probably 45 years ago; secretly hoped they played it at one of the shows.
Have not seen them in a long time and it was great . Thank you.
The opening act Damon Johnson was a really good opening act & sounded good. UFO hit the stage & tore it up for 1-1/2 hours. They played all of their big hits & I thought they sounded as good as they did when I saw them over 40 years ago. Vinnie Moore killed it on lead guitar & Phil Moog was spot on with his vocals. Glad I went to see them on this farewell tour.
Very classy venue with great seating and the band was fantastic!!
very friendly staff, not a bad seat in the house, overall fun evening, beautiful atmosphere
good show, brought back a lot of good memories. Phil and the band were in top form.
Fantastic show by the mighty UFO. After 50 years I’m amazed at their stamina and ass-kicking rock. Played all of the favorites and the crowd seemed very pleased. Saw them the first time in March 1980 at the Chicago International Amphitheatre. Still spectacular. The venue was very nice, except the bathroom lines (guess it’s to be expected with a historic venue). Thank you UFO for the great performance!!!!
What a great night with a great band, thank you for rocking at the Rialto in Joliet. Wow 😀
great concert Phil still has the voice of UFO.had front ROW right in the middle so close could see guitar strings vibrated EXCELLENT
The Rialto is unbelievable venue, I've never been there before. UFO was awesome, glad I got to see the last orders tour. Seats & sound was amazing!!! They need more bathrooms....long wait....
UFO put on a great show in Joliet on 2/15/20. Sounded great and had huge energy. The lead guitar player killed it. Played most of the big songs from back in the 70's. I'd go see them again any time. Fantastic show.
Fantastic show, played my favorites (most of Strangers set list)...40+ years since i last saw them and they did not disappoint. So happy to see them again before Phil Mogg calls it quits, and then there really will be no more UFO.
I love the Rialto and both bands were fabulous! Wish I could see them again.
UFO's (probable) swan song was a don't-miss experience and they were better than hoped for! The Rialto is always a class experience - beautiful venue, easy and affordable parking, efficient and courteous staff. They could use to add a bar station or two, that's probably the biggest issue at well sold concerts like this one: a 25 minute wait in line for beverages was making some of the crowd a bit surly.
