UConn Huskies Women’s Basketball at Harry A. Gampel Pavilion and the XL Center
The Huskies split their home games between the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion in Storrs, Connecticut, and the larger XL Center in Hartford. Gampel Pavilion opened in 1990 and seats more than 10,000 fans, while the XL Center, formerly the Hartford Civic Center, opened in 1975 and has a capacity of nearly 16,000 for basketball games. Home games feature a boisterous student section and the charming Big Red tradition.

First half exciting to see a team actuallly compete against our #1...also good experience for our players for future games ....Second half our women got it together and blew another team away...UCONN WOMEN #1!!
Great game but I don't think the venue was prepared for the food service needs of a 5:30 pm game-- by the time I wanted to purchase concessions in the 2nd half, there were no hot dogs, no pizza and no pretzels. But the main event was a huge success : #1 beating out #2 - doesn't get any better!
This is truly one of the best TEAMS that uconn has had...all should see this remarkable, talented group of young women!!!You wont be disappointed
There is nothing like being there and watching in person. The atmosphere is electrifiring. The crowd was so into it and loud I think we scared Janel Appel into missing most of her free throws.
I saw the UConn women beat Stanford, 80-68. It was an awesome game, especially when UConn went up by 22 points in the 2nd half. Stanford tried to come back, but they couldn't manage it. I bought the tickets a few days before the game but still got great seats. Yay, me! Ticketmaster rules!
Great game. Way to go girls. Gino and his coaching staff get er done. Who's Pat Summit??
The only downside to this matchup between #1 UConn and #2 Stanford was the start time of 5:30. Trying to get through downtown traffic at the time of day was dreadful. I can't remember the last time there was this level of excitement and intensity inside the XL Center. The fans were great and loud. The first half was close throughout but UConn came out in the 2nd half and showed why they're the #1 team in the country.
The Uconn/Stanford sold out game at the XL Center was awesome. It was so good to get back there with a sold out crowd screaming and yelling for our team. They didn't disappoint us, especially in the second half--Maya is Maya and Tina is Tina, but Kalana doesn't get enough credit for what she does-awesome! Also, so wonderful to see the 2000 team honored at the half and to see them again!! Needless to say, I left with a big smile.
An exciting game and with the bonus of seeing the '99-2000 NCAA Championship team honored.
If you want to see history made, go see the Huskies. All they need now is a worthy opponent --- (as Magic had Larry, and Chamberlain had Russell). The Huskies dispatched the Cardinal more handily than the 12-point difference at the final horn would indicate.
Great game! Good venue and even tho we did not have the best seats..had a great time!
Great game a@ Great Venue. An unforgettable night mingling with the great of womens basketball. It is a night I will never forget.
Haven't been that excited since the last time we played Tennessee. Can't wait to meet them again in the San Antonio.
Was a great game, Full house. Good seats .Everyone enhoyed the game
Men's basketball could learn a lot from watching Women's basketball, like passing! There is much more teamwork in Women's basketball.
I had a great time. The seats are a little small and parking was a nightmare. But the game was good!
The game was fantastic, but warning about the seats: if you are seated at the front of sections 122 or 121 (rows G and H), you'll be behind the band and the student section. They stand THE WHOLE TIME. These seats are essentially obstructed view, especially if you're short like me! A very nice and helpful security person helped us find seats farther up that were empty with the caveat that we'd have to give them up if the rightful owner appeared. Fortunately, they didn't, and we enjoyed an excellent view of a great game.
Everything about our experience--to the parking--the dinner--the XL Center--and finally THE GAME!!! was wonderful!. Hartford is a great place. The UConn women are unbeatable--will go all the way again!
Stanford really gave our UConn women a run for their money last night but the Huskies turned things around and beat #2. Only a 12-point spread, however, and Caroline Doty fouled out. Tiffany, Maya, Tina and Kalana were terrific. Next up -- 2010 and more victories!
