About The U.S. Women's National Soccer Team
The United States is home to one of the greatest teams in international soccer, an inspiration for girls, women, and fans everywhere. Millions of soccer fans in the United States and across the world were created when Brandi Chastain led the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team (USWNT) to victory with her penalty kick against China in the 1999 FIFA Women's World Cup final.Â
In the two decades since, the USWNT has continued its dominance in women's soccer and influenced a robust college and pro circuit in the United States. The USWNT also has made household names out of Michelle Akers, Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, Abby Wambach, and Megan Rapinoe, among others, and inspired new generations of women's amateur, college, and professional soccer stars as well as women athletes in all sports.
The United States Women's National Soccer Team has won three FIFA Women's World Cup championships (including the first tournament in 1991) and four Olympic gold medals â in 1996, 2004, 2008, and 2012. The U.S. also has hosted the 1999 and 2003 FIFA Women's World Cup, the 1996 tournament at the Summer Olympics in Atlanta, and it will host the Olympic soccer tournament again when the games come to Los Angeles in 2028.
The USWNT has grown exponentially with the game over the last 35 years. The first game for the United States Women's National Team took place in 1985, and ever since they have been consistently among the top teams worldwide in women's soccer.Â
That success has continued under the English-born Jill Ellis, who took over as head coach in 2014 and led the team to the 2015 Women's World Cup title. After winning their eighth CONCACAF Women's Championship in 2018, the U.S. Women's National Soccer Team will look to take home their fourth FIFA Women's World Cup when France hosts the tournament in 2019.

Great vibe, excellent service! Love going to soccer matches with Ticket Master.
Loved seeing the team !! Wish the announcer had commented/ narrated/informed more. Maybe I'm spoiled by the TV coverage/commentating!!
Accessible parking lots Accessible entrance to the stadium Good temperature Women players were perfect You can eat or drink while you sit For me, everything was perfect
First time seeing the USWNT game and definitely not the last. Supporting the USWNT in person was absolutely amazing compared to watching them play on TV. If you're a true fan of the USWNT I highly recommend going to a game in person... it's definitely worth it!!
It was nice to see fresh faces on the field. Let the new players get some experience.
The night went well. The gates were smooth and friendly. The merchandise was overpriced. The security was friendly. The activations were fun. The game was average.
I take every opportunity to take my daughter to our National Team sporting events--especially women's soccer! Our athletes didn't disappoint during this event, for sure. Can't wait for the next time!
Any time the USWNT wins, it's a good game. We went to the Fan Fest and got a ton of freebies. All the vendors were polite and great to talk to. It was lovely to have photo ops as well. My heart swelled as the US girls pulled together and scored 3 times over Columbia. I saw a lot more team effort than in previous games. It's always an experience when the whole stadium erupts over a US goal. My family sat in a different section than we normally do and it was awesome. I think I may be second guessing my season tickets for next year ;o) Thank you for bringing the USWNT to San Diego! The last live game I saw was in Carson in 2020 just before the shutdown. What a difference 3 1/2 years makes.
It was a wonderful game and a great crowd. But most of the seats were way too heated by a Fall sun. There were not enough swag sales wagons, so lines were very long. I liked all the clubs and eating venues. Those were excellent. The venue needed more signs directing people where to go. As a high level donor to the team, I was owed an onfield photo experience, but I had no clue how to redeem that, nor did I receive any such instructions from US Soccer, the team, ticketmaster, or Snapdragon. That was a real disappointment.
Had a good time with my Mom and Granddaughter - we love watching our Ladies play! Glad we scored - fun seeing Mia and Jaedyn score their first International Goals!
This was an awesome time. Watched to ip and coming stars score and having a 3-0 win was great!
Snapdragon stadium is a terrible experience - from in-experienced, non-sensical parking staff to thoughtless rules about "transparent bags". The whole experience getting to the event and out of it leaves a lot to be desired. Once at the stadium there is no shade at all, and the home team fans are left staring into the sun for afternoon games/matches. Poorly thought out stadium and parking, and completely brainless rules about entry which don't make any sense.
Security was strange- we werenât allowed to bring in a flag that had been a giveaway at this same stadium. I get that different events have different rules, but this seemed arbitrary and bizarre. The fan hq was small and hot. The staff throughout seemed less friendly than Iâm accustomed to. The bathrooms were disgusting. My most disappointing experience at snapdragon so far.
As a longtime fan of USWNT and witness to 1999 World Cup it was my utmost pleasure to meet and greet Shannon Macmillin. To even top that off, our team had a convincing win against a tough Columbia team. Love the young'uns showing how it is done!
Lovely stadium and a great game! USA USA USA USA USA USA
It was awesome to see the USWNT play at Snapdragon Stadium! Hopefully it will be a regular occurrence in the future.
I've seen some critical reviews of the team on here. Any real fan knows this team has been struggling. They're going through a transition phase. Older players are retiring, younger ones are coming on. The existing and new players haven't gotten into a flow with each other. Yet. And today, they looked a lot better than they did during the World Cup this past summer. It still took them a while to get in sync with each other, but they did get there. These ladies are the best in our country. To all those giving them grief, can you show me better yourself? My guess is no. Give them some slack. They'll get there. It was a joy and a pleasure to see them play in person again. It's been too long for me. So will I pay to see them play again? In a heartbeat.
As always, the US womenâs national team played their hearts out and took home the win in San Diego. My only complaint is the stadium has no shade. Youâre in full California sun anywhere you sit.
Would recommend. They had a fan fest before the game. It was fun to watch and obviously a plus that they won 3-0. Hope to go to more friendlies in the future
