U.S. Men's National Team Soccer Live

With new coach Gregg Berhalter at the helm, the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team (USMNT) is on the verge of re-establishing itself as a world soccer powerhouse. Berhalter is a USMNT veteran himself and coached in Sweden, as well as for Major League Soccer's (MLS) Columbus Crew.

"Ball circulation, breaking lines, goal-scoring opportunities. That should be the DNA of this team," Berhalter said in a press conference. In 2019, he'll count on the veteran leadership of Captain Michael Bradley, who has made 142 appearances for USMNT, along with emerging stars in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic, Newcastle United defender DeAndre Yedlin, and Hannover 96 striker Bobby Wood, who has already scored 13 goals for USMNT.

The USMNT 2019 schedule is stacked with early-season showdowns, but the big allure of the 2019 slate is with the Gold Cup. The U.S. has already qualified into Group D and hosts three matches at home: June 18 at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minnesota; June 22 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio; and June 26 at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City.

U.S. Men's National Team Soccer Background

The U.S. Men's National Soccer Team (USMNT) has had an up-and-down recent run. In the 2002 South Korea/Japan World Cup, USMNT had their deepest run in tournament history by getting to the quarterfinals stage. In 2007, USMNT won the Gold Cup with an exciting 2-1 victory against Mexico and maintained a steady peak with appearances in the 2010 and 2014 World Cup.

The Jurgen Klinsmann–coached team got to the round of 16 in 2014, dropping a heartbreaker to Belgium despite a prodigious display by goalkeeper Tim Howard. USMNT missed the 2018 World Cup and has had a revolving door of coaches attempting to maintain the force of the squad. With the arrival of steadfast coach Gregg Berhalter, USMNT is on a mission to get back to being a Top 10 FIFA World Ranking team.

    Awesome Game - Sub-par logistics

by Soccer Mom on 10/18/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Game was amazing! Concession lines too long, slow and backed up on popular items. Exiting the parking lot was a nightmare. Completely disorganized and took nearly 2 hours from the time the game ended to actual exit. Pre-paid for 2 parking spots. No signs for any pre-paid lots and in the end never asked to pay for parking at all!

    Horrible venue

by Loco7 on 10/18/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

UConn stadium is a horrible venue. Took an hour to get into parking lot and took 2 hours to get out after the game. Totally unacceptable. Will never attend an event there again. US Soccer should do better.

    Logistic nightmare

by Wireplus on 10/18/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Entering the facility for tailgating was easy. Tailgating was cool and the fans were awesome to interact with. The lines for apparel, horrible and not well planned out for the crowd they knew was attending. Everyone wanted scarves and they sold out almost instantly. Waited in multiple lines to find out they were sold out of multiple items. Lines for merchandise were conflicting with the normal traffic of people movement so you couldn't tell if you were waiting in line or moving through the venue. The exit to leave the parking area was the worst I've ever experienced at any venue. No clear directions, cars and trucks cutting everyone off and it took 2 hours to get to the highway which was technically 400 yards from where we parked. Would plan to tailgate after event next time and let the craziness expire before fighting traffic! The game itself was fantastic to experience, go USA!

    US Soccer Team at Hartford

by Damon on 10/18/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Thank you for arranging this game. I really enjoyed the USA national team playing against Germany. However, travel to the Stadium not That easy , spend more than half an hour to wait for a bus going back to downtown.

    Terrible parking

by Mk on 10/17/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Parking was horrible, There was not even a sign showing where to park. There was a long line, didn’t have enough staff to collect money for parking. Waited so long after the game to get out of the parking area. Please put some signs says parking where exit from the highway

    Horrible Parking!!!

by BenGold on 10/17/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Game was great, good’s Stadium, but it took an hour to get out of the parking lot because back entrance closed. Need to have multiple entrances and exits for function! Unacceptable delays on the way out.

    Parking needs work

by Soccer fan on 10/17/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

I purchased a parking pass with my tickets and when we arrived at the site we were directed to an offsite parking lot. I paid $25 in advance for an on site spot. The attendants should not have been directing people incorrectly

    Enjoyed the game, nice stadium.

by Djuanarose on 10/17/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Although we didn't have the best weather, the game was fun. Nice stadium but concessions are outrageous. I purchased a bottle of coke, and a Dasani water $26.00.

    Great game, horrible parking situation.

by Leverespresso on 10/17/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Watching US and Germany, even a friendly, was special and memorable. 50 minutes to leave the parking lot was equally memorable, but in a bad way. Totally unacceptable, I would never go to this venue again for a large crowd event.

    Fun game, disappointing result, parking

by Paul J on 10/17/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Wonderful experience for me and my family getting to see USMNT and Germany. Atmosphere was amazing, seats were excellent. Disappointing result, but still has us psyched for 2026 World Cup. Getting into stadium wasn't too bad, and lucky to get out quickly. Heard of long waits leaving parking areas. It was definitely more organized getting in then getting out.

    Terrible Stadium, Pretty Good Product

by TVCritic on 10/17/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

So the US Soccer game was in itself entertaining. Good atmosphere. Nice to see full crowd waving American & German flags. But NEVER go to this UConn football stadium again. They are incompetent when arriving by car. Got there at 12:30 for a 3 pm game and it took one hour thirty minutes to move to a parking space. Incompetent workers. Not enough people taking money. No ability to prepay parking so all 30,000 fans had to wait for like 2 people taking money to get in lot. So so awful. Stadium itself good with food options and homemade lemonade. But parking lot incompetence ruined experience and I wouldn’t come back to this stadium.

    UConn stadium is terrible

by UConn stadium is terrible on 10/17/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Venue is terrible. Took forever getting in and out. Bathroom lines were forever long. Would never go back to that stadium. Saw USA women v. Mexico there last year same problem. Never going back to UCONN to watch anything again!

    Poor Event Organization

by Patri on 10/17/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

The time spent in traffic to and from the event exceeded the actual game fivefold. There was absolutely no consideration from the organization to hire police to help direct traffic and prevent reckless driving from those trying to get to the game or from the Hartford Marathon overflow.

    Team USA & Programs

by MN Annonymus on 9/20/23Allianz Field - St. Paul

I enjoyed the USA vs. Oman men's soccer game, but it would have been better if I had an event program that contained the rosters of both teams. I looked all over the stadium, including in the gift shop, and couldn't find any. When I asked a gift shop employee, they said that these types of programs are not made for these games. What a disappointment!
