U.S. Men's National Team Soccer Live

With new coach Gregg Berhalter at the helm, the U.S. Men's National Soccer Team (USMNT) is on the verge of re-establishing itself as a world soccer powerhouse. Berhalter is a USMNT veteran himself and coached in Sweden, as well as for Major League Soccer's (MLS) Columbus Crew.

"Ball circulation, breaking lines, goal-scoring opportunities. That should be the DNA of this team," Berhalter said in a press conference. In 2019, he'll count on the veteran leadership of Captain Michael Bradley, who has made 142 appearances for USMNT, along with emerging stars in Borussia Dortmund midfielder Christian Pulisic, Newcastle United defender DeAndre Yedlin, and Hannover 96 striker Bobby Wood, who has already scored 13 goals for USMNT.

The USMNT 2019 schedule is stacked with early-season showdowns, but the big allure of the 2019 slate is with the Gold Cup. The U.S. has already qualified into Group D and hosts three matches at home: June 18 at Allianz Field in St. Paul, Minnesota; June 22 at FirstEnergy Stadium in Cleveland, Ohio; and June 26 at Children's Mercy Park in Kansas City.

U.S. Men's National Team Soccer Background

The U.S. Men's National Soccer Team (USMNT) has had an up-and-down recent run. In the 2002 South Korea/Japan World Cup, USMNT had their deepest run in tournament history by getting to the quarterfinals stage. In 2007, USMNT won the Gold Cup with an exciting 2-1 victory against Mexico and maintained a steady peak with appearances in the 2010 and 2014 World Cup.

The Jurgen Klinsmann–coached team got to the round of 16 in 2014, dropping a heartbreaker to Belgium despite a prodigious display by goalkeeper Tim Howard. USMNT missed the 2018 World Cup and has had a revolving door of coaches attempting to maintain the force of the squad. With the arrival of steadfast coach Gregg Berhalter, USMNT is on a mission to get back to being a Top 10 FIFA World Ranking team.

Logistical nightmare, expensive, not worth it

by Austin, TX on 11/19/23Q2 Stadium - Austin

The logistics of getting to the stadium were a joke; no flow to traffic, no additional personnel directing traffic, just road closures. The parking lot we paid $60+ to be in was basically a construction site with no lighting and a bunch of people in vests standing around not helping. The ground was uneven, random curbs everywhere, no light; saw an old man roll his ankle and the only thing a parking attendant said was “watch your language.” Real classy, glad you made sure he was ok. The gates were the only easy part, got in quickly without any hiccups. Concession lines were long & slow, the workers appeared confused about why people were ordering food and in somewhat of a hurry (I missed the start of the second half because I was standing waiting for a burger). The game itself was fine; the team played poorly but still won, and it was exciting to see the stars. The cost of the tickets was outrageous and 100% the reason the game didn’t sell out. If USSF actually wanted to grow the game they’d stop making every . single . consumer . interaction a cash grab. It’s inhibiting the growth of the game and costing them long-term money. Overall, I wouldn’t pay to attend another USSF game (in any city, but especially here) until they figure it out.

Love Q2 and loved the game

    Form the most part, great

by ryan on 11/19/23Q2 Stadium - Austin

The match was frustrating for 80 minutes, but turned to great after 3 quick US goals. The only issue we had was with tickets being scanned at entry. It recognized 1 from my android wallet, and the other 3 would not scan. They verified them visually so we got in, but it took longer than it should have.

    Disgraceful

by Ivan on 11/19/23Q2 Stadium - Austin

Watching soccer has become extremely boring. They practice the same boring play for 90 minutes. Soccer academies like universities do not breed talent, they must be conservative by definition. Absolutely no one on the field wanted to risk an inch. When it comes to sports, professionalizing it has been one of the greatest and most regrettable mistakes, only behind allowing an international mafia to cartelize it.

    Not Ready for Prime Time

by PAL on 10/29/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Where to start.. Getting to the stadium was a little difficult because of the heavy traffic. Once we parked (1/2 mile past the Stadium), it was easy walk to get back to the stadium. But once in there, the lines to buy merchandise were way too long, the bathroom lines were also impossible and then once in our car, it took over two hours to get out and back on the highway. (one way in and one way out). I am not sure if they expected that many people but it just didn't seem like they were ready. Would definitely think twice about going back to that venue. On the positive side, the game was very good and it was very easy to get beers, of which there were many types.

Club seats were a rip off!

by Todd on 10/24/23GEODIS Park - Nashville

no food or drinks was included even though you paid the high price for club seats.

    Parking!

by Peg on 10/24/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

The game was as expected. The US played well for one half then Germany showed its strength. It was a fun day with family. The reason for 3 stars is the parking. Shame on Laz parking. If you pay $25 for parking, there should be an organized way to get out of the lot. It took more than an hour and there was much frustration in the lot.

    Excellent facility & Great Match

by Dan L on 10/22/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Pratt & Whitney Stadium at Rentschler Field is a very easy accessible facility. Lower concourse is open and has ample accommodations. They could use a pedestrian bridge from the grass parking lot to the paved parking lot near the stadium.

Best soccer game we've been to!

by Sheila W on 10/20/23GEODIS Park - Nashville

Geodis Park was a fabulous stadium for soccer. We will definitely be back if any other games are available. So many smaller teams play on football fields which doesn't have great views. Now to the USMNT.....they were awesome! Luckily we were at end where all goals were scored too! Totally electric atmosphere. We purchased some items in store and everyone was helpful and nice! Mostly all around amazing experience except for very long wait to get in parking lot 1. I purchased ahead to avoid delays.

    Good yet pricey

    by Dos-a-Cero on 10/20/23GEODIS Park - Nashville

Excellent venue, great food and drink selections. Parking was pricey for POV, that is why I went with public transportation before and after game. Uber is too expensive after game, unless you walk about a mile away from stadium. Tickets were too expensive considering midweek game. At least $25-$50 cheaper would have been more reasonable and filled up the stadium. I have been to multiple friendlies and WC qualifiers. The last reasonable priced game was the Snow Clasico vs Costa Rica in March 2013. This is one thing US Soccer has to change.

    Overcharged in the Terrace

by Los on 10/20/23GEODIS Park - Nashville

As season ticket holder for Nashville SC we were disappointed that our seats for this match did NOT provide amenities such as free food and beverages. We paid more for these seats with the assumption our seats provided free food and beverages. When we sat in the corner kick section for the US Women game we received free food and beverages. Very misleading and disappointing. We could have sat in better seats for less money if we had known food and beverages were not going to be provided. Also, some vendors serving food ran out of food after halftime. This was for sure not worth our money and time.

    Great game, great time

by El on 10/20/23GEODIS Park - Nashville

USA won against Ghana, so there is that! The seats were super nice, and the stadium was great. The only downside was $17 beers, which is a little ludicrous. But at least they were 24 oz.

    Stadium Atmosphere

by Eli on 10/20/23GEODIS Park - Nashville

Organizers should have lightened up the stadium atmosphere with some good music before the match and half time. Some good 🇺🇸 music and Afrobeats.

    Concessions

by Hungry Hippo on 10/20/23GEODIS Park - Nashville

Need to ensure the ingredients needed to complete a meal are available. The attendance for the match was less than the normally occupancy and yet food and items ran out within the first 20-30 minutes of the start of the event.

    Worst experience ever

by Mike on 10/20/23GEODIS Park - Nashville

We paid premium seating at a club level and we still had to pay for our food . All the time at premium seating the food and drinks are included . Food was very bad and expensive .

Great Match but they were unprepared

by Kate M on 10/18/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

The match was great nd the seats were great. Food was good too! However, this venue was HIGHLY unprepared to manage the amount of vehicles that came to the stadium. The amount of time spent in traffic was longer than the match itself. This would deter me from going again.

    Frustrating...

by Sinjin Van Hook Straap on 10/18/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

The atmosphere was great as were the sightlines and concession stands. HOWEVER, it took too long to get parking and I'm pretty sure we were directed to park near the Massachusetts line :-( We missed most of the first half as a result. So...4 hours of driving for 60 minutes of soccer.

    Great day

by Pam on 10/18/23Pratt & Whitney Stadium - East Hartford

Perfect place to see a soccer game! There was a lot to do with kids before game and the usual soccer fans were in attendance to make the game exciting. Wish the score was different but it was a good day to spend with family.
