U.S. Figure Skating Tickets

Returned to the Greensboro NC Coliseum for the US Figure Skating Championships because daughter and I had such a great time when the event was there in 2011. It was another great experience. We attended all day on Sat. and then the Sun. afternoon event. The food in the Coliseum is pretty poor for the most part so if I had to do it over again I would forget the Sat. morning event which wasn't the championship caliber performers and enjoy a good meal elsewhere and then attend the afternoon and evening events.

This was my first time to the venue as well as first time seeing live figure skating. We had great seats and the entire show was dynamic, entertaining and just plain fun. All of the skaters exhibited finely tuned levels of skill, strength and professionalism in delivering one outstanding performance after another. Can't wait to see another similar event at this awesome venue. Plus I had a really attractive lady next to me and accidentally spilled beer on her and - she barely even got mad.

The Skating Extravaganza was a really ice way to honor the winners. All of the skaters showing up seems to have a great camaraderie and we're certainly engaging with the audience. Their talent and hard work and sportsmanship was a delight to see. Don't know who is responsible for the technical sides of the performance -timing-sound system-show specifics, but it just seemed a bit sloppy. Too much time between skaters, music louder, then softer (the audio can be tempered for that) and it sometimes looked like no one was running the show. The MC was weak and appeared disorganized. He might have been able to cover his disorganization with a tie proper tied, or a neater turtleneck and jacket. Whatever, just more respectful. As well, he could have informed the audience that the skaters had a surprise for us and to wait around. They were delightful at the end and really showed their appreciation.

Seats were expensive which is why the venue was not attended well but the competition was great!

Loved seeing champions and future champions together.

Skating was fantastic. I hope Greensboro hosts the event again. Very well planned and organized.

The staff was efficient & helpful. The facility was clean. The parking system was well-coordinated. The skating stars were excellent.

The entire show was wonderful. Loved it. From beginning to end.

For over a week, heaven existed at the Greensboro Coliseum. Our U.S. Champion Figure Skaters are all fantastic. They combine great music with graceful and athletic movement.

I did not get a schedule prior to the event so I did not know who would be performing. I saw 17 pairs and it was not the "medaling" event I wanted to see. Hopefully I will be able to find out when the women's and men's singles will be performing the next time they come to town and buy tickets for that. The costumes wear beautiful in person though and seeing it live was a treat.

Expected finals - IN COSTUME. Disappointed of finalists in "dorm" clothes. Kudos to Madison Hubbell and Donohue for their excellent dance, and "in costume". My Fav!

Terrific Men's long program event. The skating was terrific, the event well-run, and these seats were fantastic. I had a clear view of the entire ice surface, plus I was near where the skaters came out from the backstage area.

The event was very competitive with one skater after another really delivering. It was also cool to see so many famous skaters up close out in the concourse - the "stars" in this sport are so accessible - truly amazing!

This was my first and definitely not my last ice skating show. It was well prepared, well timed and very enjoyable.

Above expectations. Filled with high level skating executions not just simple jumps and spins.

Going to any of the national championship events in Greensboro is worth the investment. The venue is great and the people working are helpful. There are no really poor seats. All the logistics seemed to work without any hitches. I also think the Fan Fest area and access to the practice rink is awesome. Great added activities for kids and a chance to watch these athletes up close. I also appreciate the visibility of many of the athletes when they are not competing. Its not uncommon to see them hanging around in the halls or sitting together in the stands and they are usually very approachable.

A shame there were plenty of empty seats in the coliseum--it was a great event and well organized from the guides in the coliseum parking lot to the will call window to the ticket takers, ushers and concessionaires. Of course the star attraction was the skaters and they performed at a very high level in the final six of men's and women's. Loved Jason Brown, Adam Rippon, Ashley Wagner, and Gracie Gold but keep an eye on Karen Chen. She may be the future of American women skaters.

Great event. The group from NCSU was not impressive. I enjoyed the Fanfest and seeing the skaters warm up. The Skate Radios were nice as I had to pay for one a few years ago. I certainly hope these championships return to Greensboro again!

The talented athletes were fabulous as was the half time entertainment!
