TYRONE WELLS IN CONCERT:

Folk pop crooner Tyrone Wells has made a name for himself with his heart-rending voice, tender lyrics, and passionate live performances. A video of Wells singing "Beautiful Girl, Beautiful World" to his newborn daughter went viral in 2014, and the same sense of wonder that comes over baby Aria in the video can be experienced at his exhilarating live shows. In concert Wells keeps it simple, serenading fans with little more than an acoustic guitar and his warm, evocative voice. From the deeply moving "Time of Our Lives" to the life-affirming "Happy as the Sun", Wells' spiritually satisfying tunes and sincere live performances always leave fans feeling uplifted.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Tyrone Wells was born to a musical family in Spokane, WA, but he didn't begin writing songs until he moved to Southern California to attend Hope International University. He began performing in the mid-'90s as the singer of Sinai (later renamed Skypark), a Christian band that received a Dove Award nomination in 1998 for their album Am I Pretty? In 2000 Wells launched his solo career with a series of acoustic shows in Orange County, and in 2001 he released his self-titled debut album. A string of well-received records followed, but it was 2009's Remain LP that really put him on the map when it peaked at No. 17 on Billboard's Heatseekers Albums chart. He followed up in 2010 with the EP Metal & Wood, an auspicious collection of songs that spent several weeks at No. 1 on the iTunes Singer/Songwriter Chart. His 2012 album This Love fared similarly, reaching No. 2 on the iTunes chart and cracking the Top 20 of the Heatseekers chart. With his highly anticipated album Roll With It generating buzz in 2015, Wells has fans eager to experience his intimate acoustic sets in the flesh.

    Tyrone Wells in Boston

by PatrickTMy on 4/29/11RED ROOM AT CAFÉ 939 - Boston

Tyrone wells is an amazing musician and always puts on a great show in Boston. There were some people sitting on the floor when my friend and I first walked in. Maybe 939 could do a better job of making sure that everyone is standing and has a chance to see the stage. Sitters take up more room.

    A gem of a concert

by brighteyesjl on 4/29/11RED ROOM AT CAFÉ 939 - Boston

This show was absolutely fantastic! Both Matt Duke and Tyrone Wells mixed new songs and old favorites, and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Tyrone's '80s medley was phenomenal, and his stories were great. I loved meeting both Matt and Tyrone after the concert. They were both so friendly and approachable!

I loved this show my only wish was to have a seat. Hopefully Tyrone will play somewhere else next time, maybe the Berklee Performance Center or another local college with a seated venue. It would be a real treat!!!

Tyrone: Amazing. Drunk Idiots: NOT Amazing.

    by MrsPettersen on 1/4/11Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

I was so blown away by Tyrone! He really knows how to put on a show, that's for sure. The only downside to the whole evening were the adults around us that didn't know how to handle their liquor. They were smashing into other people, pushing people around, and just being an all around nuisance. I honestly did my best to just enjoy the show, but it proved to be difficult. Lissie was incredible, too! My husband and I are definitely fans of hers now. Bottom line: Tyrone puts on an amazing, unforgettable performance for my new husband and I's first New Years together. Lissie delivers a rockstar performance. Kristen Ward was a wonderful opening act.

If you haven't seen tyrone in concert.... you are serioulsy missing out. This show was awesome. Lissie totally rocked the crowd before Tyrone. I've seen him several times (at least 5 times before) and he never dissappoints with an amazing show. He tells stories and has an incredible voice. I love that he's real, humble, gracious, and a genuinely good guy! His songs are wonderful without being rude or crass (sp). I will be seeing him again!

    Tyrone and LIssie were great

    by HighYa on 1/2/11Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

Kristen altho from seattle has a sultry voice but the group was not as tight as the other two acts - maybe thats why she opened - Lissie was fantastic and Tyrone was a great surprise - great stage presence and the music/band was together and very polished

    Tyrone Wells a hidden gem...

    by JStock6 on 1/2/11Snoqualmie Casino-Ballroom - Snoqualmie

Tyrone Wells and his talented band put on a memorable New Years Eve show at the Snoqualmie Casino. This truly is a band on the rise, so do yourself a favor and catch them now before the venues get large and access diminishes. The band even takes time after the show to meet with and truly give thanks to their fans.

by Anonymous on 11/7/10Aladdin Theater - Portland

Tyrone and co. are talented and do an very entertaining show with some variety-- fun, emotion, and they don't get dragged down in filth--you feel good sharing the evening with them. (The opening bands, not so hot)

Tyrone Wells was everything I expected - GREAT!

by Roderic on 11/6/10Aladdin Theater - Portland

Fantastic concert - though the first act "Crown Point" left something to be desired. Tyrone himself was great. What a fantastic (but small) group of folks he performed with. His drummer was AMAZING. Not sure what that dude's name is, but he was very talented. Tyrone himself was as great in real life as he is on Napster at home. Really put on a great show.

    Better and Better

by soontobePT on 11/6/10Aladdin Theater - Portland

My husband and I have been Tyrone fans for about 10 years and have seen him at the Aladdin 4 times. You will not find a nicer man on or off stage. Tyrone has an amazing passion, not just for music, but for life and it truly shines through during his performance. If you haven't seen Tyrone Wells in concert, you're missing out on an awesome show!!

Tyrone Wells, Andrew Belle & Crown Point..AMAZING!

    by wyle24hobson on 10/25/10Shank Hall - Milwaukee

This was one of the best shows that I have been to in a long time and all three sets were superb!! The show opened with Crown Point, artists from Portland and fellow lefties, and I loved how they sounded together. Jon and Russ both have distinct voices that really blend well together and they were very cool and personable guys. Andrew Belle and his friend Sam Gregg did an acoustic set which I absolutely enjoyed. He had a different sound since the last time I saw him; It could be because he was with a full band last time but he is an amazing artist with a great future ahead of him. Very awesome that he is now working with Mocha Club...a great organization helping those in need. Tyrone Wells was wonderful and emotional as always. He mixed up his set with some old, some new, some music with his wife and some great stories. Very nice/humble guy and so very sweet to talk to...he even gave us a couple music recommendations. Mark, his drummer, awesome guy!! If you ever have a chance to see Tyrone live do not miss out on the experience because he is a true artist! What can I say other than it was a show I'm glad I didn't miss!! I loved it!! Great Crowd too!!

Tyrone Wells makes it an unforgettable night!

by APHanno on 10/18/10RED ROOM AT CAFÉ 939 - Boston

The Tyrone Wells concert featuring Andrew Belle and Crown Point was amazing. It started off with the opening acts and both performed well, entertaining the crowd and introducing us to some new music that most of the audience seemed to become immediate fans of (I know I bought their CD's after the show.) Both bands were not just great musically but good entertainers as well. Of course Tyrone was the main attraction and he didn't fail to deliver what we all expected. After leaving the concert, I saw on everyone's face that they were indeed pleased with his performance as was I. His sound was as smooth, powerful, and meaningful as ever with the usual tunes, messages, and vibe mixed with some new songs, new stories, and a little bit more audience interaction too. It was a great night, and Tyrone Wells has made me even more of a fan; in one word, he is brilliant.
