Tyler Perry's "Madea's Big Happy Family"

by elove27 on 10/24/10The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

All I can say is excellent !!! This play made me really want to consider performing in play's. I know that most singer's or performers became singer's in church. As I listened to these actors and actress's there performence was outstanding. I must not forget the one and only Madea, she reminds me so much of my grandmother. She didn't take any mess from no one in the family either. I understand that Mr. Perry was so tired because of the show's that he played in, but he know he's so funny as Madea. My hat goes off to him and my prayer for him is continued success in all that he does. Always put God first in all that you do!

by Sandy18 on 10/24/10The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

This was the first time I had seen a Tyler Perry live Stage play. It was unforgettable. The story was very timely. There were points in the show that everyone could relate to. The overall theme was that we have to treat and love our family as the jewels they are!! I can't wait to see the next play!!

    Funny at All Get-Out

by cj1243 on 10/24/10The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

Tyler Perry has got to be one of the funniest comedians around. His show was very funny & very clean. He makes you forget about the every day stresses of life & takes you into another world for 2 hours. His movies are great, but this live show is even better. He is so funny that he has the other cast members laughing even when they are not supposed to be laughing. Tyler Perry should receive an Academy Award for his writing, directing, & starring in these wonderful movies & this great play.

I have been a Tyler Perry fan for many years and have all his plays and movies on DVD. This was my first time going to see his play and I took my older sister to experience it with me. It was AMAZING and BEAUTIFUL. The messages that he shared with the audience was touchig and heartfelt., Every person could relate to what he was saying. I am thankful that I was lucky enough to see one of his last performances.

Time to take control of your life

by sr0408en on 10/23/10The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

The play was awesome. I have never been to a Tyler Perry play and this was the right time. I lost my husband of 29 years six months ago. The going to heaven scene was very comforting. It closed a door for me and I have my hand on the handle of another. Tyler Perry is peeking into to the hearts and minds of people from all walks of life. He is a blessing and a great messenger. Keep up the good work. Keep on working on the good.

The singing was in mint condition. The play was funny and the message was strong. I laughed, I cried, and I reminisced. I loved the song by Cheryl Pepsi Riley (can't remember her stage name), when she found out her mom was dying. The words of the song she sung was a very strong message to my children; I don't have millions to give them, but I give them Jesus and all my love and time and this was the message in the song.

by LadyMC27 on 10/22/10The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

I love anything that has to deal with Tyler Perry, his plays or movies all have a message that deals with everyday life. He is extremely a talented individual and I thank him for being the man he is. He is not afraid to say what's on his mind or to share his life experiences. May god bless him and his family.

    Madea's Big Happy Family

by Jaztatum on 10/21/10Tallahassee Leon County Civic Center - Tallahassee

A friend of mind has continuously tried to get me to go to one of Tyler Perry's shows. I have continuously declined because I have never liked the plays on DVD due to the singing and quite frankly I never thought they were that funny. I finally gave in and attented the show in Tallahassee, and I must say the show was outstanding. The singing was exellent and the show was truly funny. I truly enjoyed myself. I have since recommended to everyone I know and even some I don't know to attend a Tyler Perry show if you haven't already.
