    Play was fantastic

by CalvinBPTCT on 12/18/10Madison Square Garden - New York city

The is one of the best play Tyler Perry's has done. It is hard to top his past performances, but he has done it. I went to see it twice at Madison Square Garden and enjoyed both performances. The hevenly scene really blew me away. Keep up the good work after your needed rest.

It was a wonderful play. My husband & I had floor seats and the message gave me goose bumps. My husband says that he does not want to see the plays on television anymore, but instead 'live & in person'. Job well done - Tyler Perry!!!

Madea's Big Happy Family is a must see comedy!!

by Roxie1021 on 11/14/10The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

Tyler Perry did an excellent job with his performance and his cast members definitely out did themselves. I absolutely enjoyed this play because I am a strong supporter of Perry and his wonderful talent that he expresses from time to time. I was glued to the stage from the beginning to the end and I never left my seat to make sure I wasn't missing a single line that was said LOL. I laughed until I couldn't laugh anymore and I somehow found myself in tears because I found a similar part of me embedded in a familiar scene. It was a great way to spend my Sunday evening and I was so excited due to the fact that that was my first time ever seeing one of his plays live. If you love to laugh, enjoy having the truth sung to you, and appreciate wonderful people with exquisite talent.....you will definitely love this play and would not regret any time considering it. I definitely recommend it and enjoy :-)

    Big Happy Family - Hilarious

    by Prissy33 on 11/8/10AmericanAirlines Arena - Miami

I enjoyed every moment of the show. It was touching and educational. When Tyler stopped the show for a minute and started talking to the audience about credit and self impossed stress, the whole audience was able to relate. I hope he does not edit the impromptu moments from the Miami show.

This was the first Madea play I have ever been to and it was worth every cent that I spent!!! I would recommend this play 20 times over. Tyler Perry was exhausted but again worth it. I had my friend come with me and she LOVED it as well. It was none stop laughter from beginning to end! Can't wait for the next play to come into or near town! I'm there!

Perry's Big Happy Family was inspirational

by Kitten01 on 11/4/10The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

The fact that this was in memory of his late mother...this was a truly uplifting play. He is such a wonderful and very talented man. May he continue to be blessed in all that he does. Perry is very diciplined with his writings of tect as well as songs. He places a humor at just the right moment. Life is surely that way.

Tyler Perry as Madea was exceptionally excellent!

by off2thespa on 11/1/10Blue Cross Arena - Rochester

This show was excellent. I loved being up close to Madea and the chat with the audience was inspiring. This show is a must see when the show starts up again. I was fortunate enough to see it just before Tyler canceled for personal reasons. My prayers are with him at this difficult time in his life.

    Tyler

by CasiLee on 10/28/10The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

The play was amazing and the characters were all great. the seating I was not impressed because I thought I was closer from the design and I asked recommendation for seats on the computer before I purchased the tickets. Too many stairs for those who were/or handicapped. My guest was not happy about that. Location was nice and intimate. Starting on time PERFECT.

    Madea was off the hook!

by peggiej on 10/25/10The Theater at Madison Square Garden - New York

I thoroughly enjoyed the show. The only issues had to do with people coming in late (some after intermission) and a baby sitting behind us. The subject matter was right on point and Tyler was feeling his Cheerios that night! He told everyone something about themselves in the play and the audience. The oldies and definitely goodies music was a very pleasant surprise. I enjoyed walking down memory lane singing those songs. All of the singing was great.
