    Too much singing

by BReign on 5/16/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I know it's a play but there was just too much singing. And the story line was not that great, also the seats were horrible. The price for the seats were excellent can't beat $25 a seat for a Tyler Perry play.

    Madea's Christmas

by Sabriena on 5/15/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

This was an excellent play. I like the suspense after intermission - family secrets in a seemingly perfect family. Every actor/actress could really sing - I never heard the childhood fairytales, e.g. Jack N Jill, Humpty Dumpty -song so eloquently. The cook - a new actress to Tyler's Perry's play is magnificent. She is hilariously funny and I could visualize her in upcoming roles with Madea. I appreciated starting on time at 8PM - and no uncessary walking or interruptions during the play. The Cobb Energy Centre is a beautiful venue and $10 parking fee was reasonable. I would like to be on Tyler Perry's mailing list for more premier viewing of future plays.

    Madea was worth it.

by JinT on 5/15/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Good performance...hated the uncouth viewer two rows in front of me though. She kept saying Hallelujer and other comments out loud frequently. The little kid she brought with her did the same. Leave the excessive handerchief waving for church and learn how to act in public. She should have been removed by the theatre staff. That's my only complaint. Loved the venue. Loved the show.

    Tyler Perry's Madea was AMAZING!!

by LaughinginAtlanta on 5/15/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Over three hours of hilarity! Tyler Perry and the rest of the cast were wonderful. The play stareted exactly at 8:00 p.m. and lasted until after 11:00 p.m. The set was cleverly designed like an open doll house so that the audience could see the entire set at once and see the action occurring in different rooms simultaneously. The singing was AMAZING!!

    Funny but disappointing

by WhiteGirlLovesMadea on 5/15/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

Madea always cracks me up, but I found the twist in the plot toward the end (regarding the parents of China and Japan) to be extremely disappointing and even unrealistic given all the build up to that point in the story. It ran longer than needed due to the many musical performances. While the singers were all talented, I don't feel that all of the songs necessarily added to the story.

A Madea Christmas was by far the best yet

by DaveUNK on 5/15/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

I am what you would consider the in crowd. I see every play and concert of importance and I have a variety of friends some famous some not. I have heard the complaints about Tyler Perry promoting Baffoonery and This play puts that to bed. I counted at least 5 times where the lessons learned were universal and meaningful. As for the play everyone in the Cast held their own. I loved the natural laughter and the HELLLEERRR !!!! This play would be a perfect 10 but I give it a nine just because the nursery rhyme song could have been shortened but the actor did his thing... HATTIE is a NEW STAR !!!!!!!

This was another awesome play given to us by Tyler Perry. Makes you appreciate the family members you have been blessed whether others will like them or not & never take for granted the "things" you have in life cuz it can all be turned upside down in a heartbeat...

This was my first Tyler Perry play and I loved it! I am already a fan of Madea, but seeing her in the flesh was awesome. I think Tyler Perry is a very intelligent and talented man, and after seeing this play, I look forward to seeing many others.

    Madea Chrismas

by smocoz on 5/15/11Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre - Atlanta

My husband and I try to see a play once a month. This was the better play we have seen in years, including La Cage on B'way.
