About

Tyler Childers is carving his own path in country music. Following the success of his 2017 breakout album Purgatory, the Kentucky-born singer-songwriter has earned 11 career Grammy nominations across folk, Americana, and country categories. Childers' 2025 release, Snipe Hunter, marked his seventh studio album; across the record, he weaves Appalachian storytelling with elements of rock and gospel. Childers remains connected to his Appalachian roots through his Hickman Holler Appalachian Relief Fund, which he established in 2020 with his wife, singer-songwriter Senora May, to bring awareness and financial support to vulnerable communities.

  • Kentucky Proud

by Jessica on 1/2/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Truly awesome show by Tyler and the boys. You could tell he was thrilled to be playing Rupp. He sang his heart out, and the fans were so loud, it was great. The fans were polite and honestly one of the best groups of people I’ve shared live music with. I wish I could go back and relive the show over again. 10/10!

  • Great Show

by Kim on 1/2/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Tyler gives it all he has when he belts out his well known hits and, a few newer tunes. His story telling between songs is endearing. The backdrop to his concert is one any mountain lover would adore. I would recommend anyone who is a fan to see Tyler live he doesn’t disappoint. So proud he is a Kentucky native.

by East KY Neighbor on 1/2/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

This was the best concert that I have ever been to. The way he interacted with the crowd, his facial expressions when he sang, and the way he admired his band was amazing. Would love to see him again.

  • AMAZING!

by MEvans on 1/2/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

The venue seating could use some work, it got old being climbed over all evening (section 219). That said, Tyler Childers is an AMAZING artist. He sounds better live than any artist I’ve ever heard. The band is extremely talented as well. The show is just perfect. Can’t wait to see him again soon!!!

by DanSavannah on 1/2/24Rupp Arena - LexingtonRating: 5 out of 5

Wonderful show!! Tyler shared some stories of his time in Lexington. Wonderfully performed renditions of many of his best songs. Our fellow attendees were fun to talk to before the show. One of my wife’s and my better days in a long time.

  • Incredible

  • Experienced Tyler fan

by Josh on 10/13/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I saw Tyler at the Huntington Music and Arts Festival before he was old enough to drink alcohol probably. I seen him again in Inglis, Fl at a pizza shop with his wife and about 15 other people with just a guitar. The 3rd time was in Ybor city, with a packed bar shoulder to shoulder, and then just a few weeks ago on Lewisburg, wv at the state fairgrounds for a festival. The guy gets better and better every time and people giving under 5 stars because of venue problems have nothing to do with the music. The bigger he gets, the worse the parking, drink prices and proximity will get! He’s earned it! The guy brought a whole new level of talent that is incomparable to what we hear on the radio and every other music stream. He overcame more than one can imagine. I will be there in June of next year at the amphitheater in Tampa to see him again and it won’t be the last time god willing! 5 stars every time!

  • Expensive

by Brockstock on 9/26/23Rating: 5 out of 5

This man is awesome, Im not cheap either, but to pay and see some of these great guys is just ridiculous. I guess I am old fashion at 42 yrs old but $2-500 bucks per tic, cmon. Kind of takes my love out of music for some of these guys. And I f-#-?,% love music.
