About

TWIDDLE IN CONCERT:

Vermont-based quartet Twiddle puts their own unique stamp on classic genres like reggae, funk, and folk by incorporating scorching solos and complex musical improvisation into their laidback sound. The group's jam mentality is elevated by a genuine gift for storytelling, courtesy of Mihali Savoulidis’ earthy vocals and relatable lyrics. The remarkable interplay among band members is on full display in concert, where they treat ticket buyers to sweet harmonies that'll give them goose bumps. On their Dirty Dozen tour with like-minded band Kung Fu, Twiddle continue to bring blissed out fans catchy songs with a heaping helping of adventurous improvisation.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Original members Mihali Savoulidis, Ryan Dempsey, and Brook Jordan formed Twiddle in 2004 after an epic jam session at Castleton State College. Realizing their natural chemistry and shared affinity for a wide variety of genres, they decided to bring their relaxed yet musically proficient sound to nearby cities. Before the group had even graduated they released their debut LP The Natural Evolution of Consciousness (2007), which contained such concert staples as “Jamflowman” and “Frankenfoote”. In 2011 the band brought virtuoso bassist Zdenek Gubb into the fold and released their sophomore album Somewhere on the Mountain. With a more introspective mood than their debut, Somewhere on the Mountain still managed to offer plenty of funky, groovy epics like “When It Rains It Pours” and “Beethoven and Greene”. Renowned for their on-stage energy, the band returned in 2014 with Live at Nectar’s, recorded during a performance in their native Vermont.

by Casey W. on 10/9/23Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

I've been to many shows at the Casino Ballroom, the energy and all around positive vibes Twiddle brought Friday night were second to none. I wish the night never ended.

    Twiddle, Rocks

by Tina on 9/20/23Brooklyn Bowl Philadelphia - Philadelphia

I’ve been to this venue on several occasions. Uncomfortable with the sound level to point. I went out and bought earplugs for the next time I went. It was just crazy loud. The Twiddle show I went to this weekend. Seems like you guys got that figured out and the sound was perfect. Twiddle killed it of course.

    Disappointing experience

by Twiddler on 4/12/23Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC) Capitol Room - Harrisburg

Two stars because Twiddle was great for what we saw of them. The venue was oversold and there was no room to stand comfortably even on the periphery of the room. The over-selling created a danger situation where exits were blocked and means of escape were choked with people. My wife truly loves Twiddle and was extremely disappointed with the venue. We have seen similar acts in years past and they were nowhere near as crowded. We left early, and we never leave early, because after making our way to the lobby for a reprieve from the chaos we decided it wasn’t worth having to literally push our way back through the entrance to the hall for a standing spot crowded against the back wall. We won’t be going back to HMAC.

I had VIP and the guys came out and chatted and let us get pictures. They always are just so down to earth! The music was a variety of stuff I've seen before and some new stuff. Very jammy! I always leave smiling! Looking forward to the next show!

What we got for the VIP package far exceeded what i expected

by Jamflowdudeman on 4/11/23Harrisburg Midtown Arts Center (HMAC) Capitol Room - Harrisburg

I was expecting to just get a quick pic with the band, get our posters, then see the pre show acoustic vip show. Instead the band members hung out and mingled with all the vip people in the concert area. Twiddle is my favorite band and it was so cool to hang out, get selfies, have several conversations with them. Best concert experience ever! The pre-show acoustic set was awesome. Then they played an epic show like always. Cant wait for Cobblestone!!!

    Positive Vibes

by RMS on 4/10/23Baltimore Soundstage - Baltimore

Uplifting experience both with the band and the crowd. Left with a nice burst of positive energy. This was needed to counter all of the divisions that are being promoted elsewhere.

The venue was great - Twiddle was, per usual, nothing short of exceptional. Their music is phenomenal. Their stage presence is unparalleled. The fun they have while creating their music is nearly tangible. It was a great show; stoked to see they’re back on the road.

    3.5 not 4 stars

by Handi-capable on 11/29/22The Capitol Theatre - Port Chester

The show, Twiddle and dogs in a pile were phenomenal. Don’t get me wrong. That part was great. I loved it. I saw the second night. I had no issues with the show itself. What wasn’t Great was the location of ADA seating. It was almost like the disabled were tucked away off to the side out of the way. Which doesn’t make people feel inclusive. There were bars situated at each corner of the set of stairs on the sides. The one bar situated in front of the ADA blocked the view of a third of the seating. I understand this was not the bartenders fault, this is where he was placed for his position. I have a function that would allow me to elevate above his view to see the stage but most other disabled, wheelchair specifically, goers do not have this special feature. I paid extra money through my insurance for this. Even though the upper stage from general admission down below was about two or 3 feet higher than the bottom stage, they were still plenty of able-bodied people climbing up on the rail, in front of ADA, to see over the crowd in the general admission area in front of the stage. There were even able-bodied caregivers/assistances to other disabled in the ADA that would stand up and block the wheelchair bound people behind them. I was not the only one in ADA in a wheelchair. For stairs, legally speaking, ADA compliance is one Foot of ramp per one vertical inch of stair space. Even doing one and a half feet per one vertical inch is still doable for most wheelchair-bound, not ADA compliant but you could make a waiver that would remove liability on your part. I had considered bringing my own personal ramps that extend 6 feet to place over the small set of stairs to get down to general mission.
