TWIDDLE IN CONCERT:

Vermont-based quartet Twiddle puts their own unique stamp on classic genres like reggae, funk, and folk by incorporating scorching solos and complex musical improvisation into their laidback sound. The group's jam mentality is elevated by a genuine gift for storytelling, courtesy of Mihali Savoulidis’ earthy vocals and relatable lyrics. The remarkable interplay among band members is on full display in concert, where they treat ticket buyers to sweet harmonies that'll give them goose bumps. On their Dirty Dozen tour with like-minded band Kung Fu, Twiddle continue to bring blissed out fans catchy songs with a heaping helping of adventurous improvisation.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Original members Mihali Savoulidis, Ryan Dempsey, and Brook Jordan formed Twiddle in 2004 after an epic jam session at Castleton State College. Realizing their natural chemistry and shared affinity for a wide variety of genres, they decided to bring their relaxed yet musically proficient sound to nearby cities. Before the group had even graduated they released their debut LP The Natural Evolution of Consciousness (2007), which contained such concert staples as “Jamflowman” and “Frankenfoote”. In 2011 the band brought virtuoso bassist Zdenek Gubb into the fold and released their sophomore album Somewhere on the Mountain. With a more introspective mood than their debut, Somewhere on the Mountain still managed to offer plenty of funky, groovy epics like “When It Rains It Pours” and “Beethoven and Greene”. Renowned for their on-stage energy, the band returned in 2014 with Live at Nectar’s, recorded during a performance in their native Vermont.

Will never buy with Ticketmaster again

by Userunfriendly on 11/29/16Paradise Rock Club - Boston

Ticketmaster is the most user unfriendly site that I know. I will never buy from you again. The ticketing process wrecked this entire experience for me and my guest. Never again.

    Twiddle was Fabulous/ Venue Sucked!

by Crueltyfree on 2/29/16Upstate Concert Hall - Clifton Park

I am a huge Twiddle fan but would rather have stayed home and listened to them on my IPod. The Upstate Concert Hall was a huge warehouse with a couple of bars in it. There was no seating and no chance of seeing the band. I will never return to this venue again. The band was AMAZING, that is why I gave them 5 stars but I had a poor experience there.

What a great 2 Night run. Just when you think they can't get better, Twiddle blazes on to the next level. Their improv jams have so much energy and they were clearly feeding off the crowd this whole run. Excited to see what the future holds!

The Werks and Twiddle are the next big things.

by trooperrick on 10/14/15Theatre of Living Arts - Philadelphia

As far as jam bands go, these guys are incredible. The Werks have that face-melting shredding spacey kinda jams that blow your mind. Twiddle feels more nostalgic or even folky but they have some incredible extended jams too. I have seen the Werks many times but this was my first time for Twiddle and I can honestly say it was one of the best sets I've seen live and I have seen many shows.

    Incredible

by OtterboxCarl on 8/18/15Theatre of Living Arts - Philadelphia

Went for Kung Fu, couldnt leave once Twiddle came on. One of the best shows ive ever been to. Instead of taking the usual long time to set up between sets, the music never stopped as they tag teamed each others spots on stage. I highly recommend both bands to anyone looking to dance like theyve never danced before. Jamflowman dont give a damn and he will melt your face off!

    Kung FU & Twiddle

by MikeKane77 on 4/7/15Upstate Concert Hall - Clifton Park

Mister F opened the show and killed there set and closed with fly like an eagle cover! Twiddle and Kung Fu played Amazing together. You could tell they were having a lot of fun on stage themselves, making funny faces at each other tying to get the other one to laugh. Such a great show, I'm sure they will tour again sometime in the future!
