Loved this production. Took my 14 year old son and he enjoyed it very much!
Wonderful Christmas production! I took my six year old niece and her exact words were "that was great" and " I really, really liked that"! Took her grandmother and Mom along and they also enjoyed the show. I think we just started a family tradition!
This was the first live stage event for our Granddaughter. She loved it and we loved watching her enjoy it as much as we enjoyed the show. It was lively and colorful with great music throughout. I loved that their were hymns included and a touching story as well.
Wonderful family show, really puts you into the holiday spirit!
This play is for children only. The theater will be 80% children and 20% adults. The marketing was embellished and exaggerated, and so I was disappointed by the actual presentation. Jingo stole the show. The theater, stage, and lobby was filthy and dusty. It seemed that everyone was just going through the motion and all the tender loving care was completely void.
Our annual family outing to the Casa Christmas production was great. Our grown kids and grandchildren all thoroughly enjoyed the show. Familiar music was well-performed and kept children ages 1-7 engaged and entertained. Thanks for bringing some tradition and fun back to the show after last year's big disappointment!
We have gone every year to Casa Manana the past 10 years to watch holiday events there....our whole family thought this was one of their best! The actors and singers were very talented and it was fun, fast paced and had a great message. We enjoyed it!
I do not typically go to plays, but this one was worth it. Although it is tailored more towards kids, adults can enjoy it too. I went with my girlfriend and we both enjoyed the show.
The play was fairly okay. I was disappointed that Santa was barely in the play and showed up for two minutes at the very end. I hoped Molly would have seen him and the play was more Majical for my 5 year old son. Not sure if I will bring him again to a Christmas musical at Casa Mañana. He left disappointed and so did I.
The play was wonderful and my kids really enjoyed it! :0) The only disappointing aspect and the reason I didn't give the whole experience 5 stars, is because of where our seats were located. We were in Section 1, row H, seats 11-14. You could not see all the stage and the way some of the set was set arranged the actors' backs were to us! It was frustrating for my children to see. We now know where NOT to sit.
A wonderful musical for all ages. Singers were amazing. Children of all ages would love the music and dancing.
Very well done. I loved that the performers signed autographs for the kids
Was absolutely wonderful!!! Especially Jingle and Jangle!!
I took my six-year-old granddaughter to this show for her birthday. She absolutely loved it and was riveted every minute. She has talked about it ever since and would like to return to see it again. We saw the show last year which was also delightful. This year the singers were even better, many of them obviously professionally trained vocalists. The scenes were fun and they made good use of the quartet while they were changing sets. This theater is great and it would be hard to find a bad seat because it's truly set up so that you can see over the heads of others and every seat is fairly close to the stage because of the small size of the theater. I've seen many Broadway shows and although this might not rise to the caliber of an actual Broadway show, it comes plenty close and is a great bargain for $25. Having earned a degree in music and theater, I consider myself a discerning viewer. I am really surprised by some of the incredibly negative reviews that people have posted. If expecting a Broadway caliber show, visit New York where the ticket prices can be well over $100. Thank you for making great shows accessible for all.
It was upbeat, fun, great singers and dancers. I took my three year old grandson and he never stopped watching...never left his seat even at intermission. I got the Christmas spirit from this highly entertaining show. It was Awesome!!!!!
It was a delightful show. Music and cast were excellent. My grandson thoroughly enjoyed the whole adventure. Casa did a great job with the remodel hadn't been there in awhile. Looking forward to seeing Seussical the Musical in the spring.
To be honest, I didn't"t know what to expect when I bought these tickets. I was delighted by it and left the show feeling happy and in the Christmas spirit. It is a mix of professional performers and amateur young actors so there were a few rough spots, but overall, the production was wonderful. The story is refreshingly sweet , without adult innuendo type humor but without being sappy.. Molly"s mother had a superb voice when she finally got to sing, but my favorite by far were Jingle and Jangle, Santa's wayward elves. So much fun and terrific costumes, and the tap dancing elves made the show for me. The dancers were outstanding, I saw many people brushing away a tear or two at the end. It would be a great show to take a school or church group to. Very G rated. I think Seniors would enjoy it tremendously. Parking was free and plentiful, but get there a little early.
the play was so cute! Great for kids and adults!!! I loved it! Wish I would have taken my niece!!
The show was way over the level of our 5 year old and the 7 year old didn't enjoy it either. It was not what I expected for one billed as a children's Christmas show. We were up in the LAST row of sold seats and I can easily see why no one bought them. It was horrible. The faces of the people were dark from where we sat so you could not focus on them. The voices were hard to understand so we didn't know what they were saying. Some of the numbers were boring and long like you would sing with no movement. It was our first time there and probably our last. The story line was slow and lame. I have been in theatre for 23 years and I guess I had high expectations of Casa Manana.
We were very disappointed. We took our 6 and 3 year old granddaughters and both wanted to leave after intermission. The jokes told were even hard for an adult to understand and we felt like it just wasn't child friendly. In fact, our 6 year old granddaughter (who's attended many plays and recitals) said the play scared her. We were also very disappointed in the service at the concession stand during intermission. There were only two waiters and tons of customers. By the time we were served, intermission was over. The best part of the whole event was being able to shop the gift shop with no one else around.
