About

Trophy Wife is unapologetic. Based in Brooklyn, this indie rock brainchild of McKenzie Iazzetta (guitar/vocals) is baring all via their grungy and distorted compositions. With powerful vocals and tongue in cheek lyrics, Trophy Wife - consisting of Christian Pace (bass) and Michael Martelli (drums) - has established themselves in the local indie rock scene. Their artistic journey has brought them to cities like Boston, New Orleans, Philadelphia, and Austin, and gotten them press from Wack Mag, The Boston Hassel, and Grrrl Music. They've had the privilege of opening for touring bands The Beaches, The Aquadolls, and Skegss at amazing venues such as Brighton Music Hall, The Mercury Lounge, and Paradise Rock Club.

One thing I've noticed about Trophy Wife is that they're always pushing their own talents, abilities, and work ethics. I've known for years they would make it big. I hope it's soon! If you're in New York city, they're a must see!

Went to the Skegss concert in Boston on November 22nd of 2022. Saw Trophy Wife as the opening act and my mom said she thought it was better than the main act that night. I mean everyone in that band is phenomenal at what they do. The two boys playing guitar play with a such passion and it’s so entertaining to watch. The drummer. Babe don’t even get me started on the drummer. He was FEEEELING the music it was awesome to watch how he played. And the singer. Omg her voice is breathtaking. Absolutely incredible. The little screams that she does in their song Baby’s Breathe is incredible I literally felt like I was gonna tear up watching them perform it was amazing. These people definitely need some more recognition. So young and so talented. Met them after the show and they were so sweet. Drummer is a sweet heart. Idk if the band themselves see this comment or it anyone will see it but it was truly awesome and I want to give these people the recognition they truly deserve. Hoping for more shows in the future!!
