About

Driving guitar solos and throbbing rhythms make up the heavy metal produced by Orlando-based metalcore outfit Trivium. Since their start in 2000, the four-member band has sold more than a million albums and toured alongside other big-ticket metal acts like Iron Maiden, As I Lay Dying and GWAR, bringing fans at venues like Fillmore (Detroit), the Buckhead Theatre and Aztec Theatre to capacity.

Their most recent effort, “Vengeance Falls,” surfaced in October 2013 and landed at No. 15 on The Billboard 200, as well as in the Top 10 on Japanese and Australian album charts. Along with a discography of six full-length records and a healthy U.S. tour history, Trivium has also handled concerts throughout Europe, Japan and Australia.

For the 2006 collection “The Crusade,” Trivium frontman Matt Heafy took a slight departure from his metalcore scream to deliver more traditional singing vocals that some compared to Metallica. That album debuted at No. 25 on The Billboard 200, and Heafy went back to his signature scream for the follow-up, 2008’s “Shogun,” and subsequent releases.

  • Great performance by Trivium

by guitarman2189 on 11/19/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 4 out of 5

This was my 4th time seeing Trivium and by far the best. Their set was amazing and had every song I wanted to hear. I also find it very cool that Trivium has allowed their fans a digital copy of the live cut. However, this was also the 3rd time I've had to see to White Chapel, I'm not the biggest fan of their music but they definitely get the crowd going.

This concert was unbelievable! I didn't get there in time for Dirge Within, so I can't write anything about them. Whitechapel was so brutal. They got the crowd extremely pumped. The energy was insane!. Then, Chimera came on. They opened with "The Venom Inside" once again energy was off the charts, but I wasn't there for them... I was there for Trivium.. Then, the moment I was waiting for, Trivium came on. The whole time there was crowd surfing and pits. Heafy himself said that we were the loudest show yet..

  • Trivium brought the House down!

by Crash921 on 11/18/09House of Blues Chicago - ChicagoRating: 5 out of 5

Trivium, Whitchapel, Chimaira, and Dirge Within put together an amazing show last night. Each band brought their best, and really connected with the audience, they didnt just play a set. Trivium finished out the night amazing, and totally brought the house down! At one point, monitors were swaying as the floor was bouncing around! You could actually feel the floor moving! It was crazy. Trivium really did a great job of connecting with the fans and providing the night with a one on one experience with Trivium! I will definitely go to see Trivium on their next tour!

  • Good but im pissed off

    by Diablo0123 on 11/17/09Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 4 out of 5

the show was good. let me rephrase that. Trivium and Chimaira were very good. The other 2 bands lacked talent. Then the extra money that my friend and I paid to meet Trivium and didnt get to really burnt a hole through me (and my wallet). I would pay to see Trivium and Chimaira again but never to meet them. That didnt work out for me so well.

  • Trivium Dominated

    by TriviumFan000 on 11/16/09Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Years ago, I had bemoaned the fact that I hadn't been able to catch Trivium on tour. It was just as well because at that point Trivium hadn't gotten entirely comfortable with their live shows. Matt hadn't taken voice lessons yet so during the singing passages he would struggle quite a bit. At Columbus this past Saturday (11-14-09), Trivium showed that they are in complete control of their sound. Just to get the cliches out of the way, Trivium put on an amazing show wherein they showcased many great songs as well as their accomplished musicianship. What really made the show fun for me the band's confidence, in particular, Matt's. When one watches older live shows (on youtube or the special edition of "Ascendancy"), it always felt like Matt was just trying to see how many f-words he could squeeze into cliche metal frontman talk. It came off (at least to me) as unintentionally comical. At this show, Matt was clearly having a good time and interacted with the crowd on a fun and lighthearted note. He had no problem with self-deprecating humor nor with getting the crowd pumped up. One could just tell he was having a great time. As a result, the crowd got into the band a lot making for quite the fun concert experience. Also, Corey, Matt, and Paolo were clearly energized and moved around a lot on the stage. As a side note, I had backstage passes so I got to meet the band afterwards. Granted, Travis was not there for whatever reason so they had his drum tech filling in for him (his name is Nick). All of them were quite down to earth and chatty. Matt in particular was fun to talk to. All in all, it was an amazing show. The next time Trivium comes around, I will definitely go and see them.

by JMFK on 11/15/09Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

trivium puts on one hell of a show when they headline. 5 mics setup up front so both guitarists and the bass player can move all over and still sing. high energy show throughout. matt heafy, the lead singer, was in the security pit twice playing right to the crowd. a definite must see

  • Trivium and Chimaira brought down the house

    by metallicafan892003 on 11/15/09Newport Music Hall - ColumbusRating: 5 out of 5

Aside for Whitechapel the show was amazing and worth every penny. This is the third time I've seen Chimaira, and they deliver every time. This was the first time I've seen Trivium and they were amazing as well, the crowd went crazy for them.

  • Great Show!

    by Anonymous on 11/15/09Clutch Cargo's - PontiacRating: 4 out of 5

I was only there for Trivium's set, but they were awesome as always! I wasn't too impressed with the location though. The sounds system wasn't that great, and Clutch Cargo's is not very nice.

  • A Truly Unforgetable Show

by Asullivan on 11/5/09Recher Theatre - TowsonRating: 5 out of 5

All bands that were at the show were down right amazing and it was without a doubt the best show I have ever seen. Dirge Within was amazing and the fact that they all came out to take pictures and shake hands with everyone was amazing. Chimara was amazing. Trivium compleatly blew me away. I would recomend going to see any of these bands to ANYONE who likes metal or just loves a great show.

  • Trivium in Albany.

by Airin on 11/4/09Northern Lights - Clifton ParkRating: 5 out of 5

I did not see this show. Instead I bought the tickets for my son and two of his friends as a 16th birthday present. He is a budding guitarist and Trivium is one of his favorite bands. The doors opened about 5 minutes late but that was the only hitch the whole night. The three had a blast and loved every band that played. I arrived back to the club just as Trivium got on stage at about 10:15pm and listened from the car to what must have been an excellent show. About an hour later they finished up and my son took advantage of a meet-n-greet with the band after the show. I don't think I'll ever be able to top this gift for him.

  • Concert to remember!!!!!

The show that Trivium put was AMAZING!!!! There are no other words to describe it. The supporting bands were just as good as Trivium! This was my first time seeing Trivium and they did not let me down at all!!! One of the best live performances I have ever seen!!!

  • by Kiwi8811 on 11/4/09The Norva - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5

The whole show was amazing! I loved how Chimaira's lead singer, Mark, was smiling the entire time...it looked like he was having a great time. Also, Trivium made sure to get everyone pumped up by telling us to dance, jump up and down, etc. I took my friend for his 21st birthday and he and my other friends had a great time! I would definitely see them again!
