Trey Songz Concert Schedule

Singer and actor Trey Songz picked up the R&B lothario mantle from Usher in the mid-00s with a seductive and suggestive sound that spawned multiple chart-toppers, gold-selling albums and Grammy nominations. The double threat has further cemented his loverman reputation on the stage with headline tours, such as 2017's Tremaine, 2015's Bittersweet and 2012's Gotta Make It, as well as joint treks with Ne-Yo and Chris Brown. Beefing up his catalogue of US Hot 100 hits with a full live band, the Trey Songz live experience provides plenty of passion, raunch and opportunities to bump and grind.

Trey Songz Background

Born Tremaine Aldon Neverson in Petersburg, Virginia, in 1984, Songz first began performing at various talent shows in his mid-teens. After graduating high school, he moved to New Jersey, where he landed a deal with Atlantic Records in 2003. After dropping various mixtapes under the guise of The Prince of Virginia, Trey Songz released his debut album, I Gotta Make It, in 2005 under his more familiar moniker. Home to his first solo US Top 20 single, "Can't Help But Wait," 2007 sophomore effort Trey Day was followed two years later by Ready, a Grammy-nominated affair that featured hit collaborations with Drake, Gucci Mane and Fabolous, and helped him pick up Best Male R&B Artist at the 2010 BET Awards. An MTV Unplugged show, support slot on Jay-Z's The Blueprint 3 tour and behind-the-scenes documentary series, My Moment, kept him in the spotlight before 2010's Passion, Pain and Pleasure spawned his biggest hit, "Bottoms Up," featuring Nicki Minaj. Songz's winning streak continued with 2012's Chapter V, which peaked at No.1 on the Billboard 200 with first-week sales of over 130,000, 2014's chart-topping follow-up, Trigga, and a Soul Train Music Award for Best R&B/Soul Artist Male, not to mention acting performances in Texas Chainsaw 3D and Baggage Claim. After several stopgap releases, Songz returned in 2017 with a seventh studio effort, the largely guest-free Tremaine the Album. By this point he'd amassed over 8.7 million followers on Instagram and 13 million on Twitter.

    Really, Gotta Step It Up

    by 757unimpressed on 9/29/09Willett Hall - Portsmouth

The concert was to begin at 7pm, yet we had to wait in the rain to get in until 7:45pm, we where not told that the 'friends' were nothing but local virginia acts. There was also no michael jackson tribute as stated. Trey Songz did not come on until 11pm, and then only did about seven songs, (four from the new album , two from his second, and like one or two from his first). On top of that this concert was already rescheduled from the week before. So many of the attendees had to leave to go to school the next day. i almost felt that listening to his new cd, which is great, at home on my couch, would have been a greater concert experience. In all and all, it left me with an lol sad face. :(

    Worst concert ever!

by AprilC on 9/19/09Willett Hall - Portsmouth

The concert started an hour late and there were close to 10 different opening acts, which were unknown local artists. Trey Songz came out at nearly 11 pm and only performed for approx 30 min. He sounded wonderful, but would have liked to see more of him since that is what I payed for. Also, the venue was a very poor choice. I felt like I was in a high school auditorium and there really wasn't much of a set at all.

    Concert was horrible!

by Kinu on 9/15/09Willett Hall - Portsmouth

Concert started late. Venue was small. All opening acts were people unheard off by anyone. Trey was good, but only performed for 20 minutes. I was very disappointed. If anyone wants to see Trey Songz please make sure he has other known artists coming with him and not Trey Songz and friends.

    Disappointment

by TreyFan on 9/15/09Willett Hall - Portsmouth

Local artists performed for 2 and a half hours and then Trey Songz performed for 45 minutes. It was a waste of money. I am one of his ultimate fans and I have seen him in many other venues. I will not go back to see him until he is accompanied with "real" celebrities. Unfortunately I hated the 2 hours I waited.. bored ...But in regards to his performance..he looked great and sounded great..he also did a variety of songs from all three albums . I wish I could give a better review but I had to tell the truth.

    Terrible

    by mserie09 on 9/12/09Willett Hall - Portsmouth

This was a the worst gift I ever had, it was alot of nobody's there. It took forever for Trey Songz to come out, rumors was told he was not there. However when he finally performed all of the 15mins on stage it was wonderful. But I believe he should have given the crowd more than 15mins of fame.

    Minus the friends

by Formyrayvin on 9/11/09Willett Hall - Portsmouth

Trey Songz was off the chain. I love him and his performance was so good. Downfall of the whole thing is that it took SOOOOOOOOOOO long for Trey Songz to come out that I feel like his performance was too short but very enjoyable. I would have loved for it to have been Trey Songz only NO FRIENDS!!! The locals made it more like a high school talent show and not a concert!!

    Trey Songz

by PeachesBizzybody on 9/11/09Willett Hall - Portsmouth

The show had way to many opening acts. The opening acts seemed to last longer then Trey Songz being on the stage. Trey did a great job picked great songs for his concert. But when he sang The Last Time I was happy.. That is my favorite song he has. But like I said to many opening acts. One women sitting near me had said that she wasnt excited anymore because it took to long for him to get on... I agreed. First the show started late and then he didnt get on till almost 11 o"clock and we was gone by 12 midnight. Good show but at the same time I wouldnt brag to much about it.

    Yuuup!!!

by shawniebaby64 on 9/4/09Highline Ballroom - New York

This man is so very talented that words cannot even begin to express it. He can really sing and he really puts his heart into his performances. He actually involved the crowd and really made us feel like he appreciated being there. It was too cute to hear him say Yuup! and then us repeating it after him. He actually threw his shirt in the crowd and the girl who caught it got beat up for it. Talk about crazy fans!! You could tell he is humble and I respect that so much. I would love to see him again and again and again. Worth every dollar I spent and every minute I had to wait to see him! He looked like he wanted to cry when he thanked everyone for their support and buying his album and making him who he is today because he wouldn't be anything without his fans... Well said!

    Excellent

by IHeartTheMusic on 8/26/09Regal Theater - Chicago

Trey Songz always puts on a great show and this time was no different. He puts his all into his performance and leaves his heart on the stage. His crowd interaction is great. He has the ability to look you in the eye and make you feel like he is singing only to you. I love his music and his amazing voice. It doesn't hurt that he is very sexy with an amazing body. =) He puts on a great show and I would definitely recommend him to anyone. Can't wait for the new "READY" album coming out on August 31st!!!
