The buffet was good with the exception of the beef which was tough and had a lot of gristle in it. Miss the prime rib, salmon or chicken dinners.
The weather was picture perfect. The whole crew was very friendly. We were not expecting to go down river so had a great time enjoying the delicious buffet lunch while going through the lock on the way to Red Wing. Also, had an extra bonus by seeing the American Symphony docked in Red Wing. On the way back, was able to write on the lock wall with chalk. My two friends also enjoyed our fun afternoon. Thank you for a great day!
Took my kids on the brunch cruise. Everything was very organized. Captain was very knowledgeable and told us about the boat, the river, and pointed out things of interest along the river. Saw a few bald eagles. The food was good, and kids loved that there was free soda. Staff was friendly and helpful. All in all a great way to spend a Sunday morning.
It was promoted as general admission, first come, first served but our party of four had assigned seats and we were seated with two strangers. We arrived early so we could sit together privately. That was a disappointment.
Great job by the whole crew…great food and accommodations!
The cruise itself was wonderful. The food overdone vegetables and also the beef was tough and not that great.
Always so special! Mom started taking the family and treating us to a start of a wonderful tradition. Even though mom is no longer with us, we will carry on this tradition and her spirit is always with us. The crew is always friendly and courteous and the captain always has time for letting little ones wear is cap while steering the wheel or taking time for a few friendly words. We are lucky for this wonderful event! Thank you!!
Was disappointed we were in the back of the ship and really couldn’t see or hear what they were saying . Food was not very warm but we made the best of it with the rain tob
It was relaxing and the food was good our Anniversary outing was enjoyable
The dinner was excellent. We cruised a different way then the first time I ever went. I liked the differ view of the river. The day was a little to hit but the company was great. Thank you Treasure Island.
Went for my birthday. Food was delicious and the staff were great. Would definitely do it again, loved it!
The ride was enjoyable and the food was good, a good value for the cost of the ride. A few suggestions for improvement: * For those of us with flip phones without the capability of apps, only offering a mobile ticket is a pain. Offer an option to print out a paper ticket. After all the effort of getting the tickets on someone's phone, it was never needed to board. It made the ticketing process very frustrating. * There needs to be better instructions regarding where to meet for the shuttle to the boat. * There needs to be signage at Treasure Island identifying the meeting place. * It would be nice if you could select upper or lower deck based on first come first served at the time the ticket is purchased. * The boat got quite warm during the trip. * It would be nice if the sound system were better so you could hear the announcements of various points of interest and other instructions.
A great cruise, well organized ,friendly staff and great food!
Enjoyable as always, been on the cruise many times. We have enjoyed the trip every time we went. The bartender was impressive. It did not take him long to serve everyone a drink. We saw many eagles in air and sitting on dead tree branches. The captain always keeps you informed on the Mississippi's history. The food was great and so was the crew. If you have not made the trip, I would encourage you to try it.
The crew were friendly; food was good and the cruise was ok. The day we went there were a lot of mayflies hanging off the boat. I feel that the crew should have attempted to brush them off the boat before the cruise. It wasn't an enjoyable experience being surrounded by them; landing on you, landing in your drink; spent the majority of the time inside; not the way you want to take a cruise.
As a VIP member of treasureisland. This was my first time experiencing the spirit of the water, with my family and friends. Even thou the weather wasn't as pleasant the environment and people made up for it. The staff was friendly and helpful. Hats off to the chefs the food was delicious and plenty of it to go around. Not much room to move around on the boat but I would definitely love to do this again! Thanks treasure island sland for the wonderful experience my favorite CASINO! 😍
River cruise on the Mississippi was enjoyable with great food and service on board with friendly staff
The food was ok and the ride and scenery was awesome. The staff was friendly and helpful. I would just like to have a cruise without food. All in all it was a fun time.
Good food and good time with friends. I liked the boat ride and the way the Captain pointed out interesting spots along the way. Like where there are always eagles in trees to your left, and this Old House was originally owned by ...., There is a bar on the right, they have baby goats, etc. My friends and I are planning on going again this fall when it's fall colors. Only thing that could have been better was the weather. It was raining off and on. But can't do anything about that.
