    Love this event

by John on 6/27/23TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

I’ve been going to this event since I’ve been a kid. I’m 40 now. This event is literally in my back yard and go to 2 tournament rounds every year! I bring my son with me too. Back 9 is a tough walk and really don’t like how we had to walk ALL the way around 17 this year! It was never like that. But had fun and will be back next year

    Great time

by LP3 on 6/27/23TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

The event was great and family oriented. I only which they had more food stands and more merchandise to choose from. However it was still fantastic!

    Cromwell's Gem

by RADMAN on 6/24/23TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

The event was very well organized with efficient parking, tons of helpful volunteers and great weather. The food and drink prices were OUTRAGEOUSLY HIGH!!! Handicapped access was POOR!! with golf cart service limited to shuttling between the parking lots and the 1st and 18th holes and NO handicapped access to the remainder of the golf course!!!

    Review - Travelers Championship

by The Shark on 6/24/23TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

Love this event, always have. But there are Issues: 1)security hassled me at the entry gate about bringing in a Travelers Championship pin flag - THEIR OWN MERCHANDISE- which is commonly used to get an autograph - ridiculous!!!! I had to ask for a supervisor who couldn’t make up his mind about what to do until I insisted on bringing in my Tavelers Pin Flag - Nonsense!!!!! 2) the driving range - used to be great for fans to watch the pros - now it is largely blocked from view with tournament tents, etc - fans can hardly see who is on the range - ridiculous !!!!! 3) hole #9 - used to be a great viewing hole and a place to seek an autograph from a pro - now is 1/4th the size for viewing because again, tournament tents use the whole area - stupid!!! 4) along the down hill where the players approach the driving range, the tournament has pulled back the fence to keep fans far away from the players - used to be so much more fan friendly a place, no longer true - disappointing!!!!! 5) Despite efforts to isolate the fans by the tournament organizers, most of the pros , except a select predictable few who will remain nameless, are appreciative of fan support - after all, we are the ones who are paying them with ticket prices that have become exorbitant- these tickets used to be affordable, especially for a practice round - Price gauging!!!!! 6) there used to be a Tuesday practice round for fans to come and enjoy, again, at an affordable price - BUT - Tuesday has been eliminated - why???? 7) Recommendation - overall, return the tournament to a fan friendly event - it could be great again

    Event fantastic; other poor

by Hotstick37 on 6/30/22TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

The 2022 Travelers TPC golf event in itself was fantastic. There are however a few important items that will be deal breakers in the future...for us and several families. #1 = credit card only keeps everything "touchless"; can't use cash anywhere at any day. Truth is all vendors at all days attended (3) had their mitts on our food items, drink items, clothing, and memorabilia. Even the vendors were confused by this. #2 = same thing with the mobile ticketing. One day, the scan lines at the entrance were 50 deep in all three lines as the scanners were overheating or something. Paper tickets are much easier. Buy them, print them, bring them....no scanner issues, no sun glare issues, no long lines. #3 = for the price of the tickets, there should be shuttles running constantly from all parts of all parking lots. Other than these items, kudos to all the Travelers volunteers and all the TPC River Highland employees. They were fantastic....friendly, and helpful. The course was beyond immaculate, grounds crew. The play of golf was fun to watch and at a very high level. We hope to see you next year...without rules that don't make sense. Very annoying. Ty.

Way to expensive compared to the past.

    by M. S. on 6/29/22TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

Way to expensive compared to the past. Not as many people on Sunday like in the past. Many friends who used to go were not going to pay $82 per person for general admission. Very disappointed!

    TRAVELERS

by Rob on 6/29/22TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

The event was excellent. However, at 92 degree temperatures, free water should be available around the course, not just in medical tents. This is fair treatment of valuable customers and goes to health and safety rather than just maximizing any revenue opportunity.

First time visiting a PGA Tour event, I like it!

by Caitao on 6/29/22TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

The golf game is excellent. I followed Rory from hole 1 all the way to hole 18, and made a YouTube vlog out of it. The only negative thing is that we cannot bring water and the water/beverage being sold there is too expensive.

    Great time!

by Dave and Connor on 6/28/22TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

I had the pleasure of taking my grandson Connor to the Travelers Championship. It was his first PGA event. We had a wonderful time and like always, the organization did a great job! Connor was free! Great memories. Lots of walking watching great golf and enjoying Connecticut’s best tradition! Thanks again!

Beautiful course, great golf - not spectator friendly

by suZq on 6/28/22TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

Spectator logistics not up to prior years: *No program with day's pairings & tee times/no course map and location of restrooms and concessions. *Long walk to/from parking lot with no shuttles running this year. *Sunny and 92 degrees - concession stands scattered here and there with long lines to pay $4.25 for small bottle of water. *Few on-course leaderboards - needed to use cell phone find out what was happening/ who you were watching.

    Generally fine, some issues

by Tim C on 6/27/22TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

Overall, they do a great job. First class field, and always an exciting ending. My issues are with the ticketing, which forced you into Ticketmaster world --which can be confusing. Also, the concessions pricing was rapacious. And there should be free water available on the course on 90 degree days. Lastly, I saw a staffersend a women back to her car because she had a camera. Really?? In 2022??

    Traveler's 2nd Round Experience

by Hornet on 6/27/22TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

The course was a great venue. Always has been. The food and drinks were very expensive though. (COORS 16 oz - $10.50, Coffee $6, Hot dog - $7.50). Parking was free though. Too bad they eliminated the bleacher stands on the practice range. Always enjoyed picking up a lunch and watching the players hit balls!!

    Paperless

by Paul on 6/27/22TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

The experience was great. Paperless. Smooth movement of many thousands of people. I had an extra ticket that didn’t sell on Ticketmaster, prior. I tried to transfer it to someone at the gate but it was a dead spot, unbeknownst to me. A helper with a Mac Book came right over and volunteered to problem solved for us and fixed the issue in 2 minutes. Very happy!

    Exceptional

    by T. F. on 6/27/22TPC River Highlands - Cromwell

My son and I made the trek from NJ. This was our 2nd straight year that we did so. The tournament is SO fan friendly. The lay out is great and its easy to navigate the grounds. There are plenty of places to get food, take a break, or use a restroom. The course is meticulously kept and it has great grandstands and fan friendly amenities. Everything is well organized and attention is given to the smallest details. We loved it and will be back next year!
