Saw Tori for the first time in 1998 and 25 years later she's still slaying it onstage - bouncing between the keys and giving every song her all. She played so many songs spanning her long career, listening felt like the nostalgic homecoming I didn't even know I needed.

I had seen Tori play the Greek in 2014 during the Unrepentant Geraldine’s Tour, which was the time I got to meet her for a moment. (🥰🎹👸🎶👑🎶👸🎹And I was thrilled to get the chance to catch even an echo of that experience. This time I decided to go all out in my weeb witch attire, and despite arriving to the venue a little later than desired and being a little frantic at the start, it all went pretty swimmingly. Although I did explore the option of a refreshment at the bar, the prices were exorbitant so I was grateful the venue let me carry in my empty water-bottle to refill at the drinking fountain. I was attending alone but was overjoyed by the people around me as we all fell into a nice vibe. One of my favorite parts about this venue is that usually during the opening act the bats come out to feed and so while Tow’r played their numbers I was transfixed by the aerial acro-show that seemed to synch nicely. When the main event started Tori took the stage in shimmering sea witch inspired silvery-grey draped gown that rippled like thunder and really fit the picture of a couture mother sea witch queen when she played Pandora’s Aquarium. She opened with God followed by Crucify and a tidal interlude into Ocean to Ocean but before I knew it things were rollicking and we were all singing along to “Pretty Good Year” which T fumbled at first and we all picked up. She played a transportive rendition Hotel. Request she was 🔥 with Bruce Springsteen and Nirvana covers. For the encore it took T a minute or two and at which point I jokingly said: I wonder if she’s doing a costume change? And this could just be my fan theory, but our concert night was the opening of the Barbie Movie and so for me anything that had Tori doing a really direct reference to American Doll Posse would to my pre-interp be her giving a nod to Barbie. Well she took the stage for the encore as Pip one of the 5 Dolls of the ADP tour and then played some rarely brought out harder hitting bangers like She’s Your Cocaine, Teenage Hustling and Strong Black Vine. I think the encore might have been a song or two longer than the opening act. Hang 10 Honey had me writhing like I’d just heard Cruel for the first time. Last year at the Orpheum I was there on the night she performed Me and A Gun and (I’m actually still recovering from that on some level) and while I didn’t have the same type of catharsis at this show, it was probably the most overall pleasant/joyous concert experience I’ve had. This despite the fact that I flubbed my chance to ask Kristen Schaal to film me twirling in my homemade blue fringed shawl skirt that I donned in the park overlooking the venue for the occasion. She and her friend had walked along just as I was taking selfies and I flipped into self conscious fanic (fan panic) mode and sort of like timidly shadowed her and said friend into the venue and never really properly said hello or anything. Anyway I don’t know why I included that in this review but I figure no one really reads these anyway so…why not just dear diary it. Anyway. But Yeah. It was really a super fun time among lovely people witnessing the beauty of powerful music in a box of water light shimmerings against a backdrop of tree lines hillsides with a sliver of moon in the night sky. The occasional shine of flashlights in the dark of the park of lone hikers on the trails across and above. I hope Tori is back at this venue again in a year or two on her next tour as the Greek is so far my favorite place in LA for a Tori show. Tho by the look of it I need to see about seeing Tori at Red Rocks in Arizona cuz…I think I want that experience based on the YouTube videos I’ve seen. Anyway I’m a ride or die Tori fan if not a true EWF (cuz I’ve yet to travel for multiple shows on one tour) so yeah for what it worth. 5 stars will do again if given the chance.

  • Keep coming back

    by Jared R on 7/24/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I’ve now seen Tori over 20 times and she just keeps getting better. One of the most amazing live acts ever, either solo or with her band. Each night is a new setlist and a rollercoaster ride of emotion. Don’t miss her!

  • Wished for more hits

by BK in Hollywood on 7/24/23Rating: 4 out of 5

According to the posted set lists from other shows, she played different songs of her past hits (which I knew more of). I don’t know if she played a different set at many of the various venues tho. I ended up knowing only three songs which was a slight bummer. Still a good concert and I’m glad I finally got to see her perform.

  • Another amazing show

by Jbranded on 7/24/23Rating: 5 out of 5

To say seeing Tori Amos live is transformative is an understatement. The lighting, the songs, the woman….deserves the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame next year

  • Amazing as

by Pchs on 7/24/23Rating: 5 out of 5

It is always amazing to see Tori perform live in a more intimate setting. The performance was incredible. We all enjoyed it immensely. Can’t wait to be able to see her again.

  • TM & TA Great; Audience Meh

by DC on 7/21/23Rating: 4 out of 5

TicketMaster and Tori Amos were amazing; the audience with their camera flashes and blocking views to shoot videos/takes photos was not amazing at all. Thanks TM and TA for a great experience, and thumbs down to those of you who disrupted everyone else’s in the moment experience with your lense-obsessed lives.

  • As amazing as expected

Tori Amos was truly as amazing as I expected! I was so glad I got to experience her awesome show, just wish she would come here to Albuquerque more often.

  • Worlds apart from the Chicago show last summer

by Tori Fan on 7/21/23Rating: 3 out of 5

I saw Tori for the first time in May 2022 at the Auditorium Theatre and was blown away. It was an incredible show. I danced the night away, completely elated, singing Tori’s praises for months after. So I was excited that she was bringing the same tour to NM, just an hour from where I live. Perhaps I would have been contented if i hadn’t seen the Chicago show, but honestly, I was disappointed. I’m grateful she came to NM, but it felt like a rest stop. The entire show was more of a lullaby. Perhaps it was the small, moldy Kiva Auditorium, whose ceiling did not do justice for Tori’s light show. Maybe it was the generally underwhelming crowd, who felt restless. Generally speaking, I wonder if Tori was saving her voice for bigger audiences. To tell you the truth, I kind of understand, but then give us a cheaper ticket, please.

  • Amazing!

by snow on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

I had doubts about the venue and I was pleasantly surprised they did a great job. I really appreciated the style of the concert with the longform songs. Her voice is a well tuned instrument.

  • Amazing

by OnlyCatsMatter on 7/21/23Rating: 5 out of 5

Incredible. Tori is a literal vibe all by herself. The opening act was also great!

  • Good Concert. Great Talent.

by Tori Artpark Review on 7/20/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Good Concert. Mind-blowing Talent. Not too much in the way on conversation with the audience. Tori did have a badly injured leg though, which she did not speak of at all during the show. No cast on leg or foot at all. Only improvement might be more interaction with the audience.

The Louisville Palace is always top notch and did not disappoint this time around. I have been a huge fan of Tori's since my teens and everytime I get to see her I am more in awe of her ability as a musician - thank you Tori! We love you!! Hope you come visit every year you tour!!

The venue, the Louisville Palace, is visually stunning and a perfect setting for the mesmerizing Tori Amos. She never disappoints! After 25 years of being a fan and having the opportunity to see several of her performances over the years, I still had tears of joy!! Simply amazing

  • Amazing show

  • Great concert

by Rick on 7/17/23Rating: 4 out of 5

Great concert, excellent opening band. Venue is great, my only complaint is that St Louis parking is HORRIBLE. Definitely the city is out there for money and to ticket people.
