About
Tony & The Kiki exploded into existence like a massive butterfly breaking out of it’s chrysalis in a burst of enchanted flames and sequins. Their witchy glam anthems, cheeky covers, and soul shaking live shows garnered them local attention in their native New York City, as well as national & international love. The band has caught the eyes and ears of rock legends like Grace Slick and Fred Durst and have been lauded by outlets like Queerty, LogoTV, Pancakes & Whiskey, & El Diario among others.
The Kiki is a collective of some of the city’s most ferocious players including Junior Pauls (Guitar) and Rodney Bush (Keytar & Vocals) who ooze style and virtuosity; but the crown jewel of this group is its lead singer and namesake, Anthony Alfaro (aka Tony). Alfaro’s vocals and presence defy gender, genre, logic, space & time. Together Tony & The Kiki are a coven hellbent on the vibrational lift of the collective through the yassification of rock and roll.

Tony’s voice is a multidimensional trip of dynamic range and color, expressing deep often humorous lyrics in the delicious funk soul smorgasbord of songs! Tony is a beautiful creature to view ,legs to the neck ,in platform boots, sparkle angel dreamy mustached face , completed by a magical mane of chocolate hair that flies about, we live and we dance with Tony forever to eternity, amen!

I left feeling more glad to be alive in this difficult world! Anthony’s voice is unlimited in range and colors, his song writing /lyrics are soul shaking deep, and hilarious at times. And YOU MUST DANCE for your life to them. His encore song was shattering and beautiful! My only regret is that sound didn’t always have his vocals hot enough.

This is not the kind of band that hangs their head and plays their music. This is a production. This is a performance. We saw them in a tiny dark venue, but they’d be 100% suited for MSG, Wembly Stadium, the palaces of rock. Tony leads the Kiki with high energy that lasts all night, and it truly feels like they could keep going into tomorrow.
