About

TOADIES IN CONCERT:

Alt-rock icons the Toadies are back on the road, celebrating the 20th anniversary of their 1994 debut album Rubberneck with a series of grungy, distortion-laden shows. Performing the classic album front to back alongside hits from their other releases, the Toadies take the stage with the same muscular sound that propelled them to fame back in the '90s, and audiences wouldn't have it any other way. From "Possum Kingdom" to "Doll Skin," fans can expect to hear all their favorites as the band hits the road for their Rubberneck 20th Anniversary Tour.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Formed in Texas in 1989, the Toadies toiled in relative obscurity before skyrocketing to fame with their seminal 1994 debut LP Rubberneck. The album spawned six singles including the wildly successful tracks "Possum Kingdom" and "Away," earning platinum certification by the RIAA and landing the band on tour with a number of big-name acts including the Red Hot Chili Peppers and Bush. After y ears of extensive touring, the band released their highly anticipated sophomore LP Hell Below/Stars Above in 2001,but went on hiatus after the album failed to gain traction. Following a five-year hiatus, the band reunited in 2006 and they've been at it ever since, treating fans to another round of shows on their Rubberneck 20th Anniversary Tour in 2014.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"20 years later and they never fail to impress. The show was beyond unbelievable!"

"Toadies proved that they still rock!! Not only did they sound great live, but they put on a stellar show. Playing the oldies (which had the whole crowd singing) and showcasing the new stuff."

"After playing the entire Rubberneck album to open their show, they then proceeded on to playing a variety of their best songs from their other albums... The band fed off of the energy of the crowd and vice versa."

  • Always an Awesome Show!!

by Amy on 1/3/25Emo's Austin - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

The Toadies are an amazing band and have been kicking ass for decades! New Year's Eve at Emo's in Austin was no exception! They have been my favorite band since the 90's and still rock! I have never been disappointed at ANY one of their dozens of shows I have been to. If you haven't seen them, you should really check them out! Keep rockin' Toadies!

Toadies always put on a good show :) I like Emo's venue too.

  • Only label needed is “great live band”

by Black sheep of the family on 1/3/25Emo's Austin - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Todd, Brotha Rez, Clark, and Doni are extremely talented musicians and they have some of the greatest fans…a must see band for Rock & Roll lovers of any age!

  • Badass Texas rock and roll band

by ccsquare on 1/2/25Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 5 out of 5

This is the 4th year we’ve seen The Toadies at the Aztec during their December Texas tour. Always kill it!!! Cannot wait for next year.

  • Hire a new sound mixer

by Toadies Fan on 1/2/25Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 2 out of 5

I'm not sure if there was a new sound tech for the Toadies or they are not used to being in a smaller venue, but the sound was so terrible I could not tell what song was being performed. After 3 songs we stepped out into the foyer to see if it sounded better with a little distance, but sadly it wasn't. The longer we stayed in the foyer, the more people were coming out from their seats for the same reason. The Vandoliers (opening act) must have had a different sound technician because they sounded great. We could hear the vocals and the instruments perfectly. I wish the Toadies had someone with them that could have helped out their sound mixer.

  • Concert conversations louder than the band

    by Deanrivers52 on 1/2/25Aztec Theatre - San AntonioRating: 3 out of 5

The seats and view were great, but too many rowdy drunks in the top rows. These people were having conversations while the bands were on, they were speaking loud enough to be heard by patrons in front of them (me). You can only ask for them to quiet down politely oh so many times.

  • Toadies

by Awesome show on 1/1/25House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

Outstanding show couldn’t get any better HAD GREAT SEATS

  • Great music! Terrible venue....

by JD on 1/1/25House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 4 out of 5

The Todies and The Vandoliers were amazing, the House of Blues Venue in Houston is terrible for standing room. Get rid of the ridiculous seated section in the middle of the floor. No one goes to a rock show to sit down. We will never visit this venue again.

  • Great show, questionable venue

by Annde on 1/3/24Emo's Austin - AustinRating: 5 out of 5

Local H rocked it out (as usual) and the Toadies slammed it to bed. The venue has some issues, there's NO parking and where are those "marked"exits? Asking for a friend.

  • Crowded

by tj on 1/2/24House of Blues Houston - HoustonRating: 5 out of 5

That is the most people I've ever seen at House of Blues and it was certainly crowded.
