About

All rise for Academy Award® winner Aaron Sorkin's adaptation of Harper Lee's Pulitzer Prize-winning masterwork. The New York Times Critic's Pick TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD is "the most successful American play in Broadway history." (60 Minutes). Rolling Stone gives it 5 stars, calling it "an emotionally shattering landmark production of an American classic," and New York Magazine calls it "a real phenomenon. Majestic and incandescent, it's filled with breath and nuance and soul." With direction by Tony Award® winner Bartlett Sher, TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD -- "the greatest novel of all time" (Chicago Tribune) -- has quickly become "one of the greatest plays in history" (NPR). Emmy Award®-winning actor Richard Thomas will play the role of Atticus Finch in the National Tour.

    Five Stars

    by DDH on 8/21/23

The venue and sets were just right for this important play. A bit disappointed in Scout. She looked 10 but did not sound like a 10-year-old. Atticus' summation was superb and deserved the ovation it received. Thank you for bringing To Kill A Mockingbird to Chicago.

    Well Written & Outstanding Performance

    by Lioness on 8/19/23

From beginning to end, this play was phenomenal. The story was clearly told with excellent dramatic effect and humor. It took me back to the book that I read decades before in such a realistic way.

One of my all-time favorite theater experiences

    by Pcronkright on 8/18/23

I was prepared to enjoy this experience, but I was not prepared to be blown away. Aaron Sorkin‘s script took a classic text and represented it in a way to address the issues of today. for me, this place is right up there with Les Miserables, Hamilton, and Wicked! Over-the-top well done.

    Fabulous

    by Judy on 8/16/23

Both the book and the movie are my favorites. I was a bit skeptical whether a play could live up to the book and movie ( especially Gregory Peck). I was not disappointed. Richard Thomas was the perfect Atticus. And I was blown away to see Mary Badham ( Scout in the movie) was in the play. What a treat. Loved how it was a bit “ contemporized” which made the plays powerful message even more relevant. I would go again in a heartbeat!

    Sin to Kill Mockingbirds

    by Justice on 8/16/23

The presentation was well representative of the book. The humor included gave a lighter touch to the seriousness of the actual content . Richard Thomas was extremely good as Atticus Finch.
