    Only saw 1/2 a show

    by J. P. on 6/11/23

Very disappointing performance last night at the Amy & Tina show. It started off great, but about 1/3 of the ways into the show, during Amy’s standup routine, the fire alarms went off. The show was delayed for about an hour, while people still gambled at the tables. However when the show started up again, Amy and Tina were clearly off their game and cut out a large part of the show. In fact , they appeared to be fumbling over the Q&A. Also still waiting to hear Amy’s entire experience as a waitress, and mispronounced words. After spending $2000, very disappointed TM nor Hard Rock was willing to make amends .

by Rebecca on 5/24/23The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Tina and Amy are amazing! They did standup, improv, skits, told stories, and answered questions. Tina Fey is one of my inspirations/heroes so having the opportunity to see her live was something I couldn't pass up. I drove 6 hours and if Tina ever goes on tour again I'm willing to go further.

    Unmet Expectations

by Lolo on 5/24/23The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

I have watched these ladies for over a decade, read their books, binged their shows, watched the golden globes just for them… I had such high hopes I’d be seeing something amazing meant to fire up ladies in the crowd, belly laughs, and mom bladder close-calls. At most I had some deep chuckles and tried to trick myself into thinking this was great - but let’s be honest it was the ticket cost and travel that made me want to think this. I was very let down by the performance, but won’t stop being an enormous Tina & Amy fan on the big screen!

    Amy/Tina Experience

by Stever on 5/24/23The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

First off, my wife and I are both big fans of Amy Poehler and Tiny Fey. We really enjoyed their show. Being friends for over 30 years and sharing many experiences. Loved their video presentations and having Fred Armisen as a special guest was an added bonus. The Chicago Theatre was a great venue for their show. If they both ever tour again, I would highly recommend. They will not disappoint.

    Fantastic Comedy Show from Legends

by Garrett on 5/24/23The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

It was fantastic seeing Tina Fey and Amy Poehler together. They are the ultimate friendship goals and such a bright light. The show was such a great mix of improv, standup, Q&A, and callbacks to some of their previous projects together. Would have loved for it to go on for hours and hours.

    Best Day Ever!

by Mindymayg on 5/24/23The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Tina and Amy's show was fantastic! If there is any way you can get a ticket to their far-too-short Restless Leg Tour, do it! Get a second mortgage or sell a kidney - it's totally worth it!

    Meh

by Laxal50 on 5/24/23The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

Not sure why I paid to see this show, probably because they are both genuinely funny, but it was definitely not worth the money. I wish I would have saved my money for something else.

    Once in a lifetime experience

by Ashley on 5/24/23The Chicago Theatre - Chicago

This was a once in a lifetime show that exceeded every expectation I had. I have followed and celebrated these ladies’ careers for over 20 years. They have never disappointed me and they certainly didn’t LIVE. I was honored to be in their presence. They gave there and left me hurting from laughing so hard. What a delight.

    Amy & Tina

    by Buttons49 on 5/22/23Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

Love these gals. Loved their show. My only issue was the sound system. I probably only caught about 70% of what they said. And if they turned their head at all, I missed a lot of it. The warmup (opening) act Molly was great. And Fred Armisen was a great surprise. And very, very funny.

THE SHOW WAS BETTER THAN EXPECTED

    by Rich19 on 5/22/23Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

First they opened up dressed like the golden globes, then they changed and did a skit of them in the 90’s of how they met, then they did they’re SNL skit of weekend update which was cool as hell and a special guest came out during the weekend update. I heard others say they had Rachel Dratch, which would have been cool. But I’m happy with our guest who was none other than Fred Armisen, who was extremely funny. Then each one did stand up comedy and they closed it out with Q&A. I won’t go into details of what they said because I don’t want to ruin it for everyone else who didn’t see them. All as I can say is I was extremely surprised as to how much I enjoyed the show considering I got the tickets because my wife wanted to go. They were extremely funny and also they gave us our money’s worth! Overall experience 10/10. Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have a new fan.

    Horrible

by Eric on 5/22/23Rosemont Theatre - Rosemont

The seats were horrible since we couldn’t see the video board behind Tiny and Amy while they played clips throughout the performance. They had small video screens on the sides of the theater but didn’t show the clips that were on the main screen. Never thought seeing a comedy show would have been such a problem. Very disappointed.
