TIMEFLIES IN CONCERT:
Since 2010, New York-based duo Timeflies has been igniting dance parties across the country with their self-described brand of “electro hip pop dub-something”. At their adrenaline-filled live shows, producer Rob “Rez” Resnick and vocalist Cal Shapiro masterfully navigate a wild array of genres, keeping the energy high and the good vibes flowing as they unleash an eclectic mix of rap, pop, and electronic music. The pair’s aptly titled third album Just For Fun (2015) was written on tour, and the explosive energy of life the road is unmistakable as they perform the record’s larger-than-life tracks in concert. Whether they’re hyping up their “Flyhard” fans with the euphoric EDM anthem “All the Way” or showing off their funkier side with the genre-defying retro romp “Worse Things Than Love” (feat. Natalie La Rose), Timeflies always treats ticket buyers to a party-worthy concert experience full of catchy-as-heck pop jams and swaggering showmanship.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Timeflies’ roots trace back to a 2007 party at Tufts University, where an impromptu jam session resulted in Shapiro freestyling over Resnick’s beatboxing. Recognizing a musical rapport, Resnick invited Shapiro to sing in his funk band Ride. After the project dissolved during their senior year the duo began recording songs as Timeflies and posting them to YouTube. Their 2011 debut album The Scotch Tape was a breakout success, peaking at No. 4 on Billboard’s Heatseekers charts and leading to performances at college campuses and music festivals around the country. Following several popular EPs the duo made their major label debut on Island Records with 2014’s After Hours LP, a Top 10 hit on the Billboard 200 that yielded the party favorite “All The Way”. Since then they’ve performed on Good Morning America and Jimmy Kimmel LIVE! and licensed their songs to high-profile clients like the MLB, Red Bull, and American Idol. With their third album Just For Fun generating major buzz in 2015, Timeflies are poised for their biggest year yet as they gear up for the highly anticipated Just For Fun Tour.
I have been a HUGE fan of timeflies for a few years now and this is the 3rd time I've seen them in St. Louis, as always it was a one of a kind experience! Even got meet and greet and the guys were so awesome, can't wait til they come back!!
Amazing concert! Amazing Band and the venue we saw them at (The Pagaent in ST Louis) was amazing as well. There are no bad seats at the pageant!
I've been to several different concerts, and by far that was the best concert that I have ever been to! Timeflies knocked my socks off!
We met Kap Slap!!! It was awesome!! Sound quality was great. Wish there were less chairs and more room to dance.

Loved it! Best night of my life!!!! If yall love timeflies yall will love this concert! They sound amazing live and their opening band the hey daze was very good (oh and cute too!)
Let's just say Time Flies got on stage at 10:30 sprayed water bottles on everyone and decided to sing a song, then left by 11:10pm. Plus there was no one there. My friends and I thought the people who worked for the House of Blues needed a night off because they were all so rude.
This was the second time I have seen them in concert and this was just as good as I remember. It is nice to have group like Timeflies be able to come to smaller cities like Brookings and Vermillion, SD. Timeflies is one of my favorite groups, and I will definitely look into seeing them again in the future.
Concert was great. Too forever for him to come out tho.
Timeflies knows how to put on a show. If you get the chance to go. I highly recommend going. They were AMAZING!!!

The opening bands were just ok, nothing to talk about. Timeflies however, was amazing. Cal and Res really interacted with the fans and played music that they knew the listener wanted to hear. Venue was seemed like a large bar which I personally thought was really cool and made it seem like a more personal performance. Just wish I would've known about the meet and greet passes!
Timeflies knocked it out of the park. The preceding acts were sub par at best. Cal and Rez left us wanting more however, I understand that they perform at such a level that it would be hard for them to perform much longer. We loved.the show. It was an amazing night.

Down with Webster, Kapslap, and Timeflies were absolutely all fantastic. They had so much energy throughout the entire performance, but were also really good performance wise too. Especially Cal and Rez. Honestly, it may have been one of the best concerts that I've been to. Even though the venue itself wasn't too great (or rather, the people AT the venue weren't too great--learn to hold your bladder and liquor, people) this review is mainly about the musicians. I would definitely come back again to see them all.
Timeflies Tuesday did an amazing job! They really gave such an awesome and memorable experience. I am so happy I bought the tickets and went to this event. Tons of fun.
Timeflies only played for about an hour and a half. The concert was over by 10pm. What he played was good, it was just really short. Stage AE is a great venue!
One of the absolute best shows I have been to! Interacting with the crowd was wonderful and they made sure to use the entire stage to interact with the crowd.
