    Urban-Yes/Mayer-Not Great

by LUEDDAVE on 5/2/11Mandalay Bay Resort - Las Vegas

Went to event looking forward to John Mayer but was more impressed with Keith Urban. Mayer played mostly new songs I hadn't heard before and the well known songs he did play were changed so much I could barely recognize them. He showed great energy playing guitar but was did not wow me with the song selection or performance. Urban was outstanding. Really got the crowd involved and created a much higher energy level when he was performing. I liked the three or four songs the two of them performed together.

The collaboration between John Mayer and Keith Urban was absolutely amazing. A mix of blues, rock, country, and soul, these two men stole the show!

I love John Mayer but he was more interested in getting out of the concert hall rather than playing....very disappointed!!!!

    Way too short!

by scurrie on 5/2/11Mandalay Bay Resort - Las Vegas

This was a great pairing of phenomenal musicians. First time I saw John Mayer and he didn't disappoint. Huge Keith fan and he NEVER disappoints! While both of them were great, I was expecting them to do a lot more than 2 or 3 songs together. And they really didn't play all that long. A lot of money for such a brief show. All in all, definitely worth it. But please, next time, when they're billed together, they should really play a lot more TOGETHER!

    Tiger Jam

I bought tickets at a pre-sale for Keith Urban fan club members, therefore one would think you were going to get decent seats. We were directed to our seats at the Mandalay Bay Events Center and they were TERRIBLE. We were up SO high and felt so claustraphobic we got nauseous and almost left. The event was not sold out, there were tons of empty seats (the place seats 12,000) so yes, I was extremely disappointed. We were at the end of a row where you couldn't leave, almost trapped. It was terrible. The staff would not allow us to change seats, even though there were hundreds of empty seats. I'd like my money back please.

    John Mayer Spectacular

by Bakeroregon22 on 5/2/11Mandalay Bay Resort - Las Vegas

This was my first trip to Vegas. I took my kids (18 and 16) with me. My daughter is a huge John Mayer fan; so this trip was for her. We could not find anything wrong with the show itself. However, my very excited daughter and a dedicate fan to John Mayer, went to buy a t-shirt or some other John Mayer merchandise; to her suprise, there was not anything available for her to buy. She is still disappointed that she could not bring a souviner home of John Mayer.

Surprised to see John Mayer not headline a venue but Keith Urban knows how to put on a good show. I wish Mayer had played longer than 30 minutes but it was worth the money.
