    Not a VIP experience

by VIP on 11/13/19Miramar Regional Park Amphitheater - Miramar

The food was good but the variety that was served by the catering company was not enough. They also stopped serving the food too early. There was not a separate entrace for VIP and it took over 30 minutes of waiting in line to get in. Also to get into the event we were searched for a ridiculous amount of time and felt like we were at the airport. There were no separate restrooms for VIP. There was also not enough seating in the VIP area. People were standing up for over an hour before additional seating was brought. Last year's VIP event was alot better.

    Dream come true!

by Anonymous on 5/30/18Aura - Portland

This show was such a dream to attend. As a Jamaican, seeing Third World live in concert is something I have always wanted to do. They are such phenomenal showmen. I would hands down attend one of their shows again.

Both shows were GREAT! I was surprised so few people were there. Aura is a great place! The staff were wonderful as well.

If I could give it 10 out of 5 stars I would!!

by clhomme on 5/21/18Aura - Portland

This was a staggering concert! His voice was STUNNING. All the songs were put out with passion and stunning precision. This was like seeing a masterclass in Reggae. At one point the bassist broke out an electric cello and Brown belted out an opera aria which the audience loved. May not be the original lead singer, but a fabulous show nonetheless! Be prepared to go home late though - it finally ended at 1am, and I didn't realize how late it was...

It was a great show and if they were to come back I would definitely go see Third World again. I keep telling my friends that my husband was a "stage hugger". LOL!

Third World Rocked the Howard Restoration in D.C.!

    by Cedar310 on 8/29/14Howard Theatre - Washington

It has been been too long since I remember Third World playing D.C. and it was great to see them again. Saw them in college in the 80's and several years after at Constitution Hall and Kilimanjaro. Very skilled musicians who play with a lot of feeling. Great harmonies and a truly great lead singer. Hope they come back this fall after their gig at the Apollo. Interesting new album with some classics like 96 degrees, Try Jah Love, and Now That We've Found Love along with cool covers of some ballads and a classic Marvin Gaye song.

Julie Dexter and Maxi Priest, both accomplished acts delivered a highly entertaining performance Third World was top notch, they displayed polished musicianship bolstered by the amazing vocal performance of PJ Brown, the newest member of the group. These men are truly experienced, gifted musicians. I thoroughly enjoyed this show, highly recommend

    Third World rocked my WORLD

    by jdg7mom on 7/1/13Alrosa Villa - Columbus

I cannot even begin to express my wonderful feelings for Third World. I had heard that they were more into Jazz (not really one of my flavors) than Reggae (one of my favorite flavors) and was a little worried. It was absolutely awesome. The Vibe of the concert was inspiring on a world level as all age and race difference were left at the door. We often leave concerts early to avoid traffic but we stayed to the very end. Thanks Third World for bring the joy of life in Jamaica to Columbus, Ohio.

    Jammin

by DanceSister on 12/2/12New Jersey Performing Arts Center - Newark

The Jamaica At 50 concert at NJPAC was good. The venue was intimate and comfortable. I was pleasantly surprised at how nice it was inside and out. The parking was conveniently located and everyone had a great time. I had never heard Ky-Mani Marley before. He was so good! The only negative, if there was one,was that Third World's set was pretty short. I was especially looking forward to seeing them again. I could have listened to them all night but they only sang 5 songs..with the cello solo being the highlight of the set. I still very much enjoyed myself and will definately attend concerts in Newark in the future.

The best concert I have ever been to!

by DanceSister on 11/18/12Reggae celebration - Newark

I have been to many concerts of different types and have seen Third World twice before. In all the years I have enjoyed the different concerts I have been to, the two Third World concerts were the best. When Cat Gore played the cello, everyone jumped to their feet at the end and gave him an outstanding applause. He was so good. The whole group is comprised of gifted singers and musicians and they always give 100%. I really FEEL them. I am looking forward to going to their concert in Newark on November 30. My island brothers!

    Third World always delivers!

by niabinky on 8/18/10Seacrets - Ocean City

This group has been touring for 37 years and has many unforgetable songs, most of which they performed at this show. There sound is crisp and clear. The lead singer Bunny Ruggs is unforgettable. His voice is just as powerful as it has always been.

    Third World was awesome!

by Oney on 8/15/10Keswick Theatre - Glenside

The reggae band, THIRD WORLD, was outstanding. The gave a length, electrifying performance. ! did not give the event 5 stars because I was disappointed that attendees in the least priced seats were allowed to come up front the fill in seats in the highest priced seats. That was unfair to me. To make matters worse, many of them stood, blocking my view, the entire show. If the performance had not been so incredible, I would try to get reimbursed the $20 difference in the price of tickets.

    Reggae Love Fest

by Bigboned on 5/31/10Jannus Live - St Petersburg

This was the most amazing concert I have been to in a very long time. All the acts, even the show openers was just awesome. The new improvements to Jannus Live are wonderful. It looks and smells better. I am so looking forward to other Reggae concerts at this venue. The only complaint that I have is the lack of seating for others that don't drink or are a little up in age and have trouble standing for very long periods of time. Please, we need more seating.
