Third Eye Blind Concert Schedule

Having emerged from the late-90s post-grunge scene, Third Eye Blind is known for their brighter take on grunge sounds, often borrowing themes from classic rock and pop chords. The band, which debuted their single 'Semi-Charmed Life' in 1997 to critical acclaim, quickly rose to fame and eventually went on to win the 1997 Billboard Music Award for Best Modern Rock Track. Building on their impactful initial success, Third Eye Blind released a number of singles following 1997's 'Semi-Charmed Life,' three of which reached the Top 10 charts. They also toured with bands such as U2 and Oasis before their Bonfire Tour across the US in 1998 and releasing their second album, Blue, in 1999. In more recent years, the band has toured and performed at festivals such as Bonnaroo in Tennessee, Life is Beautiful in Las Vegas, Reading Festival in the United Kingdom, and In the Mix in the Philippines. Third Eye Blind live performances are noted as impressive for their meticulous use of lighting to set the mood for each individual song and for their high-energy interaction with audiences. Their Blessed by the Gods tour in 2017 received positive reviews for an impressive setlist that perfectly mixed songs from each era of their career.

Third Eye Blind Background

Originally from San Francisco, Third Eye Blind is headed by singer Stephan Jenkins. Although seeming to come out of an overnight success, Jenkins worked for years on the songs before he even met his future bandmates and their first self-titled album in 1997. Bandmate Arion Salazar noted that he was playing with Stephan in 1993 and opened for the Counting Crows in April of 1994 before Kevin joined and the crew began producing actual demos. The band received its name from Jenkins, who wanted to reference the metaphysical concept of a mind's eye. Other members have included guitarist Kevin Cadogan and former Counting Crows drummer Brad Hargreaves, each contributing to the overall success of the post-grunge group. The album Third Eye Blind went six times platinum while the album Blue went single platinum in the United States. Songs such as Jumper' and 'How's It Going to Be' reaching the Top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100. In total, the band has sold around 12 million records worldwide. Third Eye Blind Still Strong

by fluffy311 on 7/12/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

The Third Eye Blind concert was pretty awesome. They rocked hard and had a great opener. They got the crowd going and made it a ton of fun. Really interactive and showed that they were excited to play in front of us. Had a ton of energy and played some classics and some new releases. Stephan even staged dived towards the end of the concert. They got everyone so pumped up and made a strong connection with the audience. All their songs were played with great detail and there were almost no parts where the live sound made the music all smudgy. I was able to hear all the tiny sounds and the guitarist and bassist were really focused on getting each note out clearly. They kicked ass that night.

Third Eye Blind was pretty great!

by EmHaynes on 7/12/09Lifestyle Communities Pavilion - Columbus

The band mixed in a few of their newer songs, like Non-Dairy Creamer, with a pretty large aray of older songs. Would have liked to see them play Crystal Baller, but overall, kept me, and those with me, very entertained!

This concert was amazing! I would have had a good time if they had just done their new songs, however at this concert they played all my favorite songs...young and old.

    TeB still rocks

by JBax on 7/11/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

I've seen Third Eye Blind a few times now, and this was another solid show from Stephen and the boys. The crowd at this show was a bit weird -- a few too many drunk frat boys and cougar-type moms for my taste. The security guards had to keep breaking up the near fist fights going on behind me, which kind of took me away from the set. The music was great though and I loved the little acoustic break in the middle. Overall, a great night.

    10 years late

by lizzie2506 on 7/11/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic City

This is the band I loved in high school, before I was even really into music. Loved them. The first album is basically in my car cd player half the time I'm driving. I like the new EP; I love Out of the Vein. I was so excited to finally see them live. I wish I'd seen them 10 years ago. Dave Grohl said that joining Nirvana ruined Nirvana for him. I feel the same way about seeing 3eb, like my fantasy was tarnished a little. They were really good, but the show just seemed kind of flat. I wanted Stephan to jump around and be the beautiful 30 year old I remember in my head. That whole 30 minute set where they sat on the couch and kinda jammed really brought me down. It was a good show, but it wasn't great. The 60 year old guys in Aerosmith have more energy than the 40 year olds in 3eb. Still love the music though. Maybe they were just having a slow night. Psyched for the new album.

If I didn't lock my keys in the car...

by KristenUNH2010 on 7/11/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

Such an amazing night! They sounded excellent, as always! This is my second time seeing them, and the venue (Hampton Ballroom Casino) was great. And hey, if you lock your keys in your car, I know from experience that there are plenty of AAA tow companies around to come unlock your car :-)

by DEJoe on 7/11/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic City

Will always get a great show from Third Eye Blind. They usually play a similar set list but this time mixed it up with some older music they haven't played since they toured for those CD's.

I've waited 10 years to see Third Eye Blind!

by Robin0925 on 7/11/09Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom - Hampton Beach

I have loved this band from the minute Stephen Jenkins opened his mouth. I had a wonderful time seeing them. Yet, the Casino Ballroom in New Hampshire has its ups and downs. Good thing: I was so close to the band!!! There's not a bad seat in the house. Bad thing: No A/C and pushy, immature kids.

3eb is one of the best live bands touring today

by Salfla on 7/11/09House of Blues Atlantic City - Atlantic City

Forget about these acts that rehash their old stuff and pretty much go through the motions on stage, this band hits the floor running and doesn't stop till the curtain drops. Aside from being one of the most affordable acts on the road today, their shows have a level of intensity that is unmatched by most artists of the same genre. This show, being the sixth time I have seen the band live but first time in over 5 years, was one of the best performances I've seen. With a perfect blend of old to new stuff, they mixed it up and had the crowd involved from the start. I was also surprised by the number of early 20-late teens in attendance as I figured most fans would be the typical gen-x'ers like myself. They aren't one of those bands that spends countless amounts of time bitching about government, war, etc. They state their piece and get on with the show which I'm sure the crowd appreciates. With their new album on the horizon and by the looks of the AC concert, they have plenty of fan support, I hope to see this band continue to enjoy it's success into the coming years. If your worried about spending $$$ on a concert, I can assure you this band is relatively cheap to see and more than delivers.
