    Thin Lizzy Pretty Good

by bds2279227 on 10/28/11Grand Sierra Resort and Casino - Reno

This was my first time seeing Thin Lizzy and it met my expectations. I've watched a number of excellent shows this year and TL did not make the top 5. This is a very solid band with an exceptional lead guitar and drummer. However, the show seemed to ebb and flow. One song would be stellar and the next one not so much. At least I had lots of opportunities to get rid of some beer and buy more.

    Thin Lizzy

by yimmy on 4/4/11Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

Thin Lizzy played 18 incredible songs. I enjoyed the guitar playing of Scott Gorham and Vivian Campbell. Brian Downey was great on the drums as well as the other players. Ricky Warwick did a great job singing the songs. One of the best concerts I have seen.

Thin Lizzy Rocked the Sound board

by EnglishBob on 4/4/11Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

What a fantastic night of 'Rip it up Rock'.... the three original members of Thin Lizzy rocked as hard as the new members, Rick on Vocals sounded just like the late Great Phil Lynott and Viv Campbell on lead guitar....well it was just a virtuoso performance. Pity more rock fans didnt come out to see them... there was probably less than a 1000 fans.. but it didnt stop the members of Lizzy giving a performance as if they were in a stadium with 60,000 fans. Unbelievable value for the the $20 odd dollars i paid for a ticket...great great night...thanks Thin Lizzy....

    Thin Lizzy/Soundboard/Motorcity Casino Hotel

by krisandG on 4/4/11Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

THIN LIZZY ROCKED!! Was unsure about this show but WOW! Ended up being very very fun. Soundboard is a great venue...would love to see another show there. Drinks are pricy. The hotel was surprisingly pleasant with beautiful rooms! CLEAN! CLEAN! The rooms were clean, but hallway getting there was not...dirty carpet, trash left out. Highly recommend the SPA! Top notch valet and bell service.

    Thin Lizzy Rocks!

by teacher2 on 4/4/11Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

We were fortunate enough to see the most recent incarnation of Thin Lizzy in Detroit. Of course, Phil Lynott is very missed, but the show was just spectacular and musically extremely tight. Any Lizzy fans should not miss the opportunity to see this show!

The Thin Lizzy Boys Are Back

by JohnnyTFox on 4/3/11Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

As a long-time fan, I was so excited to see the band touring again. I twice missed them when they came around in the late 70's and early 80's. My concerns about them having lost the energy and magic (i.e. the last Who Tour) were put to rest within the first few bars of the first song. So great. The quality of the songs shines through. They still sound as fresh today, as all those years ago. It is disappointing that they never really made in the US. With such timeless songs, it was too bad that the younger demographic was missing from the show. Even with a 1/2 sold out crowd, those guys played like they were at Radio City or O2.

    Thin Lizzy - Great Show!

by SueandJer on 4/3/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

Would recommend seeing just about anyone at the Keswick. The venue doesn't get much better. EVERY seat is a great seat. In a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere, you can sit back and enjoy the show. The bar & concessions are good. Parking is the best around (& free!).

    Thin Lizzy in Top Form

by gtrjoe on 4/2/11Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

Went to see the revamped Thin Lizzy last night in Detroit. What a show, the current lineup includes original drummer Brian Downey, original guitarist Scott Gorham, guitarist Vivian Campbell (Def Leppard/DIO), bassist Marco Mendoza (Whitesnake, Ted Nugent), singer Ricky Warwick and keyboardist Darren Wharton (latter years Thin Lizzy). Personally, I am a professional guitarist with 31 years playing experience, I was hoping for some good guitar work (Les Paul heaven) and not much else; but I was pleasantly surprised. The singer really held his own, and worked the crowd very, very well-he's from Dublin, so the Irish accent helped-I think. The bass player was exceptional and really played Phil's parts perfectly. I can honestly say this band jelled very well and of course Vivian's playing was incredible. He absolutely nailed Gary Moore's solo in Black Rose and if you are familiar with that song you know what a killer solo he did in that. The guitar harmonies were just spot on, I ended up in the front row against the stage, got to shake Scott Gorham's hand and he gave me a guitar pick-really cool. Wish the camera worked better in low light but I got a few good shots and some video. I haven't seen this professional a group in years, they, just tore it up. I really can say I got more than my monies worth. They are done with North America, but heading back to Europe for the second leg of the tour. If gas wasn't as expensive as it is, I would have gotten tickets to the final show in Chicago and gone, I enjoyed it that much.

Had no idea Thin Lizzy had reformed as a super group. Tight, energetic, authentic and enthusiastic portrayal of a classic by a great rendition of Thin Lizzy. Came in with low expectations and was knocked out of my socks.

Thin Lizzy : Simply the "Greatest"

by JBut on 4/2/11Sound Board at MotorCity Casino Hotel - Detroit

Lizzy came out with 'Are You Ready" We were and So were they!! I have seen them 5 times since Phil died and this was by far the Best!! I did see them once with Phil but I was in the 8th grade and didn't realize the greatness I was witnessing. Scott is the most underrated musician in the most underrated band in the history of Music.Ditto Brian Downey.Vivian:Brilliant. Marco:Awesome. Darren: Amazing. Ricky:What an addition!!!. Obviously I Love Thin Lizzy but I dare anyone who was there to say it was nothing less than sensational. They were, with Phil, and still are simply, the Greatest Rock-n-Roll Band in the World!!! They also just happen to be the nicest group of fellows you would ever want to meet. I implore everyone who likes rock music to do ypurself a favor and see this great group of guys collectively known as THIN LIZZY!!!!!

by Simonz on 4/2/11Keswick Theatre - Glenside

This was truly a memorable show. Thin Lizzy really rocked, playing for 2 hours. They played all of their hits. The band was tight and sounded like the original line up. I've been to a hundred rock shows, but this was absolutely one of the best. I hope they come back soon.
