Great show for the money! FYI, the show started at 9pm, but Thievery started playing at about 11:20pm and ended about 1:30am

THIEVERY CORPORATION IN CONCERT:
Lounge and electronica collective Thievery Corporation capture the sleek sounds of the international set with their chilled-out beats, worldly sonic palette, and lush synthscapes. Their mesmerizing and eclectic mix of bossa nova, acid jazz, trip hop, and a host of other genres had crate-diggers drooling with jealousy between sets at their 2013 shows, reminding fans just why they're one of downtempo's most beloved acts. With a highly anticipated new album due out in 2014, Thievery Corporation are set to blow minds once again on their upcoming North American tour dates.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Washington, DC's Rob Garza and Eric Hilton formed Thievery Corporation in 1995 as an outlet for their shared love of acid jazz, dub reggae, and Brazilian musical traditions. Using Hilton's Eighteenth Street Lounge as a base of operations, their early mixing sessions were a huge success, resulting in their 1997 debut album Sounds from the Thievery Hi-Fi. While the album was a minor success, it was their second record, The Mirror Conspiracy, that really put them on the map, led by the sweltering single "Lebanese Blond." Since then, they have continued to pioneer new directions in downtempo, headlining some of the world's biggest festivals and establishing themselves as legends of the genre.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"So talented and entertaining. Definitely worth seeing them live again soon."
"Absolutely rocked the place. Collaboration of old tunes with new and energetic stuff made it so special and enjoyable. The place was jamming! Loved it!"
"This is the third time I've seen Thievery Corporation and I must say they are one of the BEST live acts I have ever had the pleasure of experiencing. If you have not seen them live you are doing yourself a horrible disservice."

Thievery was AWESOME as usual
by Heebsies on 10/29/09The Norva - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5Thievery performed as well as ever. They could have explained why Eric was missing. The after party however was LAME! Not an ideal meet and greet. Maybe Thievery was'nt feeling like meeting any of their fans. The Norva also charged a whopping $2.00 for a GD cup of tap water on ice.
Thievery Corp- absolutely NUTS
by googlemebaby on 10/29/09The Norva - NorfolkRating: 5 out of 5Went to see Thievery Corporation at the NorVa. I've really only been a casual listener of theirs, expected a good show with high-quality tunes though. The second the bass came on, I knew I was in for a party. It was honestly louder than some of the shows I've been to at Bonnaroo, and those systems are for a crowd of 10,000+. Don't know if it was the venue or the band bringing that heat, but damn. Earth-shattering basslines dominated the show in the best way possible, and everyone was dancing the entire time. They just make really stellar music, and if you've ever heard them and liked it, you need to see a show. Completely different experience. Usually I chill out to their records, but they step it up for their live show. They really know how to work a crowd, and I'm not sure they were expecting everyone to go as nuts as they did. It was just a giant dance party. They had crazy visuals in the background on two screens, including "C'etait un rendez-vous" at one point, which was pretty dope to see projected on a huge screen. The crowd cheered them out for not one, but TWO encores, and they delivered with each one. I highly suggest you check them out if you ever get the chance- you won't be disappointed. The opening band was also awesome, chiller tunes that had the crowd head-bobbing.
YES on Thievery Corporation
by Palmdog on 10/29/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 4 out of 5I am a fan but I did not know what to expect from a live show. It was incredible! The stage was full of live musicians including two horns, a sitar, guitar, bass, two full drum kits, keyboards, dj, and a rotating cast of vocalists. I loved every minute of the two hour show. The drinks were expensive at House of Blues but I should have expected that. If you get a chance, please go see Thievery Corporation, it was an uplifting experience, very high-energy and I hope I get a chance to see them again.

by NHHOBFan on 10/27/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5What a unique showcase of talent, styles and sounds! The enthusiasim and energy of this group is simply phenominal. Went to sleep to the CD and am still carrying around my mind's images of the performance. What a great way to start the week.
Thievery Corporation was GREAT!
by NHchicken on 10/27/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5This is the second Thievery Corporation show I have seen at House of Blues Boston. I had been waiting with anticipation for almost 5 years. Such talent, individuality, and awesome musical collaboration. I loved the volume of it- like I could just feel the music inside of me.
Thievery Corporation + Federico Aubele were great!

Best Live Show Ever
by Liqwa on 10/27/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5If you even faintly like Thievery Corporation GO SEE THEM at House of Blues. This was the most frenetic energetic live show ever.
great show. They never disappoint.
by SlickChicknyc on 10/27/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5This is our 3rd time seeing them in Boston over the last 2 years. They NEVER disappoint. They are so tight they sound great. I danced all night. They played all the favorites. This is the first time we had box seats on 3rd floor, I was glad to have our own little corner & a seat if I wanted. But unless you are front row, even up there, you can't see them from your seat so you have to stand. Love HOB Boston for shows. Wish the second level was open for all to use. It seemed some VIP situation was going on. That I didn't care for too much.

Amazing Show, got the whole crowd into it and everyone just seemed to have a damn good time.
- by techa on 10/27/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 4 out of 5
Unexpectedly amazing!! Great show, great music, great variation! Never thought such 'chill' music could get me that 'pumped'
Thievery Corporation tops 'em all!
by BeantownDee on 10/27/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5Talk about an amazing night! First of all, the crowd was extremely diverse- always great & completely representative of the band. Second, a great mix of their chill beats while keeping the momentum going with their unreal bass player. Third, love love love how much they focused on talking to "Boston". (I've been to other concerts that didn't ONCE mention the city's name that they were in!!) Fourth, SUCH a long performance! Most concerts I've been to are over in 2 hours max but Federico & Thievery combined played for over 3 hours- great job guys. Fifth, the music's great and seeing them live was even greater. Simple as that.
Thievery Corporation
by mjk31 on 10/27/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 4 out of 5Had a great time at the show. Federico Aubele was a nice warmup, but a little bit heavy on the love songs, but otherwise quite good. Thievery Corporation was extremely good, but the crowd was a bit pushy. Overall a good experience.
amazing show!!
by estaat on 10/27/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5Thievery corporation is really awesome live. They rocked the house!!
There is Thievery Corporation. And that is all.
by pennylan on 10/27/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 5 out of 5The opening act almost killed me, too mellow, too boring. But the moment Thievery Corporation took the stage, the whole thing is transformed into some unearthly experience. When are they coming to Boston again???????

Absolutely fantastic...love their music and they ended up having people at the encore dance on stage with them. Great fun.
thievery corporation
by sensisma on 10/27/09House of Blues Boston - BostonRating: 4 out of 5this band never lets you down and they sounded incredible and put on a killer show....however, the venue of house of blues absolutely sucks though, no clear view and the whole 2nd level was roped off for vip...i have attended 3 events there and this will be the last one.
