About

The Zombies on Tour

An iconic British band of the 1960s, The Zombies created some of the most adventurous and wondrous pop songs of their era. Hits such as "She's Not There" and "Time of the Season" continue to be rediscovered by new generations of listeners who are just as wowed by these songs' ingenuity and richness as the Zombies' first audiences were.

Since returning to world stages as The Zombies in 2004, cofounders Rod Argent (vocals, keyboards) and Colin Blunstone (vocals) have made the band vital in the present, too. With Argent and Blunstone backed by guitarist Tom Toomey, bassist Soren Koch and drummer Steve Rodford, The Zombies have garnered wide acclaim for their new recordings as well as 40th and 50th anniversary tours for Odessey and Oracle, the group's still-spellbinding 1967 masterpiece.

Inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019, The Zombies performed dates with fellow music legend Brian Wilson on the Something Great From '68 tour, which launched at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas in 2019.

The Zombies in Concert

The Zombies' six-decade saga began in 1962, when a group of music-crazed teens in the English town of St. Albans started their own band. After changing their name from The Mustangs and adding bassist and songwriter Chris White, The Zombies' potential became clear. Their first single for Decca in 1964, the plaintive "She's Not There," became a signature song of the British Invasion, reaching No. 2 in the U.S. and selling over one million copies.

In 1967, The Zombies set a new standard for pop with an album that would become as influential and revered as the very best of The Beatles. Odessey and Oracle fully demonstrated the gifts of White and pianist Rod Argent, who crafted beautifully ornate showcases for lead singer Colin Blunstone's voice alongside their own. "Time of the Season" became another major U.S. smash.

The original band split up by the time of the album's release, but White and Argent would soon have more success with their new band Argent. In the 2000s, Argent and Blunstone started a new chapter for The Zombies when they reunited for a series of tours, including a triumphant Odessey and Oracle 40th anniversary tour. New albums such as 2015's Still Got That Hunger are further proof of The Zombies' renewed vitality.

    Top of Their (Different) Game

by Rob on 3/30/24Birchmere - Alexandria

It's a fact that you can't be a performing artist for over 50 years and suck. It's also a fact that The Zombies would put bands half their age to shame. This tour in particular was a mix of their timeless classics and gems from their current (2023) release. (Yes, they still write and record new material.) Colin Blunstone's vocals are still on point- no key changes here! Rod Argent is still a tour de force on keys and as a bandleader. The goup is tight, entertaining, and friendly. If you enjoy British Invasion rock and roll, see this band. Now. Seriously. Buy tickets without delay.

    An utterly incredible show!

by DD on 3/30/24Birchmere - Alexandria

It’s hard to imagine but true that after more than 60 years as The Zombies, the two principal members, songwriter and keyboardist Rod Argent and lead singer Colin Blunstone, are at the very top of their game! This was without exaggeration a show of a lifetime.

    Saved by box office

by Bad app on 3/30/24Birchmere - Alexandria

The Zombies were great, but the app failed. My party only got in because of service from the box office. In future I'll avoid the app where possible.

    Sixty years? Still great!

by Greg on 3/30/24Birchmere - Alexandria

Having been a ticket holder last year when The Zombies had to cancel their last four dates, we saw then at The Birchmere where Colin Blunstone first thanks the crowd for their understanding and being there. Starting off with songs from 1964, they came out strong and just got better throughout the show. Rod Argent brought the house down with a long rendition of “Hold Your Head Up” even though he first introduced it as the Zombies’ best known song, then joked it was by Herman’s Hermit! Wow. Just amazing. The supporting newer members had great presence as well. Nobody there left disappointed and we all hope they keep going. What a great show!!

Great concert. The band was terrific.

by stkarnick on 10/27/23Brown County Music Center - Nashville

Colin Blunstone still sings great. He hits the high notes, in particular, surprisingly well. He sounds much as he always did. Argent is amazing on the keyboards. He hasn't lost a step. His singing has always been underrated, and he sang very well in this show. The other band members are all, well, more skilled than the original members of the band, and their background singing is quie good. The solos during the extended version of "Hold Your Head Up"were prog-rock-level and one of many highlights of the show.

    "Tell her...yes...yes...yes..."

by Mato on 10/26/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

Mainly taking advantage of the 4 tickets for 80 bucks special, we arrived at the concert with no expectations. (I have been to the MGM Casino venue before.) After a little gambling, a few cocktails, and a nice dinner, we took our seats. The opening act, a local Youngstown singer-songwriter-guitarist named, J. D. Eicher, accompanied by a bass and drums, performed a pleasant half hour set of his originals. (I would have liked to hear some backing harmonies, but that's just my opinion.) The Zombies took the stage after a short break and delivered a set of rocking tunes and tender ballads. They were able to touch on a repertoire from 60 years of playing. Original singer, Colin Blunstone, and original keyboardist, Rod Argent projected energy well beyond their 70+ years of age. Accompanied by a competent backing group of bass, drums, and guitar, they shone throughout as a tight-knit ensemble. Yes, of course they played the big hits such as, "She's Not There"and "Tell Her No", but I was quite pleased to hear an early song called, "I Love You". The evening was rounded out with some "deep cuts", as Rod proclaimed, as well as tunes from a new album released this year. The mixed age large capacity crowd were enthusiastic and at times, dancing in the aisles. On a personal note, as a former audio-visual technician, I was quite pleased with the over-all "Goldilocks"sound mix. Not too loud, not too soft. Just right. The evening ended as it should, with a beautiful duet between Rod and Colin.

by Mike on 10/25/23MGM Northfield Park - Center Stage - Northfield

The Zombies put on an energetic, entertaining show. They have not lost a beat and considering their ages, that is amazing. Colin still has a truly impressive voice. Highly recommend the Zombies live performances.

    Phenomenal

by Chris on 10/24/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

That was a spectacular concert from start to finish. The venue was comfortable, without a bad seat in the house. The Zombies played a stellar set ranging over their entire discography and I was loving it all the way through. I came in to this show not expecting to want any merch, left with a t-shirt and a new vinyl.

    Zombies Rock

by Carl on 10/23/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

The Zombies still rock after 60 years. Rod and Colin still hit all the high notes. The show was the right blend of classics, new and some old deep tracks. Loved the show.

    Amazing

by JeffT on 10/23/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

The Zombies were and are amazing. They played all their old hits plus four cuts from their newest album which is phenomenal. I couldn't tell who was having more fun them or the audience. Let's call it a draw. If you're like me, wondering how the vocals would be after all this year? Well guess what? They're incredible. Some of those high notes we're unbelievable.

    Great Show

by Mike on 10/23/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

Second time seeing the Zombies. Rod Argent was on fire playing the keyboard and piano. We were sitting right behind him and could watch his hands moving like lightening. Liked the old big hits from the 60's as well as the selected songs from their new album. The venue is unique with the weird split seating in a V formation. Colin Blunstone even joked about needing to be paid double because he was singing to two audiences. It was a fun concert. I want to note the opening act was a rare and pleasant surprise. JD Eicher was really good and very appreciative of a chance to tour with the zombies.

    obstructed view

by jeff on 10/23/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

The band was facing section 1. Section 2 was staring at Rod Argents back. The sound was even bad in sect 2. I had to stand against the wall in the aisle to see the show. All tickets for section 1 should have been listed as obstructed view seats. My friend that came with me is a drummer - - you couldn't even see the drums from where we sat. The Zombies were great but the venue sucked. I'm not sure if I'll ever go back. Also, there's an unmarked step at the entrance. I tripped and hurt my knee, chin, wrists, and neck on the way in.

    More incredible than ever

by Ron on 10/23/23Ludlow Garage Cincinnati - Cincinnati

The Zombies were incredible Friday! I’ve seen them many times, but this performance was so good. The energy level was high throughout the entire show. Rod Argent’s wizardry on keyboards was magnificent to behold. Colin sang better than ever. Tom Toomey and Soren Koch were all over the stage. What showmen! Rodford’s drumming kept the energy going. A totally overwhelming and beautiful experience—from my Ticketmaster front row seat.
