Four years after forming in a London school, The xx unleashed their 2009 eponymous debut via Young Turks. The 11-track collection not only earned accolades from critics across the globe, but it also scored the U.K.’s coveted Mercury Prize and landed the dream-pop band in the limelight stateside. Singles from their indie-label foray graced American television programs like “Person of Interest” and “90210,” as well as a Karl Lagerfeld runway show and NBC’s coverage of the 2010 Winter Olympic Games.
Along with their own headlining theater tours and concerts alongside Friendly Fires, Hundred Waters and The Big Pink, the musical trio has performed at several festivals, including the Matt Groening-curated All Tomorrow’s Parties in 2010, Coachella, Sasquatch Festival and Lollapalooza, among others.
For their most recent effort, 2012’s “Coexist,” the indie pop outfit expanded their ticket-buying base with post-dubstep EDM influences. Though mellow, these touches can be heard in the album’s first two singles, “Angels” and “Chained.”
I love the XX and the only reason why I’m not rating the event 5 stars is because of the long wait time. The event started at 7:30 and the opening band played for a while but then there was this extremely long break in between and the xx didn’t make it to the stage this after 9:30 and only stayed on till 10:30 :( their performance was amazing though
The XX was so incredible. The forum is such a great venue. The seats are awesome and the crowd was so fun.
The staff were friendly and helpful. The sound quality on the floor was AMAZING.

The xx performance was amazingly beautiful, no regrets. I'm happy I got to see them play live and up front and center. They are really amazing artist and their music is inspirational.
First of all, i'm very impressed by the control of the venue, but the show, i couldn't get my eyes off of them, i totally recommend them, very talented people, and so humble. I had so much fun.
Their voices are amazing and Jamie XX on the turn table is unbelievable! Completely enjoyed this concert!
I usually expect the diva treatment from Americans so I was shocked that "The xx" had the nerve to keep their fans waiting for as long as they did. I got there at 8pm expecting their opening act to be over in a short while and they were. But it also took them over 90 minutes to come out and perform, bringing the start time from 7:30pm to 9:30 pm. I love this band's music but I will no longer be paying good money to see them due to their lack of consideration for the time of their fans.
I went to this concert with my two daughters. We arrived at 730. The opening band was pretty good. Once they were over we waited over an hour for the XX to come out to the stage. They were amazing but I was a but disappointed when after only one hour they were done. Definitely the shortest amount of time the main band has played at any concert I've ever been to.
the xx surprised me with how much energy they had and the effect that they had on the crowd. It was probably one of the best live bands I've seen with true chemistry onstage and a genuine appreciation for their fans! Loved this so much!
that’s all I can say. They blew my mind away. I wish there set was a little longer than an hour but either way I recommend them.
It was my first tim seeing the xx. the venue was great love this band they really up a great show would most def see them again.

Great energy all around, I would've loved a digital version of the show to listen too. The xx deconstructed some songs and upped the tempo on others that made your heart flutter or move your feet.
Amazing band, amazing sound, amazing lights, great crowd and friendly staff who were very helpful guiding us where to go, where the closest restrooms and exits were, etc.
The show was out of this world. The lighting show was amazing. Their performance blew my mind, they are better live.
When they finally came on and sang for one hour, it was great. However, to show up 2 hours late, you are not that famous to do that to your fans.
The xx gave an amazing and constant performance from start to finish, including an astonishing array of lights but with so much upper level seating and a sold out show I’d expect screens displayed throughout the show.
Each and every member shines through in their live performance. Oliver, Romy, and Jamie put on an amazing show. There set was a little short for my taste but each song they played was a great one! The stage was simple yet very colorful during Jamie’s song with Romy <3
