About

After 21 years of entertaining children around the globe, The Wiggles will introduce three new cast members including the first-ever female member, Emma Watkins as the Yellow Wiggle.  Founding member Anthony Field, known as the Blue Wiggle, rounds out this vibrant group with Simon Pryce (Red Wiggle) and Lachlan Gillespie (Purple Wiggle).

Always educational and entertaining, The Wiggles will be joined onstage by Dorothy the Dinosaur, Captain Feathersword, Wags the Dog and Henry the Octopus for an extra wiggly good time. This marks the first time that North American audiences will get to meet the new line-up and hear new music, as well as sing along to their favorite hits which are all incorporated into their live show. Taking Off! features 21 new feet-stomping songs including the catchy soon-to-be favorite, “Do The Propeller!” as well as "Beep! Beep! Buckle Up!” "Emma (with the Bow in Her Hair)" and classics such as “Rock-A-Bye Your Bear” and “Get Ready to Wiggle.”

  • Go Wiggles!

by naners on 7/23/09HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 5 out of 5

I took my almost 15-month-old daughter to the Go Bananas concert, and it was great. She squirmed a bit but was able to sit in my lap for almost two hours during the show. It was entertaining but not overwhelming for her which was perfect. She is very familiar with the majority of their songs, so when the ones she knew started playing she immediately perked up and did her own wiggling. Probably her favorite part was when they played "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star" and dimmed the lights and pointed several spotlights at a large, revolving disco ball on the ceiling. There were glittery lights all around the arena which was captivating for her. And of course finishing the concert with her favorite song "Hot Potato" didn't hurt either. There were older kids all around us, but she did great for someone her age. I'm really glad I took her. Things like this are what parenthood is all about.

  • Wiggles on Pilates

A disappointment to shows past. The stars were engaging enough with the children in the floor seats. There was one main prop along with a mini trampoline and a mat. It looked like Anthony Wiggle was using the show to get a workout as he did many stretches, upper body work and a multitude of handstands that were not good (for laughs I guess). The Wiggles go bananas? There was one song with a banana in it so I'm not sure of the title. The main prop, a hollow cube was used for perching on, stretching and hanging. There was also a lack of their old music. I guess it's easier to produce twinkle twinkle little star with handstands then create new songs. Not an overall exciting event but the kids were amused. Next time, rent a Wiggles DVD.

  • The Wiggles was great BUT toooooo Short...

by Winwinma on 7/23/09HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

The Wiggles were great and they sang most of their popular songs BUT the show lasted very very short and wasn't long enough.

I and my granddaughter had a great time and I highly recommend the Wiggles they have produced an event that appeals to both young and old.

  • Good execution, low volume

by SeventhErasureConcert on 7/23/09HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

While the dancing, singing and production value were all good, there were a couple issues. One, because it was a kids' concert, the volume wasn't as loud as a regular concert. But that made it hard for us near the rear of the bowl to pick up some words. Also, there were no giveaways as is typical in a Wiggles concert and less audience interaction. I credit some of that to our attending the second show of the day and the performers were tired. Plus, disappointingly, Wiggles dancer extraordinaire Ben Murray was not in attendance.

  • poor sound quality

by Rita22 on 7/23/09HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 1 out of 5

We could not understand the words to any of the songs during the show. The stage castle fell a little> I felt like it was a cheap thrown together show. I wasted my money on the experience.

Our daughter loved it so much, we really enjoyed it too. They were so energetic, it was a lot of fun. We will definately go again when they come back to California.

  • Wiggles show their physical strength

by Wigglemom on 7/23/09HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 3 out of 5

Bright lights, dancing, Wiggle characters and Wiggle songs are what you expect to see at a Wiggles concert. What you don't expect are all the gymnastic routines. I was a little dissapointed that they didn't more songs. But my kid still enjoyed it.

  • Not what I expected.

by MacFavorite on 7/23/09HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 2 out of 5

The Wiggles were a little disappointing. I thought it was just me so I watched my two 3 year olds to see if they were enjoying the show. They had been so excited prior to the event. One of my daughter's said "The Wiggles don't have gymnastics and angelina ballerinas". I think that there was A LOT of focus on the dancers and not so much on our four favorite guys. They did a good job with spotlighting Wags the Dog, Dorothy the Dinosaur and Henry the Octopus. We made the best of it by trying to act silly towards the end. Just not what I expected.

  • Wiggles were totally worth it!!!

by alltheragemom on 7/23/09HP Pavilion At San Jose - San JoseRating: 4 out of 5

The Wiggles were great, our seats on the otherhand.... not so much. I highly recommend staying away from the sides when purchasing tickets and getting the seats where you have full frontal view of the stage. Luckily, my little ones didn't notice but if they had been older it could have been a disaster. To end on a positive note, the Wiggles really did a wonderful job of keeping the kids attention, mixing things up, walking through the crowd, etc. The kids ate up each and every Wiggle moment. The music was awesome, the dancing was wonderful and you could tell that the Wiggles put a lot of effort in the show. I highly recommend this concert for kids who love dancing and bouncing around. The best part... the whole arena is filled with parents who understand the trials when trying to get your child to cooperate.

  • I love the wiggles

by krlynne on 7/23/09ARCO Arena - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

First off it was REALLY amazing to see the guys in person since they've been taking over our TV for the past 4 years :) Love all their songs and it is REALLY nice to know that the guys truly care for the children and really tried to involve everyone (parents and children) as much as possible. We all had such a great time and can't wait to go again! I will be very sad when my children outgrow these guys :(

  • LOVED it!!

  • Wiggles Act Looked Tired

by WigglyPoo on 7/23/09ARCO Arena - SacramentoRating: 2 out of 5

Pro: Energetic, interaction with the crowd; Sam and Murray came out to the crowd. Con: No show theme; little use of the backdrop and other props; too many acrobatic acts; not enough dialogue; pace of show needed some variation; needed more of "Where's Jeff?" The egg jokes were overdone and lame. Murray came out to the crowd, but spent too much time in one section.

  • Wiggles

by ROCKlinMOM on 7/23/09ARCO Arena - SacramentoRating: 3 out of 5

We had a fun time at the Wiggles concert. My daughter was so happy to see The Wiggles and their friends. I was quite disappointed that we paid $32 ($17 more than the other seats available) for a "Exclusive Wiggles Givaway," that was only a three page activity book. The books were on the seat backs of our chairs before we arrived at the concert and at the end of the concert, the seats that had not been purchased, random people were able to walk up and take the books resting on the chairs. For $15 extra an actual program or something similar would have been more appropriate.

  • A must if you're a Wiggles fan

by WigglyMom on 7/22/09ARCO Arena - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

Fully Awesome! Just kidding, but no it was amazing. I have 3 kids ages 2, 4, and 5, and they were smiling the whole time. They really know their audience well. If you're a fan of the wiggles, then you'll love them live. My 5 year olds favorite part was when they got to play a trick on Jeff with trick flowers that exploded. The show is really high energy with lots of singing, dancing, and gymnastics. They sure don't let the fact they're in their 50's slow them down. I was worried that the volume might be too loud since a lot of music concerts are really loud, but that wasn't a problem. Like I said they know their audience well.

  • Fun!

The event was fun, kids & parents had a great time!

  • The Wiggles were spectacular!

by branflake on 7/22/09ARCO Arena - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

My favorite part of the show was how interactive they were. They actually walked around the audience and said hello to the kids, gave them high fives and not just the kids down in the floor seats, they walked up to some of the higher seating. My kids got to meet Murray, they were so excited. They also try to read all of the signs kids make and collect any roses for Dorothy or bones for Wags (which all go to charities). It lasted about an 1 and 1/2 hours, which was perfect for my kids (3 and 5 years old). The shows that only last an hour seem to go by way too fast!

  • Wiggles were great!!!

by MommyandTeacher on 7/22/09ARCO Arena - SacramentoRating: 5 out of 5

This is our 4th Wiggles concert and we loved it! We chose to sit on the back row of the floor seats so that we wouldn't bother people when our kids were dancing and it turned out to be great!!! I love the Wiggles new "Getting Strong" theme and since both my children (3 and 4 year old) are into gymnastics, well they had a ball "learning" some good moves. Also, my kids came out wanting to eat veggies since we kept telling them that the reason all the Wiggles and Dancers were so strong was because they eat their veggies!!! :)
