    A tale of two concerts

by Mike on 5/31/22CoolToday Park - North Port

Symphony itself was great. Parking and approach road to the stadium an absolute nightmare. Will not go to this venue again.

    Logistic Disaster

by Denny on 5/31/22CoolToday Park - North Port

Could not get into parking due to inadequate traffic control. There was 15 minutes left of the concert when car was parked. Had paid for reserved parking which was non existent. We were in line to park for one hour and forty five minutes.

Wouldn't go again if at CoolDay

    by T & C on 5/31/22CoolToday Park - North Port

First: Orchestra was fantastic. Second: Rockappella was dreadful. Third: Acoustics were poor. There was an echo effect that made it difficult to hear where we were sitting on the Terrace. If the concert is at CoolDay and/or Rockappela is involved, we would not attend.

    Patriotism

by Gooch on 5/31/22CoolToday Park - North Port

Jammed as expected but traffic WAS RIDICULOUS!!!. Coordination of parking was a nightmare. After arriving at our seats the music was glorious and enjoyable UNTIL the "guest group" of 5 vocalists ? started to perform ?. Sound system was so bad unless you had direct view of the stage all was garbled. Not sure who theses wannabee older Boys to Men were but they sucked. Sang theme songs to various products, intermittently threw in scat and gibberish. Very painful to listen to. STILL after 3 years not enough patriotic music. Fireworks show was grand which passed quickly and we all left with a good feeling of purpose. Overall, wait until 2 hours after the show starts to get to your seats. Dissatisfied and disappointed at the program.

by Traffic Jam never got in on 5/31/22CoolToday Park - North Port

The lines of traffic snaked around and out onto Tamiami Highway! We waited in line over an hour and a half to go three-quarters of the way to the parking lot that we had to get to. At that point the concert was almost over and we were so disgusted we left! Very poor choices made by Venice Symphony to manage this element. Very disappointing for us as we were looking forward to this event on the holiday. Don't know how the event was because we didn't make it in! Last year it was wonderful!

    5 Star

by Kathy Schober on 5/31/22CoolToday Park - North Port

Beautiful Memorial Day Performance by unparalleled talent! The entire evening was enlightening, moving, fun, entertaining! The director was passionate about his craft and it showed in every piece they played. The program was appropriate for the occasion and highlighted the reason in recognizing the armed services veterans. 5 Star Review!!!

by Deb on 5/31/22CoolToday Park - North Port

I paid for parking when I bought the tickets. I thought that was the smart thing to do. Now it turns out only those who paid online paid. Everyone else got free parking due to "the hassle" of collecting the money/scanning the parking passes. It wasn't that much but it is doubtful I will ever pay for the parking online ahead of time again. I also thought there would be a clear bag policy but none whatsoever. live and learn. Most venues have that now. Symphony was awesome - and leaving the venue was quite painless. I heard some people tried to attend but left due to the gridlock in traffic. We got there early and had no issues at all.

    Wonderful evening!

    by J. L. on 6/16/21CoolToday Park - North Port

The Venice Symphony was wonderful, as always! The patriotic theme, the Army officer doing the introductions, and singing, the beautiful evening, followed by the amazing fireworks! Wow! It’s been too long! :)
