This left me wanting more of Elvis. Even though these four guys are not Elvis they did any amazing job of bring Elivs alive.
I bought the tickets for my mother, sister and myself. Wasn't really sure what to expect, I only knew that we all like Elvis music. The performers were great! They did a fantastic job! Not only Elvis, but the dancers too. We thoroughly enjoyed the show and have discussed seeing it again in 2013.
My boyfriend and myself just loved it! The Show really captured & did not forget Elvis the King as all the Artists performed. They were so talented & should be reconized for their hard work bringing a Great Ledgend alive for all those that grew up in that era or for those as myself & my Boyfriend that grew up knowing and loving his music; but unable to experince Elvis in his time as we would had loved to. I do have to say Bill Cherry is definitely the Cherry on top. He is just amazing & so talented. He brings Elvis alive right to you to see & experience how fun and insperational his presents was. Bill Cherry has the vocals & the movements, dead on, with Great Great performance. I would Love to see Bill Cherry alone in concert. He would put on an unbelievable Show & we would be there. We are planning on going agian to this Event in 2013. Thank you
Elvis Lives ROCKED the house. Made me want to get up and dance!!
This was a great evening out with great music. The opening and closing were the best of the set, but all the players were really into the Elvis scene. The evening seemed too short but all of it was a great night
AS A LIFELONG ELVIS FAN, I HAVE SEEN MOST OF ELVIS' DECENT CONCERT FOOTAGE THAT SURVIVE....OVER AND OVER AGAIN. AND AS A MUSICIAN, I WOULD BE QUALIFIED TO JUDGE THE MUSICAL ASPECTS OF THE SHOW (ONE DOING A ROCKABILLY BAND MYSELF). TO EMULATE ELVIS IS VIRTUALLY IMPOSSIBLE.....THE CHARISMA, HUMOR, HUMBLENESS, CONFIDENCE, AND TALENT THAT ELVIS WRAPPED INTO ONE BODY HAS NOT EVER BEEN MATCHED. ALL OF THE ARTIST'S DID A VERY ENTHUSIASTIC INTERPRETATION OF ELVIS PRESLEY....AND I SAY INTERPRETATION BECAUSE SOME OF THE PERFORMANCES WERE A BIT BEYOND OR DIFFERENT THAN WHAT I FEEL ELVIS WOULD OF DONE LIVE. MOSTLY IN THE 1950’S AND EARLY 1960’ S ELVIS. BUT NOT BEYOND BELIEVABILITY, WE HAVE TO UNDERSTAND THIS IS ON A MODERN STAGE, AND NOT WITH JUST SCOTTY MOORE’S LONE AMP TO ENTERTAIN YOU. THE SHOW RAN CHRONOLOGICALLY, AND THE FIRST 3 ELVIS’S ALL WERE PRETTY GOOD…..DUPLICATED SOME OF EP’S MOVES WELL, DECENT VOCALS, AND RESPECTFUL INTERPRETATION. I WASN’T KNOCKED OUT IN ANY WAY THOUGH….JUST NICELY ENTERTAINED. THE FINAL ELVIS WAS BILL CHERRY, OF WHOM I HAD NOT HAD THE PLEASURE OF SEEING LIVE BEFORE, JUST ON SOME YOUTUBE VIDEOS. CHERRY QUITE SIMPLY, STOLE THE SHOW. HE PULLED MOSTLY FROM THE HAWAII CONCERT AMD JUST PRIOR YEARS…..AND I SCRUTINIZED HIM ON THE BIG SCREEN. FROM THE SENSE OF HUMOR TO EVERY SUBTLE ELVIS MOVE, CHERRY WAS DEAD ON. IT WAS RATHER ASTONISHING, GIVE THAT SOME SONGS INCLUDED “AMERICAN TRILOGY”, WHICH IS RATHER DEMANDING VOCALLY. CHERRY LOCKED ON ELVIS’ SOUTHERN CHARM AT TIMES, KISSED THE LADIES, AND STRODE ACROSS THE STAGE LIKE THE REAL ELVIS…..THE OTHER PERFORMERS TENDED TO WALK TOO FAST, OR NOT HAVE THE LEAN FIGURE THAT PRESLEY HAD THRU 1974 (KARATE YEARS). WHILE THE OVERALL SHOW WAS REALLY A PLEASURE, I WOULD RECOMMEND IT MOSTLY JUST TO SEE CHERRY PERFORM…AND I HOPE HE GETS A TOUR OF HIS OWN ONE DAY AND DOES JUST ELVIS 1970-74 SONGS. IT REALLY WOULD BE THE CLOSEST YOU COULD EVER COME TO RELIVING THE PAST. THE MUSICIANS WERE GENERALLY TIGHT AND PUT OUT A LOT OF SOUND FROM A MEDIUM SIZED ENSEMBLE. I WAS DISAPPOINTED THAT THE SCOTTY MOORE PERSON WAS NOT LIKE SCOTTY THOUGH…WHO WAS TERRIBLE RESERVED AND RATHER SHYISH ON STAGE. THE BILL BLACK FELLA TOOK BLACK’S UNIQUE BASS MOVES AND UPPED THEM MORE LIKE THE STRAY CAT’S BASS PLAYER – LAYING DOWN THE BASS AND PLAYING, WALKING UP THE SIDE A BIT, ETC. THOSE WERE STRETCHED INTERPRETATIONS TO ‘MAKE SHOW’. AND ON ONE OTHER NOTE…THE ANN MARGRET ACTRESS LOOKED 10 YEARS OLDER THAN THE ELVIS SHE DANCES WITH….HARDLY VIVA LAS VEGAS. MAYBE THE SHOW WILL POLISH MORE WITH TIME AND REVIEW, ITS STILL A STRONG 4 STARS…..WITH CHERRY BRINGING YOU HOME AT THE END AND CRAVING FOR ANOTHER HELPING!
I would have rather had one less ETA. They could have done without the Ann Margret skit although it was good. I would rather have had more songs from from the three ETA,S. The 50s, comback era and the concert years should have had more songs. Still a very enjoyable night
The concert blew me away... We would go see it again. It is a must see for any Elvis fan! You will not be disappointed!
Great Show! The music was great and the presentation was amazing. Loved the old clips. Would love to see it again!
The show was well paced and used the big screens to good advantage. The only thing that was wrong was the drummer- his bass was up much too high- you couldn't hear the vocals on a couple of songs in the second half. For some reason the first half the drums were not jacked up as much. The crowd was very receptive and made for a fun night. The 4 singers were well-chosen for the time frame they were supposed to represent- too bad they couldn't do a longer set.
Elvis Lives was a fun show with some great singing! Each Elvis artist was extremely entertaining...and for a moment you really felt like the King was there! I'd recommend this show to anyone, young or old, who enjoys Elvis.
My husband is the big Elvis fan but I really enjoyed this show. The music and voices were incredible. Very entertaining. I would highly recommend this show even if your not a big Elvis fan.
Loved the show! An awesome documentary /musical/ Elvis impersonator show. All of the artists were so talented, the impersonators so Elvis-like. This show was worth every penny!
The Elvis tribute was a fabulous lively show! Everything was superb!!
Fantastic show, myself and my children really loved the show. As big Elvis fans I don't believe it could have been done any better!
This is a MUST SEE for any Elvis fan. If you're not a fan, after seeing this show, you WILL BE.
The show was awesome. The impersonators we're great and overall production. Looked and sounded like the real thing. Even Ann Margarett had me convinced.
Elvis Lives Is by far the best show I have ever seen. I grew up with elvis movies and songs being played on records and radio. I will never watching Elvis aloha hawaii concert. I wanted that jumpsuit so bad. This show was AWESOME and I want to see it again. My wife is The big Elvis fan She wanted the front row so she can get a kiss too. GO SEE THE SHOW IT WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY.
Every performer was great especially the last Elvis
Absolutely LOVED all of the guys, not so much resemblence, but vocals rocked!
