The Tragically Hip put on a great show. The venue was way better than Darien Lake. I would recommend seeing any concerts at Canandaigua

    Fully Completely phenomenal!

by JA004 on 7/10/15The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

The Tragically Hip put on yet another outstanding show. This was my first event at The Colosseum. There does not appear to be a bad seat in the house, though I was in General Admission. Gordo and company rocked the crowd for a solid 2 hours, with a few awesome (but not overtly distracting) graphics displayed on drop screens during the show (ie: hockey scene, 50 Mission Cap). Will definitely go back to this venue, and of course, will definitely be going to more Hip shows!

What a great venue and a phenomenal show! Free upgrade for our seats too! Went from ga to AA section. Band was loose and having fun. We were dancing like crazy so the band invited up to the front row!! What a great time we had! They gave my wife the set list and a pick too.

    Hip Hip Hip!!

by Madgery on 7/7/15Constellation Brands–Marvin Sands Performing Arts Center: CMAC - Canandaigua

Another great show by Gord and the guys!! Rochester you missed a great show, this event was not sold out! I've been to 12 shows and The Hip are ALWAYS sold out. The band still played out their hearts and Gord was his usual Gord Downey self...if you're a fan you know what this means!

    One of the worst concerts!

by Anonymous on 7/6/15The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

I've been to hundreds of live concerts. This has to be one of the worst. Gord was druck/high and he sang off key and out of rythym. He acted very goofy and it seemed like we were at a comedy show. I know the Hip junkies loved it but I wish I could get my 2 hours back and a refund.

Tragically Hip was great, Casino Windsor not so mu

by DetroitDorothy on 7/6/15The Colosseum at Caesars Windsor - Windsor

if you're going to watch a show at Casino Windsor, do not buy tickets for the Mezzanine. Pay more to sit further up or buy General Admission and stand. We had first row in M5 and people walked in front of us the entire night. Then when we stood along the rail for the encore, security came and told us we couldn't stand there. Hello! What about all the people that walked by that whole night?? The Hip are still great after all these years. They played all of Fully Competely, several songs from Day for Night, plus Poets and Music@Work. Don't go with your heart set on one song not on Fully Completely. They're repertoire is so big that chances are you'll miss it. Gordon Downie had a couple songs that he was slightly off, but overall he's still amazing and highly energetic.

Are these really the songs that we came to hear?

by WaterfordEmily on 4/17/15Rogers K-Rock Centre - Kingston

First the positives... really great production on this show. Great lighting, excellent use of projections and scrims. Also, the band sounded great, as you would expect from a band that has been playing together for almost 30 years. Final positive is that Gord looked and sounded great. The band played the Fully Completely album in its entirety, plus a career spanning selection of other big songs. But it was almost like he didn't want the audience to sing-along. He changed the melodies of virtually every chorus. The guys trying to sing back up almost looked amused since it was impossible for them to sing back up too. And when they are looking at each other like that I felt like someone should stand up and say "Hey guys... remember us? You know, the 8000 people who paid to be here? Want to let us in on the joke? Want to sing something properly so we can sing-along?" It would have been so easy for this to have been an absolutely stellar concert, but instead it slightly sabotaged by the singer's "artistry". Guys, if you don't want to play your songs, maybe you should just stay home.

    Hip-tastic!

by DylCass on 2/20/15Meridian Centre - St Catharines

The Hip put on an unforgettable show! Gord rocked the stage... Obviously! We had a fantastic time... The only bad part about it was we got there at 7:30 because our tickets said the show started at 8, apparently the tickets were wrong, it actually started at 9. My Boyfriend wanted to go for a smoke before the show since we were early, and they told him if he left he would not be allowed back in. He was pretty bummed and it did bother the experience for him a little. If we knew that earlier, we would have come later or picked up some gum or something for him!

    The Hip delivers

by PascaltheBear on 2/20/15Meridian Centre - St Catharines

The February 17 show it the garden city of St. Catharine's was a warm welcome reprieve from the cold dark winter of 2015. The Tragically Hip strolled in to town led by their iconic front man Gord Downie to play their classic album "Fully Completely." The Hip always deliver a great live show and this was no exception. The tour slogan could just have easily been, "We don't mess around," because the Hip tends to let their music do the talking now a days. Songs like "Locked in the Trunk of a Car," and "Fifty Mission Cap" were performed with classic Hip sensibility. Newer songs like "In View," and "At Transformation" were performed with the same energetic zeal by the long time Kingston rockers. Hopefully the trip down memory lane will inspire the band to continue making well crafted, no nonsense music in a culture that should require such.

    time travel is possible

    by jremillard77 on 2/17/15MTS Centre - Winnipeg

I was at that show. You know that one at the Winnipeg arena....the last time the Fully Completely tour came through Winnipeg... and boy oh boy the one last Saturday was as good or even better. the original show was already on my top 10 of all time list.. this one just flew past them all. The hip has always meant alot to me and my wife and I was so glad to experience it with her again.. our first concert together was the original one and now we have come full circle. It was an amazing experience. Thanks

Long time coming, well worth the wait!

by Demander on 2/17/15MTS Centre - Winnipeg

This was one of the best Hip concerts in years - maybe decades. The vocals were better than remembered and I felt like I was watching a group of guys who know how to do their jobs well and were enjoying it. Would have loved a little more banter but enjoyed Gord D's antics as always. Here's hoping a Road Apples tour is next! Thanks for coming to Winnipeg, I hope you know we appreciate it!
